Fantastic trip

We had an excellent experience with Ritz tours to China. Tourist interest in China appeared to be down. Despite picking a popular time (Sept.) to travel in China there were only four guests for the entire 16 day package. Despite this, Ritz never considered canceling and provided an individual guide for the four of us for the entire tour. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly and fluent in English. Our small group size allowed easier and more efficient travel. There was no waiting for tickets or transportation. The guides took care of everything including helping us to check in at each airport. The hotel accommodations were very good and in two instances absolutely luxurious. Food was very good and in the case of the hotel buffets very bountiful and full of variety. During free time the recommendations of our guides helped us to find local shopping venues,public parks, restaurants and even successful navigation of the Beijing metro. Among many highlights, the Li River cruise, terra cotta soldiers, Great wall and Shanghai acrobats were standouts.
Our daughters toured with Ritz 12 years ago and had a similarly fantastic time. It's good to see that they are still doing a fine job.

Tour to China

1. On Beijing I was very dissapointed because the lady didn't tell us to bring the umbrella, and everything was outdoor and was very hot. The others from Xian and Shanghai advertise us to bring umbrella.
2. I didn't like the food at lunch, was very cheap and selected by the tour guide.
3. I didn't like that we spent to much time at the jade and silk markets.

We are sorry to hear that your recent tour to China did not entirely live up to your expectations.

We apologize that the tour guide in Beijing did not provide the suggestion to bring an umbrella on tour, like the other guides in Xian and Shanghai did. We hope the lack of an umbrella did not have too much of an impact on that day of touring.

We are also sorry the cuisine didn’t match your expectations, but we really appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention. We will use your feedback to create an even better experience next time.

We always aim to provide a fulfilling experience, our goal is to pick the best excursions possible during your trip. Based on your itinerary the tour of the jade and silk markets are not included in the tour, so we investigated the matter. We were informed that the tour guide asked the group if they would like to visit the jade and silk markets; the tour guide received no objections so proceeded to take the group there. We are sorry if this visit to the jade and silk markets did not meet your expectations.

Ritz tours has China down

Ritz tours has China down. If you are thinking of traveling to the Far East, Ritz tours is the one. The hotels are all 4 and 5 stars, the buses are new and clean, the guide ( Ocean) was tremendous. With that being said there are a few caveats. 1 all the rooms have twin beds. So if you want to sleep with your loved one. You will have to negotiate up front for bigger beds. 2 the “cruise” ship we were on (Victoria Jenna) was old and cramped. Once again you need to upgrade to a bigger room. The food on the ship was average at best. 3 China frowns on drinking so getting your favorite libation will be a struggle. Lastly, China doesn’t like the internet. There is no Goggle and WiFi is only good at the big hotels.

I traveled with Ritz tour 2x already. 1st in Europe our tour guide is Steven & 2nd in China tour guide is Jenny I’m giving them both Outstanding Job their friendly nice well prepared. I’m planning my 3rd to Ritz tour again . I enjoyed their tour excellent.

Not up to Ritz Tours standards

Hotel in Tokyo was the only one meeting Ritz Tours standards, but not hotels in Kyoto and Osaka situated next to railroad stations, overcrowded and below *** rating.
The only purpose of the tour guide was to be on schedule with transportation - he rushed through the shrines and temples without giving a chance to read the posted information and observe ancient treasures - to be at the train station hour before departure.
He was continiously distributing handouts describing routes and places we were supposed to visit, but did not provide any narrative during the site visits as he was running ahead with the Ritz Tours flag.
Various multi-course lunches and dinners included were very interesting, but not educational as our tour guide failed again to give an introduction to the different food that was offered and the way it supposed to be consumed.

We sincerely apologize that some of the hotels did not live up to your expectations. We assure you this isn’t a typical situation. Most of our travelers are pleasantly surprised by the quality of their tours and accommodations. Regarding the hotel locations, we selected these hotels (Kyoto New Miyako and Osaka Granvia) for their quality, service and their central location. They are located close to department stores, restaurants and shops, as we have found that our guests like to stay in the heart of the city. As you mentioned they are located next to the rail stations which are crowded at times, however these are bustling cities and we have found that our guests take this in stride as part of a new cultural experience.

Concerning the rushed pace of your tour guide, we are sorry if it was not explained why the pace of your tour felt rushed. We requested a report on this matter and were informed that unfortunately there were typhoon warnings. The tour guide and local agents were in contact every hour in order to ensure the safety of all travelers while visiting sites and transferring from destination to destination. Once again, we are sorry that this adversely affected your overall trip.

We apologize that the tour guide did not provide an enriching and enjoyable tour. It’s important to us that our tour guides are professional and passionate about providing a quality experience. Please be assured that we are not taking this lightly, and we have relayed your feedback to the management team of our partners in Japan to ensure that this is addressed and corrected for future tours.

The tour was excellent

The tour was excellent. Our tour guide Natalie Wild was very professional and responsible. She took great care to make sure everyone was safe and had a great time. We hope you will continue to offer english speaking tours. We would like to book with you in the future. Again, the trip was wonderful and left us with great memories. Thank You very much.

Zarina was very helpful

Zarina was very helpful . She help us all the way with all my questions. The tour guides were all very knowledgeable and very nice. But the best one was Lily who tour us to Xiamen. Very thoughtful and polite and friendly. Me and my husband overall enjoyed the tour. We will be back again to join other tour. Thank you.

The tour was excellent .

The tour was excellent .
The only issue I had was the person who was supposed to pick me up at the airport did not show up. I had to pay for a taxi and pay 243 kuna.
This was the pick up on arrival to Croatia.
Otherwise I would have rated all 5 stars.

Highly recommend ritz tours

Our family had an excellent experience with ritz tours! Someone was always available to answer my questions. Our hotels, tour guides, travel accommodations were all excellent! Our Beijing tour guide even went out of his way and overnighted my sweater that I had forgotten in the van to our tour guide in Shanghai without me even asking. I was so grateful to Gary for going above and beyond. I highly recommend ritz tours. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because 3 of the hotels asked for my credit card as a deposit and ritz failed to inform me of that.

Fantastic Tour in China

We enjoyed our tour in China. Local tour guide picked us up at each airport when we arrived. They are all friendly, and speak English well. We visited a lot of places. Breakfast buffet included every day. Lunch, dinner. No worry if you might get hungry. We will join Ritz Tours again in the future.

The country tour was very good

The country tour was very good. The guide was very knowledgeable, very friendly, helpful, and amazing. My only problem was the flights. We had a lay over in Hong Kong going to Japan which for me doesn't make sense. We pass Japan going to Hong Kong. Then coming back to USA a lay over at Taipei. The lay overs make the flights very long. Why not going direct flight. That's my only concern in our tour. That's the reason why I am giving 3 stars only

We are happy to hear that you truly enjoyed this tour and the guide for it. We do see that you are unhappy about the flights and the layovers in both Hong Kong and in Taipei. Please let us explain this situation.

We always aim to provide the lowest airfare for our customers, which at the time was through Eva Air with one layover stop. We are sorry that we were not aware of your desire to have a direct flight, for if we had known we would have provided that option. But, we do inform all travelers and travel agents that there are no guarantees of a direct flight prior to booking.

The reason for the flight change prior to departure was due to the cabin crew strike at Eva Air. Eva Air endorsed a new flight through Cathay Pacific Airways with one layover stop in Hong Kong. The reason why your return flight though had a layover in Taipei was because we were able to still operate that original booked return flight.

We do sincerely apologize that these incidences negatively affected your travel experience, but are happy that overall you enjoyed yourself.

The trip was wonderful

The trip was wonderful. It was wonderfully managed by the greatest guides ever: Leo in Beijing and Jenny, who was with us the whole time.
These two people deserve a huge recognition for how hard they work, how much they care, and how well they can deal with people and help them.
It was just amazing.

Lillian Li was excellent from the very…

Lillian Li was excellent from the very first time I spoke with her.
She is very good in listening to my needs and making changes when I requested them.
Our tour guide at Singapore Andrew Ong was the Best tour guide we have ever had. He was very knowledgable of Singapore and it's history. Since we enjoyed the movie Crazy Rich Asian, Lillian Li of RitzTours must have arranged this guide especially for us. He took us to a lot of the scene and locations where the movie was taken. Mr. Ong has a awesome personality and spoke English and Cantonese fluently.
In our opinion the Hotel Copthorne Kings Hotel was not 4 stars hotel.
The house cleaning in the rooms were not up to par and were dirty.
The bath rooms arrangement wasn't set up properly, where as the bath tub were too high and dangerous to get in and out. There was a lip from the hall way into the bathroom which was also dangerous which stood out and easily can be trip on. In my opinion I would give this hotel a 2-1/2 stars.
The hotel in Hong Kong, Intercontinental Grand Stanford was excellent, I can say it is a 4 stars hotel. Their daily breakfast were a excellent treat each morning.
We will definitely use Ritz Tours again in our future travels.

Gems of Europe

We joined the Gem of Europe in early June 2019. Weather was comfortable with light drizzle but that's much better than the hot sun and 90 degree weather. We did experience heat on later part of trip in Italy. Natalie, tour guide, took good care of us. The only suggestion is she needs to make seat rotation clearer. Fortunately nobody in our group of 40 ppl complained. We been in tours where ppl fight over that. Overall it was a fast pace tour and the days went so fast that we forgot what we saw sometimes. But we still went to everywhere the itinerary promised.

Our tour to China was outstanding

Our tour to China was outstanding. Each one of our local guides were great and Jenny our dedicated guide was phenomenal. She managed our group well, balancing individual needs while carrying out the groups well planned itinerary. She added so much value to the trip with her knowledge and her extraordinary efforts were evident daily. I would definitely recommend the tour and would suggest that you request Jenny as your dedicated guide. Family 5 appreciated all of Jenny's extra effort.

BeIjing/Xian Yang/Shanghai China Tour 6/11/19 to 6/21/19

Our recent trip to China was a big success. Jenny our guide delivered an incredible experience for our group. Jenny was great at providing rich information about the history, and culture of the China and its people. Jenny kept us on a brisk pace making sure we were able to visit the top historically and iconic sites in China. She made sure our meals were ready and ample for our group. I personally loved the variety of dishes served by the local restaurants. Accommodations were above average in general. Jenny’s professionalism and grace really made a difference in bringing our trip together from start to finish. I feel like I better understand the DNA of China after taking this hosted Ritz tour.
Leo our secondary guide in Beijing was as advertised a walking encyclopedia or rather google search engine. He had a great personality and knew his history facts.
Hats off to Both Jenny and Leo, Keep up the great work!!!
