Exposure to the nature in rome in addition to the historical facts about the ancient engineering

Perfect way to get out of the bustling city into the countryside. Riding along the aqueduct was beautiful and a highlight. Also the visit to the catacomb was very interesting. Felt safe at all times with our knowledgeable guide on how to manage the bikes and terrain. Also a great historian pointing out points of interest along the way.

Paolo was a great guide! Very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour is top notch. Highly recommended if you want to explore Rome, learn a lot about Roman empire history and great local recommendations without swearing a drop.

This is a really easy company to find, close to the colosseum, with plenty of room to try bikes and get sorted before the trip. We had two children 5 & 7 with us, and they were well accommodated on our tour with Alex. He was a kind hearted and a knowledgable guide, passing on knowledge throughout the tour and dealt brilliantly with the many questions from the kids and adults. Throughout the tour I felt in safe hands, with Alex stopping to explain change in terrain or traffic before they occurred. Getting out of the city and away from the crowds was a joy, with the Appian Way being a highlight of our trip to Rome.

Syklene må vi heller ikkje glemme. Dei var kjempe solide, praktiske og veldig gode til å sykle på.
Vi følte oss godt ivaretatt fra første stund vi kom inn i Roma starbike sine lokaler.

We had a wonderful time on this tour - we are a family of 5, kids aged 10, 12 and 15. None of us had ridden e-bikes before, but the staff were great at making sure everyone knew what to do, and that we all felt comfortable. Alex was a great tour guide! Made sure everyone was able to enjoy the tour, with lots of interest and lots of fun. Great meal on the way. Our favorite part was the Aqueduct park and back through the meadow. We are so glad we did this tour, and would do it again!

We booked a group sunset e-bike tour, but It must have been our lucky day because it was just myself and my fiancée alongside our amazing guide Paulo, his enthusiasm and love for his city combined with incredible knowledge of the rich history made for an exceptional evening!

It was relaxed, insightful and just simply breathtaking.

We had a great day with Roma Starbike! Our guide brought a fun energy and it was great to be taken to many amazing spots! It was a small groups (8 ppl). Highlight was the aqueducts - incredible. My husband and I are both quite active and fit in our 30s and found the riding itself reasonably challenging but not overly so. In terms of what to expect... we started heading out to the city and then along the Appian way. It was fascinating to ride along a path with so much history. You quickly feel that you're in the countryside which was a welcome break from the busy tourist sites of Rome. At times the road was a bit bumpy but that was all part of the fun. After spending some time along the via appia antica we explored the catacombes. This tour was run by the catacombes operators and went for about 45 minutes, we were in a large group but the guide was friendly and knowledge. It was Sunday so we glimpsed locals attending mass in the catacombes which was interesting. For lunch we stopped at a country club/gym/tennis/pool complex and we're served bruschetta and pasta (melanze e salsicce). It was a nice meal but not huge. After lunch we road around the aquadutct park, which was extremely cool to see. We didn't stop for much detailed history but our guide provided enough context/information to add value to the experience. We then continued our ride back to the city through some parklands, the biking at this point was a bit more technically difficult with narrow dirt paths that go up and down - quite fun! All in all a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend for active travellers who enjoy history, nature and getting out of the city for a day. Thanks Roma Starbike !

We did this in October 2025 and it was so fun. Lorenzo was an amazing guide. Many of us had never used an e-bike before and he explained it very well. The first bit of the ride starts in Rome but it’s mostly quiet alleyways and side streets and then you are in quiet parks. A nice change of pace from walking the busy streets of Rome.

We had an amazing experience on this electric bike tour through Rome! At first, we were a bit hesitant about biking in the city center, but the route was very well planned — we mostly rode in bike lanes, quiet streets, and beautiful parks. We crossed main roads using pedestrian crossings, so we always felt safe and comfortable.
Our guide, Iman, was absolutely fantastic. Not only did he share fascinating stories and historical insights at different stops, but he also made sure we felt safe throughout the ride. He was very attentive, even signaling to cars to be cautious as we passed, which made a big difference and helped us feel more confident on the road.
What made the tour really special was the chance to explore a side of Rome that’s less touristy — peaceful, scenic, and full of charm. It ended up being just the two of us on the tour, and we truly appreciated that it wasn’t cancelled. During the break, we had a great conversation with Iman, which made the experience even more personal and enjoyable.
We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking to see a different, more local side of Rome in a fun, relaxed, and informative way.

We had a long day finally getting to Rome at 5pm due to a rail strike and protests. Our tour was to start at 6pm and when we arrived i told Edward we had not eaten since breakfast. He said is pizza ok? And within 10 mins we enjoyed a great pizza(he wouldn’t let us pay) and for the next 3 hours had a fantastic nighttime tour of Rome. Iman was so knowledgeable and friendly (majored in Classic Roman History) I found myself repeating facts to others he had told us that we would have never known otherwise. I’d highly recommend this tour as well as the incredible staff.

The bike tour in Rome was fantastic! The bicycles were in excellent condition, making the ride smooth and enjoyable. Our guide shared fascinating stories and insights about the city, which made the experience truly special. Definitely worth the money – highly recommended!

Our guide, Alex, was awesome! We ended up having a ‘private’ tour with just the 4 in our group. Alex made it so informative while also making it fun. It far exceeded our expectations as we tested our biking skills and had a once in a lifetime experience.
