Brilliant
After being annoyed at HMRC for ditching the old online facility and alarmed at the potential cost of the approved software for our very small CIC, I was happy to find SimpleCompanyTax.
I'm even happier now I've made our first CT600 return. The interface is much simpler and quicker to use that the old HMRC system, with much more useful help.
Due to a simple error by myself, I had to contact support, who came back quickly and helpfully.
Altogether brilliant in every respect!

I was dreading using commercial…
I was dreading using commercial software but this worked for me, at a very competitive price, and some quick helpful changes were made to the look of the website as a result of my comments.

The instructions were clear
The instructions were clear - step by step, not cluttered with lots of details. When things went wrong, when my return was not accepted by HMRC, the possible causes and what to do about each were very clearly explained. Little use of accounting jargon. The only issue I had was that when I wanted to clear all the information and start again, I wanted to see what information had been in the prefilled screens since I had changed the information; I could not find a delete or 'Start again' button. I will definitely use them next year.

Great software, made submitting LTD company accounts a breeze, much easier than HMRC's old system and one of the cheapest options out there too.

It was so easy to use and after a week of preparing the figures, it was a much needed relief.

Simple to use for micro entity accounts
The process was easier than completing the CT600 using HMRC's pre April 2026 system for a micro-entity.
The process is good in that you can go through the process until just before submission for free. You only pay when it is time to submit the CT600 to HMRC and the accounts to Companies House. This allows you to double/triple check everything to ensure it is suitable for your accounts before having to part with any money.
The only slight niggle was that some manatory fields would not allow figures to be pasted into them.
This is definately a good value product for simple accounts.
