Ben was really helpful in selecting the ‘right’ pair of jeans for me, as well as finding the shoes I wanted.

My go-to for lots of clothing, and often the only UK stockist. Also fantastic service from real, knowledgeable people.

I ordered some Paraboots and the delivery was quick and efficient. The shoes were too big, so I had a few email exchanges with Emerson who was very helpful.
I ended up going into the store as I happened to be in London and the team there were also very helpful and knowledgeable.
I would highly recommend a visit to the store, however their online support is also excellent.

Great selection of heritage wear especially items from Japanese brands. Loving the short videos explaining and showcasing interesting products.

Would be great if they could put a model onsite (with height/weight stats) - this will benefit online customers immensely in choosing the correct size.

A mistake was made with the inventory for an item that I ordered, but Emerson from the team very quickly got back to me and provided a couple alternatives. They also made sure that I knew exactly what the alternative option I chose entailed and that I’d be as satisfied as possible with my choice. Great service in shop and online. I recently made a purchase online and returned an item, but there was an issue with the courier. I contacted son of a stag and Emerson was very helpful in resolving the issue.

I recently ordered a jacket from Son of a Stag that turned out to be out of stock. The customer care team was remarkably proactive—they notified me right away and presented alternative jackets for me to consider. When I found that my size wasn't available in those options, they immediately canceled the order and issued a full refund.

I had a brilliant experience at Son of a Stag. I initially messaged them on Instagram about a jacket I was looking for, and they quickly let me know they had a couple available in the shop.

When I visited, I was looked after by Ben, who was genuinely welcoming, knowledgeable and passionate about the products they sell. The whole team clearly knows its stuff, and the shop is packed with stacks of exceptionally high-quality menswear.

I walked out with a fantastic jacket and have already ordered another online, which I’ll be heading back to collect this week. I’m a new customer, but Son of a Stag has definitely won me over. A great independent business with excellent products and genuinely helpful service.

Appalling service stay away - go to clutch Cafe or Rivet and Hide

I’ve spent upwards of thousands at Son of a Stag over the years, which makes the way I’ve been treated by certain members of staff all the more disappointing.

The younger employees have generally been perfectly pleasant and helpful, but the attitude of some of the older gentlemen in the store is, quite frankly, unacceptable. On more than one occasion I’ve been made to feel like a nuisance, spoken down to, ignored, or made to feel as though my being in the shop is an inconvenience. That is not customer service.

Regardless of how much a customer spends, everyone who walks through the door deserves to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. But when you have loyal customers who have spent thousands with your business, you would expect even the most basic level of appreciation rather than an attitude that makes people feel unwelcome.

What concerns me even more is that this isn’t something I’ve experienced or heard about just once. I’ve heard similar complaints from a significant number of other customers, so at this point it really does need to be addressed. When customers repeatedly leave a store feeling unwanted or looked down upon, eventually they will simply stop coming back and no amount of great products can compensate for consistently poor customer service.

Son of a Stag needs to take this seriously and address the attitude of certain members of its team. Retail is retail. No one is expecting to be treated like royalty, but customers should not have to tolerate being made to feel like an inconvenience for having the audacity to walk into a shop and spend their money.

The products and reputation of the store are good, but that reputation will only carry you so far. If this attitude continues, you will lose customers including loyal, long-standing customers who have already spent considerable amounts of money with you.

This needs fixing. Listen to your customers, address the problem, and remember that without customers, there is no business.

I have to say in contradiction of some of the reviews in that my experience of the online service has been exceptional both times I’ve used it. I’d recommend if you have a query to give them a call, the guys in the online team are super helpful. Emerson in particular was brilliant sorting me out with an item very short notice and extremely quick delivery. I won’t hesitate to shop here again.
