Good price, location and units
Very good price, unit was as promised and easy check in process. The team was super helpful before booking as well

Visit and check out competitors before you sign
I moved into Shurgard Kentish Town on a long term lease in July and then moved two weeks later into Safestore down the road. Why ? I was sent measurements of the unit I had rented at Shurgard and then when I arrived was shown something half the height. Impossible to fit my racks in. They gave me something at the height I had booked at nearly 3 times the price. They were not interested in my complaint about how misleading their booking system is and said I wouldn't find anywhere cheaper. I knew this was a lie and booked into Safestore in Camden and moved everything two weeks later. I received an automated email from Shurgard saying that I would get a refund for the weeks I hadn't used but it didn't turn up until I chased. Lots of people on Trustpilot seem happy with Shurgard so I can only say - do visit and check exactly what space you are getting and check out the local competitors. I found a much cheaper better unit a few miles away

At Shurgard you can move your belongings to another unit at any time - either after you’ve reserved a unit or even after you’ve moved in. We will make sure to share your concerns and your feedback with the store team, and we remain at your disposal for any questions you may have.
unknown to me storage is on a mezzanine level and not possible to get furniture in there!
Arrived at the storage to find the value unit is a mezzanine level storage accessed via a ladder. The booking confirmation says floor level 0 and there is no other indication that the unit is accessed via a ladder. It certainly won't be possible to get furniture in there. There was no phone call or email to let me know this was the case before i moved in. Nor was there any indication 'value' means mezzanine. The young man behind the desk couldn't care less and says you can leave but you will have to pay 2 weeks cancellation. Apparently the manager can't help nor is there a customer service. It is basically a con job!!
