Quality control lacking
I submitted 100 35mm slides to Southtree for digitization and received my thumb drive less than a month later, which I was very pleased with. However, the quality of the conversions was not what I had hoped for, or expected. Although the majority of the slides were displayed on the thumb drive as the original image, others (About 20%) were not. In some, the image was so dark that details could not be discerned, snowy scenes had a bluish cast, contrast was off in some and in others the colors were not as in the original slide image. A black horse appeared blue! Some of the images were loaded sideways on the thumb drive. All-in-all, I expected better quality control from a company that touts itself as one that treats my "...precious recorded moments" with the utmost professionalism and "...converts every item by hand". I don't feel that I received this level of service from this company.
