To say that company is a cowboy operation is an understatement. I purchased my machine 3 years ago and took at the additional 15year guarantee service. This is a pick up and drop off service arranged via DPD to complete an annual maintenance.

On the first occasion they returned my machine with a broken draw, this took ages and many phone calls to resolve. This is now the 2nd time I hesitantly sent my machine in and again my machine is faulty. Trying to get hold of anybody in service is a complete joke. I have email Mehul Patel in service and he still hasn't answered my email explaining why my machine is faulty after I sent it in for a service.

This company does not give a damn about customers after purchasing. They have set up the 15year service at around £50 to make it affordable and attractive but all they do is damage your machine then tell you it needs fixing.

Our machine has been working fine and is only occasionally used. Everytime it has been returned it is damaged or faulty.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be contacting my solicitor and Trading standards if my complaint is not resolved and my machine returned to full working order.

I will be doing a full YouTube Video highlighting all my issues and a full inventory of Singer Direct's responses, hopefully this will make more consumers aware of this ridiculously rubbish company!!

Very bad experience bought a machine 1 week back with a promise of next day delivery now after 1 week no tracking number and they never bother to reply to emails and phone service is only for taking new orders not for tracking services. This company is fraud pls stay away from this company. I will raise a dispute with PayPal to try to get my money back from this fraud company

I purchase an overlocker around 6 months ago. One of the tension knobs has broken so I phoned up to ask if they could take it in for repair. They told me that I had to pay £80 for a collection contract, and and extra £15 because I have not got the original box.

This is half the cost of the machine again.

Also this is a fault with the machine, why should I have to pay £95 to get it rectified!!

I agree that the customer service is terrible and the person I spoke to was very rude indeed.

Please avoid this company, I wish I had.

Ordered a sewing machine with a bit of discount. Said delivery one working day so expected it more than a week ago. Emailed with concern and was told would be delivered by weekend. Nope. Further emails gone unanswered and no customer service on the phone.
Two weeks after purchase, still no delivery and still no response.
Fed up doesn't cover it.

Very very rude guy on the phone. It all stinks to high heaven. He is also Francesca, the girl on the web chat...

Absolutely awful service took over 3 weeks to arrive. Customer service were rude and un helpful, kept telling me it was due to arrive on all different days but never did kept pointing the blame to other companies.I used the online chat service who didn't help and ended the chat half way through as didn't want to deal with me. Finally got a number for the director of singer direct who answered the phone then said he will be with me in a minute and kept me waiting for 15 minutes already knowing how frustrated I was. Basically told talking and there had been a over sell on the product and had only found this out a couple of days ago. Reading reviews I now know this has been going on for a while. We ended the call with the director telling me it will arrive Monday and he appreciated my anger!!! This is extremely poor customer service. Would never use this company again would rather pay the extra for the machine on another website.

Seduced by the online offer from Mary (Chat bot I think) I ordered my Singer 4423 heavy duty...so far so good. 10 days later...nothing nada zilch. No dispatch notification, no anwer to emails nowt. Even if they said order delayed bu on it's way I would be content -but NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER !! - shameless. I will give them a couple more days qand then raise a claim with paypal. I wish I had looked at trust pilot before ordering. Pi$$ poor.

Ordered a machine under 30 day free trial as shown when you go through from google search engine, machine did arrive but far to complicated to use for an elderly lady so tried to return, apparently its only a 30 day free trial for an exchange and 14 day for a full refund - false advertising, you can only find this detail out if you go through their website, definitely not clear at all. When I rang the man was so rude, he even laughed and told me to go to trading standards and put the phone down on me. Appalling customer services, once they have your money they do not care.

Machine turned up not working properly, I have emailed but no return email just a case number, the machine is also faulty and I have emailed again, just another case number, no one available over the weekend. Quick to take money and send out but no one to get hold of, My machine in the end was agreed faulty but still no refund

The worst service ever. Emails rejected as non existent, don't answer calls . When you finally get through they are downright rude.

An update on my problem with Singer Direct, they will not give me my money back even though they have got their machine back. I am having to go to the law to try and retrieve it. This is probably all down to their managing director who is not the most polite person in the world I wish I could post a message he left on my phone it shows his complete disregard for his customers. I cannot contact them as he has blocked my emails and phone even the people I have spoken to regarding Singer Direct cannot believe how arrogant this man is.

I bought the Bernette Funlock B48 overlocker/coverstitch machine. The help I got from Singer both on-line chat and later by phone, was excellent. They told me all the information I needed to make the right choice of machine for me. Although the overlocker was a bit scary when I first took it out of the box (Bernina/bernette instruction manuals are not the best), I've now got to grips with threading and the terminology, and I'm really glad I bought it. It make sewing clothing, especially stretch fabrics just so easy, and quick. Wow! If you like sewing, then get yourself an overlocker/coverstitcher

The machine was awful, bobbin case kept clogging and automatic thread cutter butchered the thread. Paid 30 quid for a repair that did not repair it. PayPal had to step in to get my money back. I am not happy with this company.

V easy to order online and machine was received on exact date and time I was given which was marvellous. Machine itself is brilliant and has paid for itself already. Would thoroughly recommend ordering through Singer online to everyone.

I bought the Singer Quantum Stylist 9960. My first new sewing machine in over 20 years. It is AMAZING. Wasn't sure if I wanted to pay so much for a machine, but it is worth every penny. It has so many features, all of which are going to be so useful. Singer Direct was easy to order from on line. Only 1 issue. It was over the Easter break, so my order seemed a little delayed. I phoned the help line and a very nice man said he would chase up my order and ring me back. He was as good as his word. Phoned me back with update delivery info. My machine was delivered on the stated day. I would recommend both Singer Direct and especially the Singer Quantum Stylist 9960

Good service, just would have liked to know when it was being delivered as it was a large item and unfair to leave with neighbours.

Great service and very pleased with machine. Needed a heavy weight machine to sew carpet and this does the job perfectly.

I contacted Singerdirect to ask what deal was available on a particular model, they were very helpful and I purchased a machine that day.

Absolutely terrible service. Wrong machine delivered and even after so many emails and calls no reply. Absolutely disgraceful!
