Worst customer service! Do not bank with stride or chime. They are incompetent, rude and hang up on um you without giving you a proper answer to a question. I was not told that they don’t accept international wire transfers until I made one, waited 5 weeks!!! For 10k to come through and still trying to get my money back! Worst experience.

This bank has come up as an invalid bank with Amazon, spectrum American Express milestone and a couple more. This bank has cost me money through late fees brought on by being invalid. Tried to contact via email and behold their site was unable to process the message. My trust in this institution is completely gone. Gave it 2 stars for the mere fact that the debit card seems to work great with no issue

I've been using Chime bank for several years. About 3 days ago they suddenly closed my account. It took me the next few days to get them to answer me about why my account was closed and where my money is.

They finally responded with this message

After a recent review, your account was found to be not in compliance with Chime's internal policies and your account agreement. Your account has been closed by Chime and is not eligible for a refund. For more information please review the section titled Amendment and Cancellation in the Chime Deposit Account Agreement:

I have asked them many times to explain exactly what I did wrong, because haven't done anything out of the ordinary. They refuse to answer me with an explanation and just keep sending me the user agreement.
I liked how they told me no refund, I didn't purchase from them its my money they are keeping

I strongly recommend no one use Chime bank because apparently they can close your account anytime they want and keep your money with no real explanation as to why

What I really want to say I can't say on here but they advertise for free ATMs all over the place with doordash direct errands actually going to an ATM that is absolutely free for 20 years they charged me $2.50. I looked at my statement I couldn't believe my eyes. After numerous attempts of contacting them and about 2 hours on hold there's nothing that could be done even though the ATMs are free they charge $2.50. Bottom-feeding blank blank blank.

I am a door dasher and my dasher direct pay is thru stride bank I had fraudulent transaction of 69.99 and they gave me a number to contact merchant and the doctors office that answered said someone is using there number for fraud and that the bank could call and verify to get my refunded back and stride bank refuses to refund unauthorized transaction I have been on the phone 3 times with bank for 30 mins each time for them to finally say they won't refund me I'm a single mom of 3 girls and that's basically after the 5 dollar replacement card 75 dollars I lost because stride don't wanna follow thru on fraudulent activity

Stride Bank / Chime is the worst to trust and use, I used them for Uber and Lyft and still had money taken from my account, called them up and they for some reason can’t explain this. They promise rewards but steel it back from you in small increments! This is a scam, they will take your money off these cards big or small, they do! Most the time you won’t notice unless you watch your ingoing and outgoing transactions like a hawk and do the math like I did! Don’t use them if you Lyft or Uber, just have your money deposited into a real brick and mortar bank account, don’t fall for this.

THIS IS A VERY INCONVENIENT BANK THEY ARE NOT OPEN 24-7 THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS AND THIS BANK TAKES WAY TO LONG TO MAKE MONEY TRANSFERS.

As I spoke with Crystal, Cooper, Claire and Linda who’s behavior was absolutely unprofessional and untrustworthy for financial institution reps they refused to provide answers to multiple questions about nature of their certain business activities with Lyft Direct / Payfare ( who impersonating themselves as bank and does unauthorized practice with financial tools )... they also transferred me to their so called supervisor Maria/ Megan who never returned any phone calls and I doubt by now she even exists

I contacted Chime to ask them why they were acting as a DBA of Stride Bank, and the call center manager didnt even know what a DBA was. How do you become a manager, and not understand what a DBA is. Furthermore, they claimed the call center was in California, but the bank location is in Oklahoma, which makes no practical business since. Then the debit card they sent me looks like something you would provide a 16 year old kid, who doesnt plan on utilizing the card very often. I would stay far away from this bank as its practices demonstrate basic knowledge on the banking system itself. Beware, they are going to worse than a bank like BOA.

Not many reviews about this bank. Now I have a secured credit card with stride. Which is great and all and has improved my credit. For 2 years I’ve been on time with my other accounts also. Yet, they have denied me twice for a small personal loan. And when u contact customer service, they don’t explain in detail why. Reason:could not verify bank information. So I asked what is it that you need to verify? I’m told the same reason could not verify bank info. Try again in 30 days. Well it would be great if you tell me what to verify so when I do reapply I want have that issue. So I applied a 2nd time. Denied again. I make close to $40,000 before taxes. Since I’m at home with family. My housing is less than $500 a month. So I’m
Good on funds. I need to open a few more accounts to increase my credit profile quicker. This is suppose to be a green loan. So it’s sucks for you Stride, I’ll hang on to my credit care with you. Because it did get me 40 points in a month. But I’m disappointed in being denied a personal loan. Not recommended.

wasted my time excellent credit and they denied my loan for less than 10K what kind of BS Bank is this dont waste your time ..Got to be a scam to steal INFORMATION. stay away from this Business

Don’t try to get a loan in a timely manner or cause maybe you need fast cash this place is a joke on how they slowly conduct business!

Do not use this bank EVER. Lyft/Payfare partnered with this bank to pay out Lyft drivers direct after each ride, and that is about ALL they are good for. My experience with them aside from that was the most horrific ever. I used them as an option for direct deposit for my federal refund , they have ACH credit limits of $5000.00 daily, and that is understandable from an average bank payment, HOWEVER the IRS sent a refund exceeding that amount, and they REJECTED my funds, therefor leaving us to the mercy of the US government and SNAIL MAIL. Had my circumstances not been unique I would have understood their limits, BUT this was not the case for myself. Myself and family are leaving the US indefinitely and we have been waiting on these funds to leave. Our home has been sold, and we are now left to be homeless. The IRS is now going to have to cut a check for which we will NOT be able to receive via mail because we will no longer have an address . This could not have come at an more terrible time. I have now spent HOURS on the phone with both the IRS (impenetrable) and Stride bank asking them to increase their limit just this one time and have been unsuccessful in my attempts. For anyone receiving deposits higher than $5000 daily, this is NOT the bank for you. And to add to this fiasco this is a BUSINESS account, not even a personal account. They are the worst financial institution I have ever worked with. I thought I hated Bank of America, they are now at the top of my list. STRIDE BANK IS THE WORST.......
