I am writing this to warn others regarding my experience shipping 16 boxes from India to the US with SFL Worldwide. My shipment contained high-value personal items, including designer handbags, perfumes, and expensive traditional attire (sarees/lehengas). Despite paying ₹1,57,000 for air shipping and insurance (Rs 12500 per box), the service was unacceptable.
Timeline of Delays and Lack of Transparency:
Detailed Timeline of Events:
• August 5: Paid in full for air shipping with a guaranteed delivery window of 15–20 days.
• August 25: Only 5 boxes were delivered.
• September 5: Received 1 box after constant follow-ups via WhatsApp and phone calls.
• September 12: Received 4 more boxes (totaling 10). The remaining 6 were missing without explanation.
• October 8: After I repeatedly contacted the agent, I was told the remaining 6 boxes were being held for a "clearance fee" of ₹25,200. Despite all 16 boxes being shipped together, I was forced to pay this extra charge under duress to release my items. I was promised delivery in increments of 2+2+2 within 7–10 working days.
• October 16: 2 boxes were delivered.
• October 24: The remaining 4 boxes failed to arrive as promised.
• November 13: 2 more boxes arrived only after I threatened legal action.
• November 17: The final 2 boxes were finally delivered—nearly three months after the initial payment.
Missing Items and Damage:
Upon inspection, I discovered that multiple branded perfumes, handbags, and expensive jewelry were missing. Other items arrived broken due to poor handling. The total value of the missing and damaged goods is approximately ₹1,15,000.
Misleading Insurance and Poor Redressal:
When I contacted the company for a claim, they refused to take responsibility, citing endless loopholes
1. Valuation: They claimed the itemized list lacked "declared values," despite their staff never requesting values during the onboarding process.
2. Insurance Limitations: They stated the insurance (₹12,500 per box) only covers the loss of an entire box, not the theft or damage of contents within it.
Conclusion:
This company operates with a complete lack of integrity. They utilize hidden charges, provide misleading information regarding insurance coverage, and fail to secure the items entrusted to them.
I strongly advise against using this company for international shipping. They are unreliable and fraud!!!!!

I needed to ship my boxes and TV for a permanent relocation and I shopped around and found SFL shipping, I did get a good price compared to all other companies. Mr punit was extremely patient and helpful and almost always returned my call , there pickup driver Jose was a extremely polite and kept me informed all during the trip for Memphis to Texas. My ETA was 5 to 7 days , my things got to Egypt in 3 days and all my boxes and TV made it safe all with a good price. I will definitely use them again and I highly recommend SFL to anyone who needs shipping. Thank you Mr punit.

15 months elapsed, SFL not yet refunded my $323 which they fraudulently took from me under the threat that unless I paid this Customs charge the goods would be sent to Customs warehouse. They could not produce any invoice from Customs on this money. They took hostage to my invaluable goods from India. Even after payment of hostage money, they didn't release the goods, and I had to take help from USA authorities for getting the goods. Irrespective of a few positive comments from some customers (may be their relations and friends) one should avoid taking their service. Their Indian Agent Multimodal Shipping Chennai is equally unprofessional. I have all the correspondence on this issue.

I was very impressed with the services I got from SFL worldwide. I posted a query on their website about sending documents from the U.S. to India. Mahek got in touch with me over phone the same day, discussed the options and help with arranging the shipment. The documents were delivered on time.
Amazing customer service and delivery through Fedex at a fraction of the price that Fedex would charge.

Initially I was a bit apprehensive. However I was able to have the letter packet delivered exactly as agreed by SFL. I am very satisfied by the service and will continue to use their services in the future.
