Bought the "unbreakable" hose in February 2026. By July 2026 it had sprung 2 leaks. I contacted customer service who reminded me it was a 90day warranty. I said it was not fit for purpose as it is breakable even though advertised as unbreakable. They contacted me saying sorry it is out of warranty. Going to contact fair trading for misleading advertising.

Disgusting , poor quality products
No contact phone number
Tried to get out of giving me full refund.
Customer service felt like a AI was replying to my emails.
Not much Australian that I could find.

I purchased a unit for my car and it is faulty. They advertise 30 day free return but they do not respond to emails. I definitely would not reccomend this company.

We bought this hose which is clearly advertised as “UNBREAKABLE” for our elderly mother and within 5 months it had split in 3 places.
Dealing with them is difficult and they refused a refund or replacement as it was outside of the 90 day period. Definitely DO NOT buy this product! Very poor product.

I would give zero stars if possible. Dont waste your time & money on these cheap inferior quality items. Were faulty from the start, requested a refund, but they delayed continually. I returned items, & they claimed they hadn't received them, even though it was confirmed as received 2 weeks prior. My bank chased up refund. Its a scam. Do yourself a favour & go to a bricks & mortar shop & see what youre getting

I bought an “unbreakable” hose from this company in late December 2025. It was used less than once a week before it split and was unusable in June 2026 (less than 6 months). I contacted the company to be told that it was outside of its 90 day warranty period. This product is falsely advertised as “unbreakable”. I have referred this matter to the ACCC. The company should be fined for false advertising and failing to proved a refund or replacement on a faulty product.

Product started leaking within a couple of months of purchase and then eventually started leaking in the middle of the hose. Quality of product was not good and their after sales service, whilst they responded, was without resolution. As far as they are concerned once you go past their 90day warranty they don't want to know about you. Strongly recommend you stay away from this company and their products.

If i could give less than 1 star i would. This product is absolute rubbish. Unbreakable and UV tested for up to 10 years????? I've had it for 6 months and it's split. And now, "it's outside the 90 days warranty".

Finally received a full refund, only after contacting Fair Trading, and sending them all the info I had sent this dodgy company. If you're not getting a refund for their shoddy product, please, get in touch with Fair Trading. Consumer law states that a product MUST be fair and reasonable quality, and their crappt "warranty" they offer, is pretty much illegal.

I purchased Better Gardens' "Unbreakable" Expandable Hose in February 2026. After only approximately 3.5 months of normal household use, the hose developed a hole and became unusable.

What makes this particularly disappointing is that the product is marketed as "unbreakable." A reasonable consumer would expect a product advertised in this way to last significantly longer than a few months. In my case, the hose failed after a very short period of ordinary use.

I contacted Better Gardens and provided video evidence of the fault. At no stage was it suggested that the hose had been misused. Instead, the company repeatedly relied on its 90-day warranty period and ultimately refused both a replacement and a refund, classifying the failure as "normal wear and tear."

My concern is not simply the product failure itself, but the company's handling of the issue. When I raised Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees regarding acceptable quality, durability, and fitness for purpose, Better Gardens continued to rely on its warranty policy rather than addressing whether a hose marketed as "unbreakable" should reasonably fail after only 3.5 months.

The final response from management was that because the product was outside their 90-day warranty period, they would not provide any remedy and that the decision was final.

Consumers should be aware that if this product fails shortly after the warranty period expires, Better Gardens may decline assistance regardless of how the product was marketed or how long it lasted.

Based on both the product quality and the after-sales support I received, I would not purchase from Better Gardens again.

Better gardens Australia unbreakable hose is a poorly made product which offers only a 30day money back even if the product has a distinct fault. Reviews on the website inform of many happy customers but this is a joke if you check out the reviews on here

Better Gardens Australia is a shonky company. Not sure why it hasn’t been shut down. Almost all the reviews are negative. I stupidly bought some expandable garden hoses advertised on Facebook. Needless to say I should have read the reviews beforehand because the quality is terrible and they have holes in them after 3 months of use.

BUYERS BEWARE Brought a chainsaw , cheap quality and impossible to put together. Still waiting for refund its not an easy process with this company.\Worst company i have ever dealt with.

Asked for a refund for my hoses due to inferior quality, the day I received them. Despite having a 14 day return policy with full refund, they offered me half price but will not refund my full money and are now ignoring my requests.

Purchased an Unbreakable hose which broke after the first use. Hose was replaced and this time lasted around 2 weeks, so much for unbreakable. Asked for a refund as per there advertising but was refused as it was only a 30 day return??.

Geezus.... just used my hose for the first time, what a disappointment... and to be honest, if I'd read any of the reviews on here, I wouldn't have bought it. I live in a townhouse complex, and I have concrete paths around the perimeter, this bloody hose snags on the concrete so much so that it can't be dragged around my garden . I have to go back, gather it up and move forward again. And because it snags so badly, it can't retract as it should. Big waste of time and I'm guessing I won't be getting a response to my email regarding these matters. Rubbish bin it is and then off to Bunnings to get a real hose. DO NOT BUY THIS HOSE.

Bought two of the hoses. I would’ve thought using an Australian based company that the hose fittings that came with the hose would fit an Australian tap. The connections that come are marked as either US or European. When I messaged them about this I received a reply stating that you could buy a connector from your hardware store. Why sell hoses with connections that won’t work without having to buy extra things. I’ve now googled and US and European tap fittings are not compatible with our taps. I haven’t even tried the hoses yet but already wish I hadn’t made the purchase. Very disappointing.

Do not purchase the 30m unbreakable hose. It split after 6 months and they only regurgitated their fantastic 14 day guarantee. Seriously, I should have read the fine print and the reviews. Do not buy anything from this store.

Do not purchase this Hose they are waste of money. 14 days warranty is all you get.
I got 4 months use which for a garden hose is unreasonable.

I purchased two 30 meter unbreakable hoses from Better Gardens.
The hoses lasted 4 months and split they were not used everyday and were under cover.
Inside the cloth coil is flimsy plastic which does dose not live up to the marketing on Better gardens site as being unbreakable.

one of the hoses had a split and they refuse to replace or refund the value. It was outside their 14day returns policy and I had not used the hose previously. They will not honour The Australian Consumer Law. I have sent to the Office of fair trading and will see how I go. I would like to warn others.

I purchased two expandable hoses on 12th January ‘26. Hoses arrived. I was charged $109.98. The price on the site was $30 each !!
Two weeks in and one hose has sprung a leak in two places, rendering it useless. These hoses are of very poor quality and I feel totally ripped off and deceived with both cost and quality. Waste of money.
