Excellent communication, great products. Everything went like clockwork. This was the second time I have used Richards Guitars and will definitely be using them again.

OK first off let me say that Rguitars sent me a beautiful Eastman AC330 12 string acoustic guitar for a really good price and that I would certainly deal with them again if purchasing another guitar.

So why not the full 5 stars? Well, my feeling is, that when looking at and considering a guitar from Rguitars, you get a lot of love, time and passion, especially from Richard, in terms of his time, his advice and customer care..

However, when you've parted with your cash, you can be left to feel like the love affair has cooled a little. In my case, before the purchase I was told that four of the guitars were due in the following week. So I'm thinking, great, allowing for it being set up etc. I might get it in two weeks and at a pinch within one.

It arrived four weeks later. This wasn't a big deal, but it would have been nice just to have some updates on the status update page (which remained empty), even to say things were being held up because they were busy (or to do with the shop move which I know was under way at the time). I did get one update to say that Richard would be personally testing the guitar but this was over three weeks after the order.

When the guitar did finally arrive, it didn't come with anything other than a certificate of authenticity from Eastman, nothing from Rguitars themselves like a note to say thanks and hope you like the guitar, give us a call if there is a problem etc. It's not a big deal but I think it feels nice to have a bit of a personal touch rather than this anonymous cardboard box turning up.

I kind of had a similar experience with a guitar strap ordered from Rguitars a little later that simply came in a felt pen written envelope with nothing else - it felt a bit thrown together.

Additionally I discovered my guitar came not with a Fishman Matrix pickup (as advertised) but with an LR Baggs Element VTC. Now, I understand fully that Rguitars may not have known about this (though one would think the absence of the Fishman logo would have shown up in their inspection) and in any case I'm not complaining as it sounds great, but it would have been nice to have been alerted about this change in spec in advance in case it was an important factor in my purchase.

I understand that Rguitars isn't a huge outfit with heaps of staff and was undergoing a change of premises so I'll take that in mitigation and ultimately I'm very happy with my purchase, but I'm saying these things as I'd like to see this great little supplier do and be even better than they are.

Addendum - 16/3/20:

Thanks Rguitars for your reply - I think it speaks volumes when a company replies to feedback good or bad, so +1 to you for that. I know I personally have been swayed by even one star reviews when I see that the company has taken time to address or follow-up on that review.

I have literally just opened up my new Furch blue cmc and I couldn't be happier!! First off thanks to richard and his team for the great communication and advice . I opened up the box and to my surprise my new baby was in a case which I didn't expect ( that was a lovley touch thanks guys ) The setup is second to none. I have recently started being able to play barre chords and they are so easy now up and down the neck . The guitar itself is a thing of beauty and it plays wonderful , if you hit just one string it rings out and resonates forever . I am over the moon richard told me on the phone the guitar I had previously would be like a toy in comparison and he was so right ! I wont mention what guitar I had before but it was 500 quids worth and this thing smashes it out of the park . Thanks again one happy customer.

Top marks to Richard and his team the guitar (Faith Naked Venus) is superb for the money is set up spot on and arrived very well packaged. Took 21 days to arrive from order but not a problem for me as I wanted it right not quick and it certainly is. Very pleased I found RH and will be dropping my Strat in for a set up when I can actually get over there during opening times.

Richards Guitars are my go-to on-line retailer for a boutique experience at affordable prices. Richard is a player at heart and tells it as it is in his videos (sometimes to his cost!) - but I really appreciate his "cut the cr*p" style. The service from Richards Guitars in my experience has always been second to none, with updates at every stage. I just wish they were my local guitar shop so that I could visit them and try out all of the exciting range he offers.

Ordered a Faith Earth guitar from Richard. This must be the best acoustic guitar I ever played and looks stunning! The setup is perfect, the string height is super low as I asked - really effortless to play. I definitely know where I'm going to order my next guitar! It was also a nice surprise to find a Kyser humidifier from the case. Greets from Finland!

I did a considerable amount of research prior to purchasing my Furch Yellow GCRC with a Fishman Pickup. The wait was worth it as the the guitar is simply awesome. It is simply the best acoustic guitar I have played in nearly 50 years! The set up was perfect - the action was just right and the customer service second to none - I cannot recommend the ever helpful team at Richard's Guitars enough.
As I live nearly 200 miles away I had it delivered and have already used it to record some new tracks.

Easy to use web site for ordering, exactly as described and swiftly sent. Not had chance to try it out yet but should be straightforward looking at your YouTube video.

My husband is very happy with the guitar despite the delay in delivery which we appreciate was due to your move. Beautiful set up guitar. I recommend Richards guitars highly as they really care about their products.

Hi i actually got my new guitar from the guitar show on the Eastman stand.The guy who sold it to me was from Richards guitars. He was very helpful and love the guitar.

I ordered an Eastman ac722ce and ended up receiving the ‘prototype’ 2020 model with soundport and new inlays that’s featured in Richard’s recent video. It’s absolutely superb and has had a lot of play already. Communication with the team has been excellent and the guitar arrived in great shape with no flaws or setup issues. Will buy from Richard again.

Service once you’re through the service is great BUT getting through on email or the “Chat” function is very difficult! Once you’ve established connection the service is fantastic! You also have to realise that Richards is not a normal guitar shop where you go in, try a few guitars, make your decision, pay and walk out with your new guitar. Richard and Jon help you to decide what suites you and your needs and then you place the order. Including set up to your tastes that takes about a fortnight. Different but in many ways better

I watched Richards YouTube video about using loop pedals as a practice tool, and as a long time acoustic guitarist who plateaued a while back I thought I’d give the jam pal a whirl with my little Squier and Katana mini and well blow me, within 2 days I’m suddenly playing 20min blues solos over a travelling wilburys 12 bar riff. As ever, great advice and great service from Richards Guitars, and the jam pal is a brilliant little product. Wish I’d had one years ago!

I am over the moon with Rguitars. The guitar I purchased arrived in time for a gig deadline that I had. It was ready to plug in and play straight out of the box. Great set up, I can tell the work is done with love & care. Thanks for the awesome service.
