Failed twice in less than 3.5 years
We had an invertor and battery system installed in Oct 2022. It broke (the battery stopped working) in April 2023. It then took until Oct 2023 to be operational again. It broke again (same issue) January 2026. We are now stuck between Livoltek, who badged the system and we have a warranty cert for, and Soltaro, who supplied the unit to our installer and provided the original replacement system board.
System currently not storing energy (7 weeks so far) so cannot recommend as 2nd failure.
Soltaro solar equipment broke down twice in 3.5 years
Having experienced two major solar equipment faults in 3.5 years and the company's 10 year warranty isn't worth anything without any call out as the warranty relies upon the customer at your expense to get someone in to decommission the equipment, packing for transporting, arranging freight there and back and if repaired successfully recommissioning once returned, potentially hundreds of pounds. I took the hit and changed equipment over to a different manufacturer.

We have had a few problems with the system which ended up with us replacing the battery. Getting the system up and running again was a struggle. I contacted Soltaro and Connor has been super helpful. He explained the issues and helped every step of the way to resolving the problems. He continued to monitor our system for a couple of weeks to make sure it was all ok. Thank you Connor for all your help.

My battery has been installed for around 4 years and there have been issues, some as small as the power tripping, other larger issues as the battery/ inverter replacement. Each time the support team have always been able to resolve the issues, ok it takes time but they have always fixed the problem to my satisfaction.
Very rapid reponse to Ticket.
My 3-year-old solar PV inverter and batteries are from Soltaro. It's fair to say that reliability has not been great. However, on the positive side, Soltaro Support is always excellent: fast response to a ticket being raised and always helpful. My most recent ticket, this week, has again received excellent attention from Connor at Soltaro Support in Australia: ticket raised at 1955 on 7 Jan; response received at 0710 on 8 Jan! Response advised checking CBs and I found that one had tripped: problem solved.

We recently had a total inverter failure. We contacted Connor who arranged for us to go up to him and bring the inverter to him. He checked it out and tested it and immediately replaced the unit so from Breakdown to up and running just 48 hours after sales service doesn’t get any better than that ‘nn

Connor to the rescue!
Connor was able to remotely alter our charging periods after we changed to a more beneficial tarrif on Octopus.
He contacted us soon after our request and outlined the data he required to go ahead with our desired charging periods.
Great service and now we hope to see a reduction in our overall running costs through the winter period.

My inverter failed just after 18 months the company refused the warranty blaming the installation and only offered costly repairs so terrible

If you want a nice looking battery that performs well, Soltaro is the way to go!!!
My Inverter/battery unit was installed…
My Inverter/battery unit was installed two years ago. It failed last February. Soltaro immediately stated it wasn’t installed correctly and therefore the warranty was voided. At the same time Soltaro proposed several repair options, all of which where expensive and at my expense. The solution was to ditch Soltaro and replace with another provider’s unit. All good so far.

This company is the worst
This company is the worst when it comes to customer care. They will do and say anything to void the warranty. The second system has failed after only 3 months. The first system battery failed after 2 years, and the replacement battery was faulty from the start. Now they won't contact me except to say I need to send it back for testing at my expense.
I have taken this issue further, and recommend anyone considering this company DON'T
Very poor after sales support
As shown on one of their websites: "At Soltaro, we believe in proper customer support you can rely on."
My experience is very different. They use every obstacle possible to avoid providing customer support when a battery needs to be returned for repair. They do not answer phone or e-mail enquiries.
Avoid at all costs!

Soltaro's solar battery is outstanding.
After reviewing many battery systems Soltaro stood out as my preferred choice. Dealings with the company were on a personal basis and the installation of my unit in my garage was prompt, organised and particularly tidy. Another happy customer.
SCAM COMPANY, DO NOT BUY!
Got my Soltaro battery installed a few months ago after being tempted by a promotional deal. Unfortunately, the product has been a huge disappointment. The battery doesn’t deliver anywhere near the performance they advertise — it struggles to hold charge and barely contributes to reducing our grid usage. It’s definitely not living up to the specs or claims made by Soltaro.
Tried reaching out to their support team multiple times, but they’ve been completely unresponsive. It's incredibly frustrating when you're dealing with a product at this price point. Even worse, the battery was marketed as having a 20 kWh capacity, but in reality it's closer to 10 kWh. That kind of misleading advertising is unacceptable.
Feels like I’ve been misled and left without support. Would not recommend. Very disappointed.

Terrible, avoid! Very poor design, the battery cells failed, then our inverter failed. Waited months for replacements as they don't seem to hold parts in the UK. One service tech trying to cover whole of UK. Soltaro try to wriggle out of the warranty in any way they can.Very poor after sales. They try to blame the installer, then the location... anything to void the warranty. Ive talked to other owners that system have failed, some one than once... like ours! See their response below, I have lots of pics of my installations and will gladly show them to anyone. Units replaced by their own staff have failed. Units replaced by their own CEO have failed. No one ever suggested location was the problem!!!Manufacter defects and very poor design. No evidence what so ever that location caused these faults AS ALMOST ALL FAIL!!! Installation instructions very subjective...for example 'adequate ventilation'... but the early version 1 gave no clearance distances at all. Yes, they did update the instructions eventually , but that is no help at all to the units already installed! I still have the Soltaro training documents and nothing about location/ventilation other than the word 'adequate'! In the hands of solicitors now.

Installed June 2021, Soltaro AIO2. Multiple battery faults over the first 12 months of ownership. A service ticket was raised each time and the issues were 'resolved remotely'. After the eighth reported fault in July 2022 and much arguing a warranty replacement was given. It took 2 months from the system going down to the replacement being installed. Another fault in June 2023, again 'resolved remotely'. Another fault in August 2024. After engaging initially, multiple requests for updates were left unreplied to by Soltaro support. We eventually decided to swap out the soltaro for a different system. It is my personal belief, given that both the original and replacement unit failed, that the Soltaro AIO2 is an unreliable product and prone to multiple failures. I also personally believe, from my own experience, that customer service is not a priority in any way for Soltaro.

We've had in excess of 150% failure rate... yes you read that correctly 150%..... We have documentation to prove this.
They will then use ANY excuse not to follow up on warranty claims & not pay for return warranty calls.
