The item is too heavy and cannot support itself properly on its own legs - this is before anything was stored in it. I contacted R&M Furnishers to make them aware but received no answer. A reply came from a number attributed to a plumber and this was my sole point of contact going forward. I was called a liar, told I would be liable for return postage and generally treated in a rude and unprofessional manner. The man on the phone didn't ask for any proof, his responses were aggressive and he wouldn't confirm his return policy. I advised that the furniture was not fit for purpose, was unsteady on its own feet and not as described. He insisted that I would be liable for return costs. This toing and froing carried on and he suggested I attach some leg mounts that he would send me from Amazon. This piece of furniture that already needed fixing had been in my possession for 4 days and I had highlighted the issue to them within 7 days as per their policy. Unexpectedly he texted me saying tell me when it is boxed up and I will collect it. The shop is in Yorkshire, I live in North Wales, I asked who would be picking it up and when I could expect a refund - no answer. I again asked when I could expect a refund, he said box it up and I will pick it up. His refusal to confirm the refund policy, lack of consistency or productive communication and general attitude made me very uneasy that I would see my money again. I agreed to the leg mounts, he said they would be delivered the following Monday, they weren't, they came later in the week. I attached the leg mounts and then went on a 3 week holiday. We have been home just over a week, I woke up this morning and found one of the legs has snapped off, not fixable. To be clear, this is a £195 piece of furniture that is unusable less than 2 months after I took ownership of it. It was bought (and advertised as) a blanket box but was unable to use it as such. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!

We were looking for something that is not a cheap import from Asia. We got an impression that we had found some decent furniture for a reasonable price.

When it arrived, it certainly *felt* like a cheap import from Asia. We didn't like it at all, poor materials, poor finish, poor design.

When we decided to return it, I got no reply from customer service. I tried chat and got a rude reply like "the address is on the shipping label". It was there and I was just lucky I still had it. I sent it back, spent £75 on postage. It was delivered to them and I never got refund. No replies to my e-mails. In the end, I got my bank involved and got my money back.

Fun fact - on the other side of the shipping label, which was printed on used paper, was *Chinese* text. How only did it get there...?

Bought a 5ft Ottoman box. Easy to choose from website. Swatches sent through rapidly with a very quick email confirmation from from their customer service team to give confidence that they were on their way. This enabled us to choose quickly and confidently. Product was delivered in the time window indicated at order time. Nice looking product, looks smart in the bedroom, images on the website are good representations of the actual product. It seems reasonably robust, with solid wood base/frame and 4 hinges on lid. Nice finish on the inside as well as the outside. There was one very minor dent in the front edge of the lid and the internal screws from the lid supports were sticking out a bit which may snag on sheets etc stored in box, but we can cover these with tape to avoid problems. These very minor things are tolerable for us considering the price point and the time from order to delivery. A perfectionist may not have been happy.

Delivery on time. The storage bench arrived in excellent condition and assembled.

The storage bench looks great and very sturdy. Communication over delivery could've been better. We were luckily in when the drivers arrived but an email would have been useful

I was meant to get bed Wednesday-Thursday called no response finally told not until weekend no confirmation.
Then waited in all weekend for bed to arrive late Sunday 4pm with no slats for mattress so bed could not be built refused bed and I have had no reply or update !!!
