I got in touch with Streamline back in March 2024 and got through to the lovely Jonathan.
From start to finish the whole process was smooth and any questions I had were answered by Jonathan.
It can be a nervous time when looking at weigh loss surgery, all the information was provided to me clearly and there was no pressure to commit to anything.
I can honestly say I was in the best care with Jonathan and the Streamline team. 😊

I have had a great experience from the first point of contact with Shaw Somers and my subsequent gastric bypass early in 2014. Shaw is such a leading bariatric and obesity expert and he really understands the challenges that those of us who struggle with obesity face. He is also very approachable, a great communicator and an excellent surgeon. My surgery went very well and I have maintained a level of weight loss that I am delighted about. I have continued to see Shaw occasionally and have sought advice about Saxenda and now Mounjaro. I am delighted with the excellent service that has been set up with really helpful dietetic advice and follow up and medication provision. This has not been possible before. Michael from the patient support perspective is very approachable and accessible and acts as a really helpful mid point between the clinicians and the patient which really helps as well. Thanks for setting up this joined up service and for all that Streamline does to support us all. I really can't recommend them enough, and of course Shaw is practically perfect in every way!

I started my sleeve journey a year ago but had surgery delayed due to a rather large hiatus hernia which needed a separate repair before the sleeve. I think most of the surgeons have an NHS practice as well as working with Streamline and as a result my consultant Prof. Pring was able to advise me through the procedure for an NHS hernia repair surgery. Rachel, the patient support queen, kept in touch and checked in every so often whilst I was waiting for the hernia repair. Vickie kept me on top of my appointments when it finally came time to book the sleeve again and Prof Pring was bloody amazing. I felt safe, I felt held and above all I felt supported by this wonderful team. I cannot thank them enough from Rachel’s uplifting funny phone calls to Vickie correcting my bad memory and for Prof Pring for the wonderful job he did in finally getting me through. The team never left me despite my unscheduled hiatus (no pun intended) and I now consider myself part of the Streamline family.

The staff from receptionist to Mr Somers himself couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.

Streamline as a Company have been fantastic so far on my weight loss journey. Especially Jonathan, Vickie and Rachel who at all times have always made themselves available to talk to me when I was stressing out over a few bumps in the road. Their service is impeccable, they make you feel comfortable when you speak to them, nothing is ever a problem and they explain things to you. Everything seems to be so organised, the nurse, dietician, psychology appointments which are arranged prior to surgery and set up for after surgery, so much support which I did not expect.

I went in for a gastric sleeve on the 26th of June, I’m currently nearly 6 weeks post operation. My surgeon was a Nick Carter in Portsmouth spire hospital. Everything about my experience was amazing, how calm Nick made me feel about the whole process on our initial meeting, how the staff treated me in spire hospital, you made surgery feel like a breeze . I was checked on countless times and someone was in my room within seconds if I needed help. The staff were so friendly and generally looked like they loved their job.

I feel amazing, over 2 and a half stone down and starting a new relationship with food and healthy eating, it’s changing my life for the good week by week.
The recovery was easy from day 5, little uncomfortable when bending/sleeping but the medication given to you when you leave was effective . My scares from the surgery have healed up beautifully, there now two little 3-5cm lines on my belly that I hardly even notice anymore.
