Great experience for all levels
I've run all my races with run through and very much enjoy all aspects. The event hub, the encouragement, the warm ups, the availability of support. They are always exciting and you feel like it's just for you!

Be aware
Be aware. They send no confirmation or receipt of your entry. I therefore assumed it hadn't gone through so entered again for a race and was then charged twice. They told me they don't do refunds. Very poor systems. Won't be racing with them again.

Our event entries always should always come with an automated receipt once you've signed up, so we can only apologise for this not coming through. Hopefully you have received our customer service response, it seems our system hadn't flagged two entries as two different names/emails were used. I volunteered and never received my race places and kit that I was due. I've emailed many times and no one gets back to me. I know others have had problems too. I used to recommend to my friends and running clubs and have stopped doing so. So disappointed and unfair!

Dreadful experience from start to finish… wrong prices on website, additional parking paid for which didn’t exist, and wrong start times shown on RunThrough emails/ event website.

I made a special trip for a weekend in Chapstow which initiated running the Chapstow Racecourse 10k and glad I did. It was a fab event and well organised and a challenging route, ideal for running training. I highly recommend this event.

Very poor customer service
Company changed dates of the event. Took me over 7+ emails to gets a refund on my event, despite making it extremely clear on the first time that I did not want any other options.
Customer service lack the ability to read and address concerns appropriately, they just have a default script that they have to use.
Dissatisfied.

Newcastle (Quayside ) 10k
Just completed the Newcastle 10k (Quayside - 17.01.26). Excellent. Would recommend. Route & marshals clearly marked, bag drop easy, covered, manned all the time and secure. Loads and loads of port-a-loos. Great atmosphere and great bit of bling at the end.

Well Organised Event
Clear comms and well organised on the day. Staff and volunteers were friendly and encouraging. Just felt that there should be group/family deals particularly as I'm introducing the kids to running, otherwise an expensive outing compared with other activities.

I just want to assure you that all of our races have been professionally measured and granted a certificate for each of our distances, which can be available upon request.
With a lot of our parks/venues, runners really struggle with GPS due to the high rises and tall trees. This tends to cause issues with the overall distance on the watch once completed and will be an issue amongst others too.
Battersea park and Tatton Park are the worst locations for GPS so this will show up on your overall result. If you ran one of these events, do know that these will be measured appropriately prior to event day.

On the whole the races are well…
On the whole the races are well organised and run smoothly apart from if you are doing the half marathon the first few laps are good and then it gets very busy when they start the 10k and 5k so very difficult to get past the slower runners and very congested

I have been taking part in many various RunThrough events over the past years. Countless 10Ks as well as a good number of half marathon and trail run events. I always enjoy it, the atmosphere is very welcoming and the events are well organised. I could not recommend them any more. The cost is very affordable and is a good value for money. I like medals as well.

Goodwood Marathon
Went to the Newbury 5k in August and Goodwood Marathon in December. Overall, well organised events. In particular the Goodwood event with all the different distances. Great aid station with gels.
Runners completed an out and back section before running the required number of loops round the racetrack with the longer distances starting earlier and the 5k last.
One complaint would be the number of toilets available, queues started to form and when you have an event with this many people you need to prepare accordingly. There were also no portaloos around the racetrack, something that has been suggested previously in other reviews.

Aintree Half Marathon experience
Ran the Aintree Half Marathon and despite the weather thoroughly enjoyed the event. Registration and packet pick up were fuss free, a great pre run warm up followed by the run with marshals give no encouragement made it all the more enjoyable. I lost my medal after but the team have said they’ll send me another free of charge. Great service and I’ll definitely be signing up for more events !
