We enjoyed having Ava as our guide. The ride on the Appian Way while a little bumpy at times, was so filled with history that you barely noticed. Riding through the beautiful park surrounded by Roman aqueducts made for an enjoyable four hours.

Ava was a great tour guide and directed us safely through the busy streets of Rome. She had lots of interesting information to provide for the sites we visited, and made the whole experience really fun!

Our family recently took the Appian Way/Catacombs e-bike tour with Roma Star Bike. Our guide was Ava. We had a wonderful day. We were the only four people on the tour, as tourist season was winding down. So, it became a private tour for our family. The tour was a lot of fun and also educational. Ava was a very personable and informative guide. She felt more like a friend, rather than just a guide, by the end of the day. We visited the Catacombs, rode along the Apppian Way, had lunch, and rode through the aqueduct park before returning to the bike shop, next to the Colosseum. The ride involves a variety of terrain: city streets, ancient cobblestone roads, dirt roads and smooth paved roads. With the high quality e-bikes they provide, you can cruise through all of it with confidence. It was a great day and we would definitely tour with this company again.

Directions to the take-off point were clear and most helpful. The bicycle was a delight to use. All staff members were kind and gracious. The guide, Lorenzo, was knowledgeable, eloquent, conscientious and kind. He was graciously personable and easy-going, but always focused on his task and responsibilities. During our five hour ride he shared a great deal about his of interesting facts and fascinating stories. As a seventy-eight year old who hadn't ridden a bike for two years, I appreciated him regularly looking back to check that everyone was alright. Lorenzo would make an excellent school teacher or university professor. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Paulo our tour guide was incredible!!! He had endless patience, made sure everyone was on track and did a great job explaining everything! He's a great photographer too! The views where stunning and the route was great, at least 4 different landscapes through the tour. We got pouches to keep some stuff with us, and we got to see a big part of rome we would never have seen without him!!! Don't think twice about taking his tour! You won't regret it!!

Our guide, Chris, was very personable, knowledgeable, and kind. My son and I were very pleased with the tour and saw parts of Rome that we had not seen before!

It was a great day. The bike's work well, the guide was amazing. Just a beautiful way to experience the city.

We had such a wonderful experience with Chris at Roma Starbike. He was an exceptional guide, knowledgeable, patient, and so attentive to everyone’s needs. Our group was very dynamic, with different levels of experience and interests, and he handled it with care and enthusiasm. We were the only family in the group with children, and Chris went out of his way to make the tour fun and engaging for them. They absolutely loved it!
We also chose the package with lunch, which was a fantastic addition to an already amazing day. Everything was well-organized and thoughtfully planned. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome, especially families.

We had such a fun day! 11/1/2025 we had a group of 5 adults and our tour guide Chris! We rode e bikes along the Apian / ancient aqueduct. Ages 22-54. Moderate activity level. Highly recommend. Chris was awesome and so informative! If you are bike shy you might find this slightly difficult as you ride with some traffic! We are still talking about all the fun we had today! Absolutely great way to see some of Rome.

This was the best thing we did in our week long holiday in Rome: the appian way tour with lunch and the catacombs on e-bikes. It was a really fun way of enjoying the surroundings of the city, with history stories told in a compelling and human way by our guide Alex. He was funny, personable, and capable with clear instructions and directions to help keep everyone feeling safe on the e-bikes.

This was an amazing way to see some of the parks around Rome! Our guide, Alex, was so friendly and knowledgeable, making the day very enjoyable!

Alex was an excellent guide, beautiful sights and history. Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable about the history and took time to explain all of the areas we rode through.

What made it great? The bikes were in great condition, quick service upon arrival, confirmation the day before, and our guide was AMAZING! Alex was a wealth of information. I felt safe under his guidance, …and he was FUN!
