Strong Recovery After a Difficult Start – Excellent Service from Annie R
I used Sort Legal for a residential property purchase.
Initially, I was disappointed with the service and would likely not have considered using them again. The solicitor originally assigned to my matter did not appear especially proactive and often took weeks to respond to requests, including relatively straightforward actions such as sending emails to the other party’s solicitors.
However, my experience improved significantly once my matter was reassigned to Annie R. She responded to most requests on the same day and was proactive in chasing the other party’s solicitors whenever progress slowed.
I was particularly impressed that, despite being a trainee solicitor, she demonstrated a strong level of knowledge and attention to detail. She raised points and asked questions of the other party’s solicitors that I had not even considered, which gave me confidence that my purchase was being handled thoroughly.
Had I worked with Annie R from the beginning, this would have been a five-star experience.

Not only did he walk me through each stage of the process but also helped me get all the information I needed to complete the transaction
He also went above and beyond with detailed instructions and information where required
Explaining elements of the process that I did not fully understand
He also gave me options and guidance on elements that I needed to make decisions on
Absolutely the best firm to use

Budget solicitors living up to their name, nothing is moving on our chain for no reason other than our incompetent solicitor Amjad Khan! We bought knowing there was a small chain above, relatively easy, everyone has been waiting on ME! but it's not me it's my solicitor! I've advised I want to move now, but he's not prepared to make it happen! WORST SERVICE EVER!

Had a remortgage in April'26. It was slightly frustrating to convince Mahenoor's supervisor (forgot her name) that a property value (which includes land) is different from re-build cost.

Excellent conveyancing service
We used Sort Legal for our recent house move (including buying and selling). We had been recommended them by our friend who is an estate agent and has used them many times. Holly B and Sophie H were absolutely amazing throughout our process. Our move was under time pressure and included some legal difficulties from all parts of the chain. Holly and Sophie were so prompt to respond to anything thrown their way, and I really believe that our chain may have fallen through if it wasn't for their swift, professional and efficient actions. We never want to move again(!), but can highly recommend Sort Legal, and particularly Holly and Sophie, for those that do!

Poor communication
Poor communication on their part when we remortgaged meant a payment from the old mortgage went out that was unexpected. We then have to wait a week for a refund. They got the job done, but not to a good standard of customer experience.
