As a photographer who finds staged lighting and the technical aspects of photography both overwhelming and cumbersome, the simplicity of this course was refreshing. Very straightforward and applicable to how I like to approach a shoot.

I loved this course with Alex. I am a makeup artist since 15 years and this course is another proof that you can always learn from someone else and evolve. I loved that he used different models with different skin and age, very helpful to see the same technique adapted to different faces. I loved the format with different parts, everything is very detailed. Thank you Alex for this course!

The tips are practical and simple and the course reminds me why I love photography. It also finally got me off my a**e to sort out the setting on my camera phone.

It was a great experience. The makeup course was very well done . It helped answer many questions I previously had about make up. Will surely take another makeup course , if part 2 is created.

Usefup tips and interesting to experience

I have just finished Simon's Intelligent Fitness skills 10-week program and I couldn't be more happier, these were money well spent. At the beginning I was little bit sceptical, but man, how wrong I was. Few weeks into the program I've already felt and seen improvement and after full 10 weeks results just exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this program to anyone who struggles with his/her fitness or can't find any good fit for them, or just don't know where to start. This is the way to go. It will be painful at the beginning, but so rewarding in the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed taking Alex’s makeup course. There’s so much to cover in a few hours but Alex touched on all of the important key points. As a more seasoned makeup artist, I still walked away with a new perspective on the various steps in a makeup application. This course is great for all skill levels. Highly recommend and hope to see more online classes from Alex.

I absolutely love the format, Alex' teaching style and the fact that 4 completely different models were used for this course. However, I was quite disappointed that all 4 models have perfect skin, full lips, and beautiful big eyelids. This is definitely not the reality for a MUA, so for me it missed its point. In addition to this, working with good hygiene is also a big part of being a MUA, and this matter hasn't been adressed once... This course definitely is perfect for beginners, but in my opinion not worth it for skilled professionals.

I have been a makeup artist for 36 years in our local union 706. Our worth is measured by being able to paint a pretty face with accuracy and speed most of all. The 1st section of the classes blew my mind because we are not allotted any time to do the cleaning. Just moisturizing, which if the actors face is not clean becomes a nightmare. Because the cream lifts the excess skin and dirt and now you’re dancing around in it. It makes holes in the finish that requires more and more coverage. Sometimes out of frustration I would wipe the cream off and start again which would work better but take up the time needed to paint the face. Thanks for showing your method and the explanation for it. I will try to incorporate a mini version of your method into my beauty makeups while still staying within the parameters of the producers contractually set time limits. Also who makes those double sized facial tissues? They seem very lux. And one last thing, I use Epicuren products for the prep. I am going to introduce their cream cleanser into the mix. I wanted to know if the toner you’re using leans more to the astringent side…? Thanks. I am really enjoying your techniques, Even with my experience I am delighted to learn new methods, your work is beautiful.

I completed a professional makeup course this year and Alex Babsky’s short course popped up on my Facebook feed and If I was to become a makeup artist I need to learn all I can, so I paid for the course and all I can say it put a lot into perspective when it came to skin prep and makeup application. The techniques he applied to the models and his reasoning on the application and techniques was explained in a way where it cleared up a lot of grey areas from the course I completed. Also by seeing what he included in his makeup kit and the products he used, also gives further insight on which are good products to use, especially for those in the beginner stages in becoming a professional makeup artist. Super excited to get into the industry.

I was hesitant at first, but I’m so so glad I signed up for Alex Babsky’s makeup course.
The layout of the course is great, easy to follow do it in your time, I was drawn in from the start.So many great tips. Love the fact that even after the course is complete still have access to the course.

Ich habe mir den "Essential Makeup" Kurs von Alex Babsky gekauft und angeschaut. Ich dachte, ich würde mich schon ganz gut auskennen, da ich mich täglich schminke.. aber zusätzlich einmal richtige Tipps vom Profi lernen, kann ja nicht schaden. Und ich bin absolut begeistert. Der Kurs ist super strukturiert, von der Vorbereitung des Gesichts über Foundation, Augen Makeup und Lippen und viele Tipps drum herum für alle möglichen Typen und Gesichter. Ich bin mir sicher, dass hier selbst Profis noch etwas dazulernen. Absolut zu empfehlen.
