Absolute worst decision I EVER made. Where do I start...firstly the communication is terrible. I wore the first set of aligners religiously and although they seemed to work on my bottom teeth they actually made my top teeth WORSE and I developed a gap so wide in between my two front teeth that I whistled when I spoke. They sent me the second set of aligners....to the wrong address even though I changed it multiple times, via phone, live chat and also through my account page. I constantly got messages about products I didn't order, messages about was I ready to order my aligners when I already had them. I am about to finish my 2nd set of aligners and although there is some improvement, Im not overly impressed. I have ordered my retainers ages ago and they haven't turned up. I cannot access live chat anymore and my emails go unanswered. I would not recommend smile direct to my worse enemy, I should have gone with invisalign or just got fast braces.

I originally started the treatment on an 8 month night time plan however after it finished my teeth had barely moved, if at all. I constantly highlighted my issue throughout my treatment to customer service through the live chat function, emails and phone calls and was told everything was fine. After my treatment ended they sent me another 8 month “top up” plan which I was not expecting when I signed up, I signed up because the plan was supposed to be short and sweet. I have now been on the top up plan for four months so 12 months in total and my teeth still haven’t moved. I have been on to them regularly and they said that everything is going to plan however I don’t see how. Since being on the top up plan I have stopped receiving notifications to change aligners and have asked them upwards of seven times to get this sorted. I requested to cancel the membership and be refunded as neither the product or service was acceptable and had a call with Victor an account manager who was apologetic and offered yet another call with a teledentist in order to review my progress, or lack thereof, however even after emailing him multiple times with times/days I’m available for the call I’ve received no response and my change aligners notifications are still off. I’ve tried using the live chat every day for a week now to get some movement however there is never anyone available to talk too. I’ve now sent an email asking to finally be refunded and cancel the membership after over a year of wearing the aligners and no movement at all. Let’s see if they actually respond.
All in all a terribly disappointing product and appalling service, very little response and mostly just told to shut up and get on with it.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Appalling to deal with, aligners that simply didn't fit which was somehow blamed on me, and now, after advising me I can get a refund (lol), they're simply not paying me. Do your research into how many complaints this company has had before engaging with them. They're sharks.

I greeted with a warm welcome in by Tess following up with friendly conversations & any queries I had so I could get a better understanding, I would rate her customer service 100/10! Not only did she make me feel so comfortable & welcome, she was incredibly helpful too! Then I was seen by my dentist Lisa! I was so lucky to be seen by her! She kept my visit full positivity and incredibly informing, she was very patient with me while answering all my questions in great detail so I was left with no confusion at all :) I’m very pleased with my visit and would definitely recommend Smile direct Club to my friends & family! :)

It seems I was duped, did not say it cost for this, just the initial payment to get these. Grrrrr and what's up with the automated reply to bad reviews. Eww honour a refund at least and edit your ad to what it actually cost, $3000+, be honest

I am a month in and have found the whole process easy and enjoyable from the start. I had my appointment with Nicole in Newmarket, Auckland and she was great! I didn't really know what I was walking into, but she was patient, answered all my questions, explained it clearly and was overall really lovely. She definitely made me feel comfortable and excited about the product. There has been good communication and reminders to change retainers etc. Even the lip balm is nice - I use it everyday! Would recommend to everyone!!!

Trying to unsubscribe to their emails... which I didn't ask for... they make it really tricky... I have to write to or phone them. Should be a simple button push like other sites.

Amazing service, and very fast with re-sending my impression to re-take my impressions. Very clear instructions as to what to do. Would 100% recommend.

I've been using smile direct club for 22 months now! My original treatment plan was for 10 months and I am now on my 5th set of aligners and 4th treatment plan with barely noticeable results.
This company is an absolute nightmare scam and have never been able to complete a treatment plan, with over 10 broken aligners, two whole sets of deformed aligners and now, again a treatment plan which needs to be stopped and started over again due to aligners not fitting anymore.
I'm exhausted from complaining to this company, it's a scam, there are hundreds of real reviews out there and they're are nightmarish. Do yourself a favor and avoid this scam.

It was a very good experience the lady was very nice. But I felt that she expected I was going to go ahead and get the aligners there and then and didn’t ask what I wanted to do. I needed time to think about it and factor it into my budget which left me feeling awkward because she thought I was going to 100% get them sorted out and paid for that day. Was nice to get the goodie bag made me feel valued. Wasn’t offered my $40 prepaid visa though which I had received a text about that I was eligible for.

Hey guys, I had my 3D scan with Nicole in Newmarket today. Had no idea what I was walking into and found this process super easy, simple and could not believe that this was done within 30mins. Staff in Newmarket were super friendly and welcoming. Thank you so much for your help today Nicole, keep up the great work 😊

Had my first appointment in Christchurch with Rav, she was great to deal with and took the time to answer all my questions completely. Can’t wait to get started!

Super easy! The instructions were very clear to follow. Shame there wasn’t the ability to return the spare product and guards for recycling.
