Strathclyde Windows Anmeldelser

I would definitely recommend Alan and the team- I still can’t get over how simple and easy they made the whole ‘getting new windows’ feel. Very friendly, honest and accommodating- and managed to get my windows in before Christmas despite me leaving it so late!

Thanks again for everything!

Following extensive research and consultations with various companies, Strathclyde Windows emerged as the unequivocal choice. Their outstanding reviews, featuring transparent and authentic testimonials from satisfied clients, were a significant factor. My initial inquiry was handled efficiently, followed by a productive call with Gordon, who attentively listened to my requirements for the porch. Gordon's professional and approachable demeanor ensured that my vision was fully understood. The subsequent home visit with Jim, our carpenter, was an exceptional experience; Jim demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of our desired porch design. All aspects were clearly articulated and aligned with our predetermined budget. The project was completed within the stipulated timeframe and to an exemplary standard.

We are extremely pleased with the completed porch; it has, in fact, exceeded our initial expectations.

We wholeheartedly recommend their services.

I’ve just had Strathclyde windows install our very large living room windows, porch area windows and door, and our dining room window. They have completed a first class job, delivered and installed when we asked for. They took 2 days to complete the installation and left everything tidy after completion. We are very happy with our windows and with our dealings with Gordon and Alan with the management of the job, and with Peter and Lee who completed the work. There were no hard sales tactics, just honest and knowledgeable information about our requirements. I would 100% recommend using Strathclyde windows to all my family and friends, and would use them again when required. Great job lads 👍

I've been living with my new windows for a little over a month now. From first contact, right through to the installation, the whole process was made easy by the company's no nonsense approach and good communication. Even when an issue came to light after fitting, the company acknowledged and remedied the error. No fuss, no issue.
Special mention for the team who fitted the windows, for the high standard of finish, accompanied by no mess.
All in all,, delighted with the process and the product.
I would not hesitate use this company again.
Highly recommended.

Great service from all involved , communications were helpful and all scheduled times were honoured , the two installers involved in these works , Scott and William worked away very efficiently , especially as at this time of the year Dec 2025 the weather conditions have been challenging with high prolonged winds and heavy rain , We basically handed over the existing keys to the property to Scott and William and they ` got on with the job ` ,they kept us informed of the progress on a regular basis ,and left the property in a nice clean condition with minimal damage , All in all a good job , the team get a thumbs up from us .

Great service from start to end. Constant communication over the phone through the process. On the initial home visit I never felt I was being upsold and ended up getting less windows done than anticipated due to the honesty of Alan.

The work was done to a very high standard and the guys were very tidy in their work. This was followed up with a call from Gordon after the work was completed to ask if we were happy with the service.

Very pleased with the products installed and wouldn't hesitate to use again and recommend to others

Had Strathclyde Windows back out for another 3 windows at my rented flat.
Fantastic service, Gordon and Alan were very quick and transparent about costs and service. Install fast and clean. Highly recommend

Couldn’t even get a quote out of this company. Most companies come out, look at what you need doing and give you a quote. I got a completely pointless phone call from Elaine who was nice enough but said I needed to speak to Gordon. Missed his call then couldn’t get in touch with him as he was ‘in meetings all day’ finally spoke to him and got a sales pitch telling me to watch videos and read reviews (I’d already done that, that’s why I contacted them?!) and asked about other companies I’d had quotes from so he could tell me why they were awful instead of what his company could do for me. He then asked to send him pics of my windows and then he can quote me and then Alan can come out and show me a sample. What a carry on. Took pics and text them to him. Then he asked me to send them over whatsapp(!). This is DAYS after I first reached out. I’m now about 10 days after I first requested a quote and Gordon is now saying my pics look like 5 windows not 3 which is ridiculous (even if they were counting the top and bottom panes of my tenement bay windows it would be 6, he’s plucking 5 from thin air). If someone had just come out and looked at the blooming windows they could’ve quoted me there and then. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

I recently had five windows replaced by Strathclyde Windows and have been extremely satisfied with the whole process. All members of the team are very professional. There was no pressurised sales from the owners Gordon and Allan. The installation was completed very efficiently by Scott and William. They left my rooms, including the common areas, in excellent order. I will definitely use Strathclyde Windows to replace my remaining windows and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who wants a professional, efficient and reasonably priced company to complete their work.

From the initial contact to finish there was no hard sell, they worked with me. I took my time deciding and actually they were my second choice, my first went bust! However very happy I went with Strathclyde as the windows are fantastic, the old ones were well passed the use by date. Consultation was excellent and took my wants into consideration and did not try to sell extras. The fitters were lovely, personable but professional, they worked hard and got all my windows fitted in 3 days. Gordon looks after his workers and it shows, will use his services again if I need to!

This company which is led by Gordon and Alan were an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. I chose them based on reading other positive reviews and was not disappointed. They got in touch straight away and arranged a visit out which was convenient with their samples and to give a quote. They were were very friendly and approachable and happy to answer any questions. They were upfront and honest and did not push a hard sell like other companies would. The price was very reasonable and also made clear the timescales for installation. They kept in touch throughout the whole process and also installed the windows ahead of the planned schedule. Their fitters came out first to take measurements and on day of the fitting arrived at a prompt time and were curteous, professional and cleaned up afterwards. Very satisfied customer and would definitely recommend them to anyone in the future.

Just had Strathclyde Windows replace several windows for us (including a very long row on the front of an extension) Very happy with the whole experience. No hard sell techniques, just useful advice and suggestions from Alan on the initial visit. We were kept up-to-date on the timing, and Scott and William did a great job on the fitting. Very good finishing and left everything neat and tidy afterwards. Check up call from Gordon afterwards, to make sure we were happy with how everything went. Would definitely recommend!

I have used Strathclyde on a few occassions now for 1 Dormer Bay and 4 large tilt and turn windows in kitchen, bathroom, study room and bedroom, I was recently back at the apartment for the month of August in between changing tenants, refurbing top to bottom and I just decided to bite the bullet and finish the other windows so the whole 7 bed duplex would be double glazed. This included a large Bay Window-3 huge sections, a dining room, smaller bedroom and the main bedroom with 2 large windows - so 7 very large windows in all. Gordon was great on the phone and remembered me from previous orders, he quoted on the spot as he knew the buildings int he area, Alan was even better in person when he came to price up, there was a slight disagreement on pricing from the company phone quote but Alan graciously accepted the confusion on the company's side and the initial quote was adhered to which dropped £1000 on the home visit quotation. (the windows are old sash systems so the extra work is a lot more than normal) so overall the cost was absorbed by Strathclyde which was perfect for what I was wanting to do and spend. 1 week later the surveyor came, very swift and 3 weeks later the windows were installed. Tenants are very happy as the cold weather is just starting to build up, not to mention Storm Amy which has just finished. Heating bills will be much less this winter compared to normal. Many thanks guys, very professional throughout and truly looking after your clientele. Unfortunately I will not be coming back to you with another order on this house as it's all done now :-) however, I am planning to purchase other properties in the area and rest assured, if they need double glazing, you're the guys I will be calling

Being a first-time homeowner, I was a little anxious about choosing the right company to install new windows — but Strathclyde Windows completely exceeded my expectations.

From the start, Gordon was incredibly helpful and reassuring. He was always available to answer my questions, explained everything clearly, and made what felt like a big job seem simple and manageable. His communication throughout the process was outstanding.

The installation team was just as impressive. They arrived on time, worked efficiently, and were very friendly and respectful. What really stood out to me was how thoughtful they were with my young and skittish cat. I had to be at work during the installations and was worried about leaving him alone, but the team made sure to check on him and always safely closed him in another room before starting any work. That level of care really meant a lot.

The new windows look fantastic and have already made a noticeable difference in warmth and sound insulation. I’m so glad I chose Strathclyde Windows and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone — especially fellow new homeowners.

5 star service I came across these guys online thay were brilliant from start to finish there attention to detail was absolutely 💯 outstanding a big thankyou to Gorden and whole team can't thank you enough . Regards tommy.

Strathclyde Windows installed four new double glazing for us in September 2025. The whole expereience has been terrific:

- responsive and proactive customer services;
- great communication;
- clear and competitive pricing with no hidden extras;
- an informative sales process that took account of our own preferences and priorities;
- smooth, tidy and timely installation (four windows installed in 8 hours or so);
- great workmanship and an immaculate finish;
- super aftercare.

Thanks to Gordon, Alan, Robert, Gerry and Jack for a 5 star customer experience! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Strathclyde Windows.

Very professional and reliable company. Reasonably priced and good quality windows fitted. Nice people and would highly recommend to anyone

My neighbour recently had all her windows and doors renewed by the company. They made a fantastic job and the price was very fair. I had the company out to supply fit new French doors. Unlike some glazing company's there was no hard sell and an honest fair price. They worked around my schedule and fitted the doors perfectly, the fitting team where fantastic very polite and very clean no mess at all.
All in all a great company great service and very comparative pricing.
Thank you again for a fantastic job

I recently bought a new flat, and decided I wanted to change the windows and door. After dealing with a few companies, I contacted Alan at Strathclyde Windows. Alan, arrived at the agreed time, and took a wee tour round, then asked me what I wanted. I explained my needs, and without all the sales pitch nonsense, he showed me exactly what I wanted. A few days later, the drawings and pictures of how my windows would look came through, and all looked amazing. Set date for windows to be installed, and although I could not be at home for installation, when I did get home, apart from my fabulous new windows and door, you would have never known his team had been in, place was spotless. Massive thanks to all, Alan, Andy and Billy. Amazing service, and brilliant workmanship. I would highly recommend.

Excellent service from Strathclyde Windows

We recently had work done by Strathclyde Windows and couldn’t be happier with the result. From start to finish, the team were professional, reliable, and a pleasure to deal with. The quality of the windows is excellent, the installation was carried out quickly and with great care, and everything was left spotless afterwards.

It’s refreshing to find a company that does exactly what they promise and more. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Strathclyde Windows to anyone looking for quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
