THE WORST SERVICE
Really the worst, worst service ever.
They perform maintenance on the servers without notice, causing the service to go offline all together.
I logged into the backend and it showed IP migration, thinking it was an IP failure that prevented me from connecting. Instead, when I clicked on it, it automatically moved to a flexible IP, charged a high fee and canceled the original public IP.
Geez, what kind of design is this? It's a trap.

Des Problèmes Continus de Connectivité FTP et un Service Client Inefficace chez Scaleway
J'ai été cliente de Scaleway pendant un certain temps, et malheureusement, mon expérience a été loin d'être satisfaisante. Voici quelques raisons principales pour lesquelles je ne recommande pas ce fournisseur.
Déconnexion Intempestives sur les FTP: Depuis plus d'un mois, je rencontre des déconnexions fréquentes sur mon serveur FTP. Cela impacte considérablement mon workflow et ma productivité.
Analyse Inefficace des Logs: J'ai envoyé des journaux d'activité complets dans l'espoir de résoudre ces problèmes, mais les réponses que j'ai reçues montrent une compréhension insuffisante de la situation. On me demande par exemple si ces déconnexions surviennent à des heures spécifiques, ce qui indique une incapacité à lire et interpréter correctement les logs que j'ai fournis.
Restrictions de Connectivité Arbitraires: Depuis deux jours, ma connexion est systématiquement fermée à partir de minuit pour ne rouvrir qu'à 7h du matin. Ceci est totalement inacceptable pour quiconque a besoin d'un accès continu à ses ressources.
Délais de Réponse du Service Client: La fréquence de réponse du service client varie entre trois et neuf jours. Lorsqu'une réponse est enfin reçue, elle s'avère souvent inutile ou hors de propos. Par exemple, on me dit que le serveur FTP est accessible en local, ce qui ne résout pas le problème soulevé et démontre un manque de rigueur dans le diagnostic.
Contrat Initial avec Online: À noter que mon contrat initial était avec Online, et non avec Scaleway. Le niveau de service fourni depuis la transition n'est clairement pas à la hauteur de mes attentes initiales.
En raison de ces problèmes persistants et de l'inefficacité du service client, j'ai décidé de migrer vers un autre fournisseur plus fiable. Je ne peux donc pas recommander Scaleway pour des services d'hébergement ou de gestion de serveur FTP.
Je m'attendais à un niveau de professionnalisme et de service beaucoup plus élevé, et c'est avec regret que je dois exprimer mon mécontentement total envers Scaleway.

My server has been terminated without a warning and reasonable proof of the violation. I suffered significant losses. I can’t get my data back from the server. The support has just been ignoring me for 2 weeks

extremly expensive, you can not even remove your credit cards, it feels a perfect environement for ripping of customers, even though they gave me 1000$ credits i was skeptical about the usage of it.

- Incident majeur dans leur DC -> pas de notif
- Discussion avec le support : le résumé "Démerdez-vous pour monitorer vos serveurs vous-même"
Je veux bien être bonne poire. Mais là c'est littéralement se payer ma tête version XXL.
Les mecs ils désactivent une feature qui m'avait en partie fait venir chez eux : Le monitoring proactif (un petit ping régulier sur le serveur et quand il ping plus il me prévient par email). Aucune notification de cette désactivation de feature (sauf dans l'interface sur la page dédiée à cette surveillance précise, l'endroit où on va jamais...), aucun remplacement prévu, je m'en rend compte sur un incident, remonté par les utilisateurs qui n'arrivent plus a joindre le serveur en question.
Toujours sur cet incident, j'apprend dans le ticket que je fais que c'est un incident connu par leurs services qui touche beaucoup de machines d'un même DC. Et donc vous comptez prévenir un jour ou pas ? La déjà c'est trop.
Je demande donc au support, ce qu'ils comptent faire pour ne plus reproduire ces erreurs, la réponse en résumé : "Démerdez-vous pour monitorer vos serveurs par vous-même".
Je note quand même que le support à mis 2 semaines à changer mon serveur qui ne pouvait plus redémarrer pour une raison obscure.
Scaleway, plus JAMAIS.

ça vaut rien c'est de la m****. Pas sympa de voler quelqu'un en le faisant payer un nom de domaine après avoir vérifié son identité, tous les papiers puis ensuite refuser le nom de domaine et quand même faire payer.
Cheap, okay performance, you get what you pay for
I've been using Scaleway on and off over 8 years, they're certainly getting better, but I think they should just stick to what they were good at. Cheap boxes.
Support is slow and generally unhelpful, but you get what you pay for. I use Scaleway for dev projects or things that aren't going to stay around for long. Performance is ... average. Again, you get what you pay for.
Image marketplace could be better IMHO, but it is what it is.
I definitely wouldn't put anything production, business-oriented, or important on the platform.
I've stuck with them because they're cheap and meet my needs if I want something to tinker with

They don't investigate phishing complaints with seriousness
I've been receiving phishing e-mails pretending to be Facebook - I checked the IP in whois which identified it as being an IP 'owned' by scaleway.com - I reported it via a very unhelpful 'reporting portal' only to be told "Good day, Your abuse request has been refused. Reason: the infringed content and/or the domain does not match the reported IP address. Please ensure that, prior to submit your abuse request, the reported IP is both the right one and matching all the infringed URLs and/or the domain. Regards."
Well I copy/pasted the information from the message source data - are they saying that the whole programming of e-mail headers is wrong..?!
A good sustainable, European cloud provider
Last year we migrated part of our infrastructure from AWS to Scaleway. We were a bit hesitant because of all the negative reviews, but decided to give it a try. In the end we had only positive experience with Scaleway. They offer a wide variety of services at a good price. We haven't had any issues with billing. After a few months they contacted us to have a chat about our experience and our needs. Support is always quick, even without a support plan.
Of course, I don't know what happened with the other reviews but if you're interested in a sustainable, European cloud alternative then I'd suggest to just give it a go and decide for yourself.
Don't protect the Internet
Don't protect the Internet, have daily spam from the same IPs and they do nothing. Reported the same scammers many times, have the confirmation mails and the spam just continue. They are useless, a shame for the IT world.
Affordable and stable
We've decided to move some serivces to Cloud to have the ability to scale up or down based on our requirements. After some investigations we decided to give Scaleway a chance despite the negative reviews on this page.
We have a business account and the validation was smooth, we checked all validation types from billing information to phone and identity. We received a call from Scaleway next day after we've created the account so we got everything in place quite fast.
The interface was easy to use and we've been able to quickly create serverless functions in multiple datacenters, db servers and domains immediately without any hassle.
Currently we're pretty much satisfied with them and we would recommend them based on our experience.
Locked for no reason!
I registered, verified my payment, wasted 1.06 euro then verified my phone, email, and I sent them my Driver License.
They said it will be over in two hours, verfication process.. But after wasting my entirely time this was thier last reposne:

I've never used their services,and £2 odd taken was from my bank, and I randomly get an 86p invoice? what the hell are they doing? Support doesn't care at all. I highly recommend people avoid and

Facilitates and enables phishing, fraud, scams and spam. No abuse@ reporting allowed. Web abuse form dubious and gives error messages despite being fully filled. Clearly happy to take money from criminals, thus criminals themselves
Apple silicon - does the job for a great price.
Review is specifically about renting M1 mac, can't say anything about other services.

I needed a MacOS device to test something quickly about my work. That's why I decided to rent it online cuz I need it only for a few hours. Found Scaleway, and got interested in quite cheap prices, currently it's smth like $0.11 per hour to rent M1 Mac.
At first, I was very suspicious about Scaleway, after reading all the 1-star reviews here on Trustpilot. But I didn't want to pay +$60 using other companies, so I took a risk.
I have never rented a remote PC before, so the setup steps with the VNC client, encryption, etc were painful not gonna lie. Spent about an hour just to see Mac login screen. Documentation was a great help. Then my experience was ruined by using VNCViewer, it's super laggy, ping about 2-5 seconds. At first, I thought it was Scaleway's fault, but after a few hours of pain I decided to try TeamViewer instead and oh boi, this was on another level. No lags no issues, it was almost instant. I also checked the speed from Mac to my current location using Speedtest and it was the maximum possible value that their speedo could show lol.
Also, I created a support ticket. I wanted to pay my bills and forget cuz I don't need Mac anymore. Despite I didn't receive an instant reply, the support team is quite friendly and competent, I'm happy with that.

aucun support, j'ai voulu créer une machine virtuelle sur un serveur dedibox debian avec une ip failover.
J'ai d'abord essayé avec une ipv6 mais sans documentation correcte, mission impossible.
J'ai pris une ipv4 mais malgré avoir suivi la documentation présente, ça ne fonctionne pas. Et quand j'ouvre un ticket, on me dit voir documentation. Je propose de prendre la formule payante de support mais là non plus , impossible d'obtenir les instructions précises pour la config que je veux mettre en place. J'ai un autre serveur chez OVH, ou j'ai pu dans problème configurer des machines virtuelles avec des ip failover. Ici, rien à faire! Je vais changer et retourner chez OVH.
