I have bought from Shibumi several times & have always been delighted with the quality of the service & garments.
They offer good value for spectacular outfits.

Speedy delivery. Excellent quality. Did arrive crushed but have hung it up to release crushes.

Sadly, my lovely friend at the other end of the country was having to go through chemotherapy and there was no way we could do anything for her. She needed to shield as she was incredibly vulnerable, and I really wanted to send her something meaningful. Having dealt with Shibumi before, and knowing the marvellous quality of their fabrics, I decided to sent her one of their beautiful cashmere shawls, in a soothing blue colourway. It arrived very quickly, directly to her, beautifully wrapped, in time for her to use it during her long stint of chemotherapy. She said it was like being wrapped up in love.

I have a number of Shubumi jackets and coats bought over the last 8 or so years and always enjoy wearing them. There is a great choice of different styles, all of them are timeless and the silk fabrics are beautiful. I especially love the vibrant colours.Whenever I wear them I receive lots of compliments. The service is excellent.

I wish I'd found Shibumi earlier in my search for the perfect mother-of-the-groom outfit - it would have saved a lot of wasted time on other websites and shops. The prices are reasonable: not super-cheap, but when you're looking for that special outfit it's astonishing how much you can suddenly find yourself thinking of spending, so low 100s, not 1,000s is a bit of a relief. The online service is helpful, and you might find exactly what you want that way, but it's really worth making an appointment to visit their remote Gloucestershire village location - even at the end of the wedding season there was plenty of stock in all styles, colours and sizes. It was only by trying on, with Ruth's guidance, that I found the perfect one for me. (Take your frock, hat, shoes, jewels, if you already have them, for the best match.) I was totally delighted with the long coat she helped me choose (worn over a Ted Baker dress). I felt elegant, comfortable - bonus: it had pockets! - and a bit bold and unusual, and got so many compliments on the day. I had announced that the outfit is now available for any friends who need it for a swanky occasion as I'll never wear it again - but yesterday got an invitation to Glyndebourne, so it's having another outing. Can't wait.

The team are wonderful (thank you Tyley), and the products are fantastic. My partner is a big fan, we'll keep going back.

My outfit for my sons wedding. I would recommend this company for ordering an outfit as to the exquisite look that you will achieve by wearing one of their garments. Many to choose from. I loved my coat so did everyone else amazing workmanship, but what impressed me the most was the conversations that I had with the company before my coat arrived as to what I wanted as to how I felt, and that they would do everything possible to make sure that I was happy with the product. it was exactly as it looked on the picture as a 66-year-old woman, I am not ready to be an old frumpy woman This company can make any woman of any age look amazing but most important to feel confident into what you’re wearing as to the quality as to how it’s been made. I ordered a beautiful bespoke silk opera coat to wear over a dress to my daughter's wedding in October. It was exquisitely made and stunning and drew lots of comments on the day. It really made my outfit special and I will treasure it and hope to wear again to another event. I met Ruth at her workshop and she was very helpful.

I came across the Shibumi website whilst looking for something to wear to my son’s winter wedding. I loved the Devi floor length coats but at 5ft 1 I didn’t think I would be able to get a coat to fit me properly.
However, Shibumi confirmed that a standard size 12 could be altered to fit me.
Taking our own measurements was a bit nerve racking but when the coat arrived I could not have been more delighted. It fits me perfectly.
The customer service was wonderful. All emails were responded to very promptly and Tyley could not have been more helpful with advice on measurements. The coat arrived ahead of schedule.

Great customer service and beautiful products

I went to my appointment at Shibumi with some ideas of what I wanted for my daughters wedding, but having had a number of disappointing experiences elsewhere. Tyley listened to the details of the wedding my ideas and concerns. she guided me through the options, I tried on so many coats & dresses, that I'm sure she must have been exhausted but her patience and knowledge was just what I needed. I left with a beautiful coat and dress and had so many compliments on the day, particularly saying how elegant I looked. I would highly recommend Shibumi for that special occasion outfit.

My first purchase was a cashmere silk dressing gown and I was astounded at the quality of the workmanship as well as the fabric . It is just so lovely and although lightweight is is very warm and elegant .
My second purchase which recently arrived was a Bhumi jacket in Narnia and from my measurements that I provided .It fits me perfectly and again the fabric & workmanship is impeccable and both items are not only unique but when worn is admired by many .

I ordered a silk embroidered jacket for a wedding. It is absolutely beautiful and very well made. I received many enquiries about its purchase. For any future events, shibumi will be my first visit, I really like the styles and wide choice of fabrics. I only wish that I had discovered the site sooner so that I could have had trousers made to match, but I ran out of time!

Beautifully made and timeless. This is the second Shibumi mother of the bride outfit I have chosen and loved them both. Shibumi staff were fantastic and helped me choose the right one for me.

I went Shibumi to buy a coat for my daughter’s wedding and I was very pleased with the result. The coat looked great on the day. The fit, the material and the design were perfect and I felt very well dressed. My sister came with me to choose my outfit and was so excited by the range of colours and fabrics that she also bought her outfit there! They were very different coats but both looked very striking and original and we both received a huge number of compliments on the day. Ruth at Shibumi also recommended a milliner- Annabel Allen and she made me a beautiful hat, working in the fabric from the coat, so that it coordinated perfectly. The coats arrived on the date they were scheduled and the fact that we felt very confident and happy in our clothes meant that we were able to enjoy a very special day to the full. Thank you so much Shibumi!

As mother of the groom, I was looking for something simple and elegant and I am so happy with the result. Tyley, a Shibumi stylist, was extremely helpful and patient, helping with color-coordinating, sizing and shipping. The Grace Coat that I ended up was perfect for the occasion and already I have worn it again and is fast becoming a wardrobe staple.

Fantastic experience. I went to try on lots of wonderful coats. It was so difficult to choose just one!
I waited a few weeks for my coat to be made, in which time I was kept in touch with progress, and then it arrived.
It is beautiful and I can't wait to wear it.

Everything worked beautifully from booking the appointment (including very helpful instructions as to how to find Shibumi), to being measured and advised on styles and materials right through to the end product which is amazing and fits like a dream! I didn't feel rushed on the day and felt like I was given all the time I needed
