I have been a loyal customer to Red Wing Shoes for over 40 years. Never had a problem with any of there products. Until now! I bought a pair of hunting boots quite a few years, that I wear maybe twice a year. Very comfortable to say the least. I had them on recently doing some yard work and noticed that the sole was separating from the upper. I have always taken very good care of them. The upper, the inner, and the sole all show very little signs of wear. The problem is not a matter of these shoes being wore out. The clerk at the store agreed. Even a cheap pair of shoes would not do this. They are out of warranty, but the name itself should stand for something. I did not expect a free replacement, but given the situation they should have at least sold me a new pair at cost. A free repair was offered, but i don't believe they can be fixed. Needless to say I will no longer be a customer to Red Wing Shoes.

They don’t stay behind their shoes quality. Warrantied my first pair and with same issue went back with second pair and they told me it is my faul. Laughed in my face. Not worth my money spent!
Dakota makes much better boots then Red Wings and not twice/three times more expensive. Sad experience of apparently good shoes. Not anymore!

Chets Red Wing boots and shoes are a joke in the twin cities the owners kids are intitald moron's that lacks total basic common sense and to resole a brand new boots bought at Red Wing takes 3-4 months. If anyone wants really good boots Whites sale of 20-25 off is the way to go and Nick's boots are better if you are interested in the best work boots. Chets boots suck plane and easy

If you want a $300 pair of boots that last you 4 months buy red wing, bought a pair in December already had a couple holes by February. By April I had several holes do not recommend them at all buy a cheap pair of boots and save your money. Called the support gave some tuff toe to put on them and that lasted 3 weeks and had even more holes in them. Waste of money I wouldn’t buy a pair unless they are $50 or under

I bought these boots under the impression that they fixed them in Canada, I was wrong.

Had the work boot 2.0 can’t remember the actual name of the boot and I purchased them thinking that the higher quality would add to a longer life.

Yeah no, you’re better off just buying a good boot from Marks once every 1.5 years for half the price because they aren’t the best boot in the world.

They break down and the stitching busts out JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER BOOT.

I had them professionally fixed by a cobbler 3 times by the time I was actually prepared to just throw them away, to get the sole and everything replaced on them will cost you 250 or 300 anyway.

So just buy a new pair of boots, yeah I know people are gonna say that you don’t have to break them in again and blah blah blah, but you know something? Getting new soles put on boots does have a break in period so, try another argument.

Yeah it’s nice leather material, but way over priced, all said and one I think I walked out of the store with a receipt for 500+ because I got the tuff toe and laces and insoles because the stock one sucks.

One nIce thing I will say though is that you can bring them in and they’ll clean them and moisturizer them for free. The customer service is also great but the boot sucked, took a month to break in too, very uncomfortable at the start.

Please, don’t buy these boots

Red Wing Amsterdam took a long time to ship and doesn't offer width EE sadly enough. Overall, they have great boots for their price!

I have been a contractor for 22 years and basically live in my work boots. I decided to try Red Wing boots for the first time last October. With in a couple of months of wearing them I developed pain in my right foot on my toes and went back to the store I bought them from (Red Wind Shoes, Brea, CA location) for their advice. They told me it appears I needed a slightly larger size but the boots, which were all ready well worn by then, were no longer under warranty or well past the exchange date. Still, Dan who was helping me insisted on contacting the store owner to explain the situation and get back to me when he had a chance to speak with them. I was not expecting the call let alone his response that the owners wanted me to be happy with their product and that they would replace the boots no questions asked with the correct size. It is extremely rare these days to find a business who cares about what do and the customers who rely on their products and I must say that this Red Wing location is a perfect example of how a business should be run. I'm am now a loyal Red Wing customer and will be making my yearly boot purchases from this store, and if you are like me and need to count on well made boots for your livelihood, you should visit this store and buy your boots from them as well.

Great boots yet no free returns (atleast in europe) therefore making it expensive or hard to figure out the right size if you don't live near a store

I just bought a pair of RedWing work boots at the end of July. I wore them for work into October. The sole on the right boot came unglued while I was working,from heel to arch. I contacted RedWing and their service is awful. I sent pics of boot and receipt. They said it wasn't an authorized store. But if I sent boots the would try to repair. $200 boots and they do not stand behind them. I will go back to Double H. Quality is great there and I have boots over 5 years old with no sole issues

I was fitted with a pair of Redwing moctoe 8890 boots. I complained of an ill-fitting insole but was told this was normal. I went back a few months later and again about 9 months later and told the boot was fine and that it just needed more break-in. Seems to me that the boot may be defective so I contacted their head office and was told I've worn them too much to replace. This is my third pair of Redwings and I've gone from a cheerleader to a hater.

Update: As of Jan.13/23 Redwing HO has reached out and offered a replacement pair. I’ll resume my love affair with Redwing :)

Bought an Iron Ranger 8085 about a year ago from the Red Wing London store, and really love both the quality and look. Copper Rough & Tough leather is ageing well with beautiful patinas. My next Red Wing would be a Moc Toe or Blacksmith or both.

If you can buy only 1 pair of boots in your life, go and buy Red Wing boots, the older the boots, the nicer the color, their winkles are nice and leather are so premium. Just got my new pair of 875 Red Wing, it is my 4th boots and the quality still remain the same as the 1st boot i bought 20 years ago.

bought a pair of 8085 Iron Ranger Burnished-Leather Boots from Mr Porter. They look nice and I tried to break them in and even buy padded insoles, but no use these boots are awful. they destroy your feet I wear them for a few hours and my feet are in agony for the rest of the week. what's worse because I wore them twice I can't return them. Waste of £300.!

If I could give more stars to David Briscome at Red Wing I would. Over the whole period of selling our flat he has always been there being helpful answering emails right away. Giving me information whenever I asked. I felt very confident in all my dealing with him. I’m not sure if he ever went on holiday as he was always there. Thank you David I don’t think anyone could possibly find a better person to help them when selling their flat. Christine

I’ve been waiting for my Red Wing delivery for nearly 2 months! I’ve emailed three times and I have had no helpful information or engagement. Given that it is February, I gather the product will not be here for Christmas 2020. Really disappointed with the lack of response and interest.

Best boots I ever had! I got my very first Red Wing two years ago and until now I use it practically for work and leisure. I love the style, the look - very though looking and yet comfortable inside. Its need a little breaking-in at first but given some time it goes well with your feet. Bravo!
