I was introduced to Shibumi by a friend and I couldn't be more delighted with the purchasing experience or the finished product, a lovely jacket, which I shall take great pleasure in wearing. I can't recommend Shibumi highly enough and I shall certainly shop with them again.

Wonderful service , had a bespoke Delphine coat made for my son’s wedding , perfect fit , ordered fabric to have a dress made nothing too much trouble . Lots of compliments about the coat .

If you are looking for a nice silk coat, THIS is the place!

I bought an Avani raw silk coat for my daughters wedding. As mother of the bride i felt wonderful. No-one else had my look and everyone commented on the wonderful colour, Midnight Blue.
I had walked passed their trade stand at Burleigh Horse Trials for several years wondering when I would have an occasion to justify buying some silk. Even though it was obviously a busy time with plenty of customers, they took their time to make sure i was buying the correct size and had exactly what I wanted. i am just about to wear this lovely coat again to my nieces wedding

The service and jacket that I had from Shibumi were fantastic. I was looking for something unique and high quality to wear to my youngest daughter's wedding - and I was thrilled to discover Shibumi. When I visited the show room in the Cotswolds, Ruth was very friendly, welcoming, professional and extremely helpful. I was spoiled for choice and surprised at the wide range and variety of designs and beautiful materials to choose from. I was thrilled with the final result and had loads of compliments from everyone at the wedding. Ruth was also very helpful when I ordered extra material to add the finishing touches to my hat and handbag. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Shibumi to everyone as an excellent, first class company.

I love Shibumi - so much that I now have 6 coats/jackets in various colours. I've worn my first Grace coat since I bought it in 2005 and I still get compliments. When I went to the US for a holiday, I had strangers stop me to ask where I'd got my jacket.
The fabrics are beautiful and the colours gorgeous but do listen to Ruth when she tells you which size is right for you. Against her advice I had a Grace made in a larger than recommended size and I've ended up having it taken in because it didn't hang as well as the others. Ruth knows her stuff so don't ignore her!!

I absolutely love Shibumi! Have worn coats to both of my sons weddings and felt a million dollars! I was thrilled when they started making dresses & handbags to match! The fabrics are exquisite and their customer service is second to none - they are packed with love! I have told all of my friends about them!

I feel I need to balance out some of the very negative reviews I’ve just read about Shibumi. My experience was a pleasure and the girls were fantastic from beginning to end. My beautiful coat was the star of the show on my wedding day and I felt truly fabulous in it all day long in fact I didn’t want to take it off. I had so many compliments about it too. The girls made my coat to order and It had to have a few alterations. This was all done quickly and it arrived looking perfect. My neice is getting married in May and I’ve just bought another coat to wear. It is stunning and I can’t wait to wear it. If you have somewhere stylish that you have to go to and you want to feel and look gorgeous these wonderful coats are so glam you can’t help but look amazing. Thank you so much Shibumi so glad I found you.

My pure cashmere dressing gown started to part at the trim seams and pilled dreadfully. The garment cost £300 and I had worn it for less than an hour per day for about two months. I returned it and received a very prompt and polite reply telling me that I shouldn't have tied it up so tightly, that I should have checked the website and that the care instructions supplied (which they weren't) would have advised me. Finally, as it had been bought 11 months ago it was too old for the problem to be rectified and Shibumi must stick to their Ts & Cs. The Shibumi dressing gown is a beautiful garment, but I advise not meant to be worn by ordinary people or on an regular basis.

Shibumi Style is not a company to be trusted. Don’t be fooled by what they say and show you on their Website.
Make sure you do not go for a made-to-measure order. I had an incredible bad experience with mine.
My made-to-measure Hepburn dress was delivered after c 6 weeks with big discrepancies between the measurements taken by Ruth and actual measurements.
Just one example: I’ve paid an extra £150 for the bespoke order and the extra fabric which was supposed to be used to make the dress longer than the standard length. Ruth’s measurement for “Waist to hem at knee” was 30.25-inch (according to the Client Dress Measurement).
However, the actual length was 26-inch (over 13% less than Ruth’s measurement).
This is just one example out of many where the actual measurement was very different from Ruth's measurement. I had to pay £75 to Top Stitch to make many alterations so I can wear my dress. I can't thank Top Stitch enough for the great job they did.
I would've given Shibumi 0 stars if possible.
