Emergency First Aid at Work

I recently completed an excellent First Aid course that was 5-star in every way.

Our instructor from the Ambulance Service was a fantastic communicator. He used a range of Manikins and realistic simulations to prepare us for real-life emergencies and ensured that everyone was given individual feedback to perfect their technique.

The highlight was using the professional choking vests. Stepping in behind another person to perform the correct Abdominal Thrusts—using the specific fist technique to launch the yellow foam cylinders—was an incredible way to build confidence and so much fun.

We also practiced extensively with a Defibrillator, ensuring our timing and placement were perfect.

The venue was great with easy parking, and the food from McAtamney’s Butchers was absolutely top-class.

I left feeling genuinely 'mastered' in these life-saving skills. I look forward to bringing this expertise to my work with the Portstewart Community Association!

FREC3 training

I undertook a FREC3 training course at Salus Medical and was consistently impressed by the standards delivered. I enjoyed the balance of theory and practical, and the chance to practice with equipment until I was comfortable using it.

First Aid Training

We recently had a group of 16 staff from our work place take part in a First Aid course with Mark & Vicky from Salus Medical, and it was brilliant! Both Mark & Vicky were so friendly, knowledgeable and made the training really engaging. We all came away feeling confident & prepared. I would highly recommend Salus Medical for any training you need.

FREC 3 & 4

I have completed both FREC 3 & 4 with Salus Medical and can’t rate them highly enough. They are passionate about what they do and this is obvious from the moment you walk in the door. Their facilities and training provision are excellent as are the resources and trainers themselves and nothing is too much trouble.

FREC 4 course with Salus Medical Ltd

I completed a FREC 4 course with Salus Medical Ltd in November/December 2024. I found the course content and delivery excellent. The training was led by a fully qualified Paramedic, who had the depth of knowledge and experience necessary to explain, demonstrate and assess all aspects of the course. The staff were friendly and supportive and the facilities and equipment were excellent.
