Great communication and great product - thank you

I purchased a 6 person barrel sauna from Redwood Outdoors. There were several different shpments required to get me the sauna, the heater, the sauna rocks, floorboards, etc. When things went wrong with the shipping (and they did), Redwood Outdoors was very responsive and solved all the problems quickly> i was impressed with. their service.

Shipment was not correct. Missing pieces. Took long time to get this resolved. Sales made some concessions to ship upgrades but months later they have not arrived. Sauna works well

The customer experience was excellent from start to finish, and the sauna itself is wonderful. It was easy to put together and made of beautiful materials. We had to delay the shipping 3 times because of construction issues and it was never a problem. Everything arrived on time and deliveries were communicated well. We had lots of questions and everyone at Redwood Outdoors was so patient. Plus it was significantly less expensive than the other saunas we looked at.

My sauna has not arrived and it’s over a month late without an update on an accurate arrival time

We purchased a sauna for our short-term rental property and could not be more pleased! The sales team walked me through all of the various sauna and accessory options and we put together a package that was perfect for our needs. The quality of the products are top notch. We'd definitely recommend Redwood Outdoors to anyone looking for great quality at a reasonable price point!

Great communication and customer service!

Our Alaskan cold plunge is leaking what appears to be motor lubricant into our tub.

The support tech couldn’t tell us anything but “try flushing it”, wouldn’t escalate, then stopped answering calls.

We now have a several thousand dollar paper weight that may be toxic to use. Extremely unhappy about this from a company that is supposed to be top tier.

Overall, I think Redwood Outdoors offers a solid sauna, but prospective buyers should know about my experience.

I purchased the 4-Person Cabin Sauna with the Harvia Virta 8kW heater because I wanted a setup capable of reaching very high temperatures. Before purchasing, I was told this combination should heat the cabin in roughly 30–60 minutes. In reality, mine consistently takes 60–120 minutes, even though the heater is arguably oversized for this cabin.

Customer support started off very well. I spoke with three different representatives, all of whom agreed that my heat-up time didn't seem normal. They initially suspected either a heater issue or another problem with the installation, and for over a month Redwood acted as the middleman between me and Harvia while we troubleshot the system.

Eventually, I contacted Harvia directly. That made the process much more efficient. Redwood typically responded every 24–48 hours, while Harvia was available by phone and we could troubleshoot in real time. If you're having heater-specific issues, I'd recommend contacting Harvia directly rather than going through Redwood.

During the troubleshooting process, I verified that the electrical supply was correct, confirmed with Harvia that the heater was operating as designed, and tested the sauna under a variety of conditions. After eliminating the heater as the source of the problem, it became clear that the issue was likely with the cabin itself rather than the heater.

Once Harvia confirmed the heater was operating properly, Redwood's position changed. I was told that my expectation of heating the cabin in under an hour was unrealistic, despite that expectation being based on what I had been told before purchasing. Communication also became increasingly slow and eventually stopped altogether.

Since then, I've had a local sauna installer evaluate the cabin. They identified several construction issues that they believe are allowing excessive heat loss. Based on their assessment, they are confident they can correct the problems and significantly improve performance. We haven't completed that work yet because we're preparing for a home renovation and will be relocating the sauna anyway.

I expect the sauna will ultimately perform the way it was described when I purchased it, but it will likely require around $1,500 in additional work beyond what I anticipated. In the meantime, we're also paying more in electricity because the sauna has to run nearly twice as long to reach the temperatures we were expecting.

I believe my situation is probably the exception rather than the rule. I also recognize that I'm likely looking for performance that's closer to a custom-built sauna without spending $30,000 or more. After researching many competing sauna kits before and after my purchase, I still believe Redwood Outdoors offers one of the stronger options in this price range.

While I do recommend Redwood Outdoors, I also think it's helpful for prospective buyers to understand both the strengths of the product and the possibility that, if you happen to run into an issue like mine, you may need to be persistent in getting it resolved. At the end of the day, this is a kit sauna rather than a fully custom installation, and my experience was that some troubleshooting and fine-tuning ultimately fell on me as the owner. Going into the purchase with that expectation will likely make for a better overall experience.

My sauna is incredible and the staff at Redwood Outdoors are amazing and wonderful. Every one who tries my sauna says it is the best sauna they have ever used--in a class of it's own. It is truly transformative! This sauna has been designed with every detail in mind to create the perfect experience. I was afraid that I would be in over my head with such a project, but with Brad and the team at Redwood Outdoors I was completely supported with accessible, knowledgeable and dear good people. By the time the project was completed they felt like family. I love my sauna, I love Redwood Outdoors! (even the people who deliver the sauna are excellent and a cut above!)

Start to finish no hiccups. Ran short of shingles and was supplied immediately with no delay. Good product works as expected.

A couple of years ago, I purchased a sauna and cold plunge from Redwood Outdoors, and I've been thrilled with both ever since. Recently, I noticed that Redwood had introduced a new spa-style cover for the latest version of their cold plunge. It wasn’t listed for sale on their website, so I called to see if there was any way to purchase one for my existing unit.

The customer service representative I spoke with was incredibly helpful. Although the cover wasn't available for my model at the time, she took the time to research it, collected my information, and promised to follow up if anything changed.

About two weeks later, she called me back and asked for my shipping information. Before she sent it, I asked what the cost would be—and to my surprise, Redwood sent me the new cover completely free of charge!

The cover arrived quickly, and after installing it, I can honestly say it's a game changer. It secures tightly to the cold plunge, does a much better job of keeping the water cold and clean than the original wooden top, and includes keyed locking buckles that help prevent children from accidentally gaining access. It's a thoughtful design and a significant upgrade.

Beyond the exceptional customer service, I continue to be extremely happy with both my sauna and cold plunge. They've had a tremendous positive impact on my health, wellness, and overall enjoyment. Whenever friends or family come over, they're immediately drawn to them. I constantly get asked where I bought them, and after seeing them in person, people usually start talking about getting their own.

It's rare to find a company that stands behind its products and customers this well. Redwood Outdoors has earned a customer for life, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering a sauna or cold plunge.

i ordered the flat flooring in my barrel and i wasn't notified that it was on back order until i inquired about it. it would have been nice to know as soon as i ordered as i would have built my own. secondly, i ordered 4 sauna hats that didnt get delivered and when i inquired about them, last week, i still havent heard anything.

The sauna itself is great. Easy to build and solid construction. The roofing is the main problem. I paid for the metal roof, which I would not have done had the description mentioned the shingles included with the sauna. However, I followed the directions perfectly and the roof leaks in rain. There is no real moisture prevention, so I am now having to seal the entire roof after springing multiple hundred dollars for a "nicer" metal roof which is worse than tar shingles would have been at no extra cost.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Redwood Outdoors. From start to finish, the customer service was outstanding, and Brad was incredible to work with throughout the entire process. He was always quick to answer my questions, offered honest advice, and made sure everything went as smoothly as possible. Even after the installation, he continued checking in to make sure everything was working properly and that I was happy with the sauna. That level of customer service is hard to find.

The quality of the sauna exceeded my expectations. I purchased the Duo Outdoor Sauna with the Harvia Spirit heater and it has been amazing. It heats up quickly, looks beautiful in our backyard, and has become something my entire family enjoys almost every day. You can really tell the craftsmanship and attention to detail are top-notch.

If you’re thinking about buying a sauna, I highly recommend Redwood Outdoors. Between the quality of the product and the outstanding support from Brad, the entire experience has been first class. It has been one of the best investments we’ve made for our home, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from Redwood Outdoors again.
