I had a gastric band in 2022 and lost zero weight, I've had numerous fills and defiling and even though I'm now down to 2ml in my band, i can't eat meat or bread. I'm always bringing up clear slime, its vile. I hate eating as i don't know what I'm going to choke on next! Having a gastric band has just made me miserable. £7000 wasted! Its just vile. And after your aftercare is finished, which to be honest, the aftercare wasn't great. Your on your own!

From start to finish I have had a fantastic experience with Healthier Weight. From the Consultant and nursing staff on the ward to the nurses who provided aftercare.

From start to finish the service has been exceptional. Professor Singhal is class leading and the backroom staff/nurse are excellent.

My treatment was carried out at the excellent Fitzrovia hospital. If you are awaiting to have your Gallbladder removed on the NHS, don't, use these guys. Worth every penny

We chose Healthy Weight for my husband’s gallbladder surgery due to the long NHS waiting times, and I can honestly say the experience has been exceptional from start to finish. We spoke with Arabella, who was friendly, professional, and answered all of our questions with ease.

All the paperwork was sent promptly via email, and everything was clearly explained in detail. The surgeon also called for a pre-operative consultation, during which they explained the procedure thoroughly and addressed all of our questions.

8 months ago I made a decision that would change my life forever.
I thought about having a gastric bypass for 12 months, doing research after research. Nearly opted for going abroad. Then I found Healthier Weight. Right from the off, with the initial enquiry with Vicky, I knew this was the company for me. Rishi Singhal was the surgeon I chose, because he's one of the best in his field. When completely replumbing ones insides, you want the best, right?
Had my consult with the prof, and thereafter picked a date and hospital to suit me.
Checked in to the Priory in Birmingham and before I knew it the surgery was over. Was looked after extremely well by everyone there.
I am now almost 5 months post op, and have lost 69% of my excess body weight. My blood pressure is now normal and I'm not on meds anymore. I no longer have reflux and am off those meds too. But the biggest thing for me is the back pain relief. So much less pressure on my arthritic spine, bulging discs and spinal stenosis. This was the whole reason for surgery in the first place.
I can honestly say, it has been life changing for me.
Hopefully I will live a longer, healthier one.
I had a call only today from an email query I sent yesterday, and Yasmin was super helpful. You don't have to wait for HW to call, they are there on the end of the phone/email whenever you need help or advice.
I would 100% recommend Healthier Weight.

I had a gastric band fitted in 2013. It was not great, I had three adjustments with fluid in and out of the port. I lost no weight at all. All it did was make me put my fingers down my throat as food was not able to go down easily and it just got stuck halfway down. I had to switch to very soft and liquid food to function. Turns out the band had slipped/ twisted/ moved! It was removed by the NHS as I couldn’t go on with it like that. Tests and scan showed it was positioned badly. Think twice before opting for this procedure.

Healthier Weight completed a surgical procedure for me on behalf of the NHS. The procedure was completed successfully far earlier than the NHS would have been able to. I was able to select a date with certainty of who would be carrying out the procedure, when and how.

I was able to talk to the surgeon and received good advice and reassurance and the call really built confidence.

Treatment was good, surgeon and anesthetist were excellent. Spire Parkway Hospital was excellent.

I'm still less than 2-weeks post op but everything seems to be progressing well.

I had a gastric bypass in 2013 with Healthier Weight and while the surgery went well, I don’t think I was advised properly about the potential after effects and cost of the vitamins afterwards I was just told ‘you’ll have to take vitamins for the rest of your life’. Now I’m not in a position to pay for it all, as originally I thought I’d just be buying a few cheap vitamins from
Boots, but you are looking at £40 a month. In addition I didn’t lose the weight I wanted to, because I ended up drinking wine every night and practically became a functioning alcoholic - apparently this is very common but something you’re not told about prior to the surgery. I’d say think twice before permanently screwing up your insides.

I had my surgery with Mr Madhok 2 weeks ago (gastric sleeve). He was absolutely amazing so are the healthier weight team. Laura M is who I booked with and no question went unanswered. So was so patient, kind & put me at ease. Have no regrets choosing this company for my major surgery and would highly recommend.

after 5 years of surgery i stil kept the weight off, the support stopped over a year ago when the health worker went on maternaty leave some one took over but had one call since, shes probably had 3 babies since 2013 but i enjoyed the follow ups every 3 months

I’ve done my surgery last year October. I must say the surgeon the nurse the reception everyone is so kind and understanding to me even the simplest thing. I can always call the nurses the practitioner the dietician and ask question that always there to answer my questions and make me feel happy at the end of the conversation. I would recommend them to anyone. I’m glad that I choose Health Weight and I’m happy with my choice. 

It was a wonderful caring experience from start to finish. Had my surgery in May 24 with the fantastic professor Singhal . I can’t recommend them enough. I am a registered Nurse and am so impressed with the care and after care I have been given. Absolutely brilliant. 6 stone gone for good!!

Healthier weight was so helpful so kind, and so grateful to my brother who recommended me to Healthier weight.
All I can is Mr Sadiki was so professional it was unbelievable.

The two nurse Sue's were amazing I couldn't thank them enough.

The room was lovely and clean, even the cleaners respected you asking if they could come and clean the room.

I've been back to see the staff on the off chance what was no problem to them.

From September 24 I was a 44 waist now I'm 34 waist.
I was about 120kg now I'm 88kg.
I was wearing X/Large jumpers and shirts now I'm wearing medium size.

I would recommend Healthier Weight 110% "yes" it was a little bit expensive, but losing 6 stone it was worth every penny.

I was extremely well looked after proceeding surgery. My stay and the surgery was perfect. The nurses looked after me so well. They made sure all my information was followed and medication ready for discharge.
I’ve had check in calls. I’ve been really sick but I emailed and got a call immediately trying to assist me into feeling better.
I was really struggling. They were on hand to help me sort it out. I have felt truly looked after.

I had my Gastric Bypass through Healthier Weight at the end of May 2024, and I have lost a total of 8 stone so far!
From the start of my journey in March 24 until now, the team at Healthier Weight have been very supportive and have always been helpful with any questions that I had.
I have to mention Jackie who has been amazing and encouraging and has given me great advice throughout my journey.
I would highly recommend using Healthier Weight.

Excellent company to do business with. Professional, friendly and very informative. Nothing is too much trouble, all queries and questions answered in a professional and easy to comprehend manner. Felt totally at ease by the time I had my operation. Highly recommend.

This company have been excellent. From start right up to today they have done everything exactly as promised. Customer service at its very best. They don't just want your money to then disappear, they truly care about you.

A company that is very good pre-op, however post-op, don't follow up or support their patients enough. I feel quite let down after the money spent with them. Their answer is to use the app, but absolute minimal support is sort offered by random telephone calls. My own GP was more support.

From start to finish I've had a great experience. In particular the follow up calls were great. And any questions I had were answered.....thanks for all your help
