People(me) tend to have a preconceived idea that insurance companies try not to pay claims. Fortunately, Red Sky asked for a few documents and then the decision to honor my claim was approved. They did it the right way.

Two follow up phone calls to status…
Two follow up phone calls to status claim payment. Got two different answers. Placed on hold after starting 2nd call for 18 minutes. Rep said I should get Chase instructions “today”. Did not. It would have been faster to have check mailed. Still nothing from Chase.

Red Sky Travel Insurance is predatory…
Red Sky Travel Insurance is predatory and has no intention of paying any claims on policies purchased through them. In reviewing of not only my own experience, but reading additional reviews, this company is unethical. We had to cancel our trip due to Hurricane Helene and having no confirmation of whether or not our rental house had any power. So we cancelled. Turns out that’s not covered. We were expected to fly to GA with no knowledge of whether or not the house had power. Since the house did eventually get power back they denied it.

What a joke
What a joke! I purchased travel insurance for a trip that I booked to Blowing Rock NC Nov 7-10th. The area has been wiped out by Hurricane Helene. I filed with insurance and it was denied completely. They stated that they don't cover if the event is more than 30 days prior to the stay. What??Why even buy insurance if that is the case. Save your money! This company is a scam.

Travel insurance is a named peril insurance, meaning only covered events outlined in your policy are insured. Unfortunately, your circumstance did not meet a covered reason under your policy. As stated in the Description of Coverage that you received when you purchased the policy, similar to other travel insurance offerings, your policy pays benefits for Trip Cancellation occurring within 30 days after the named hurricane makes Your destination accommodations Uninhabitable.

Daughter has cancer
Daughter has cancer. Communicated this when registering for a getaway between treatments with vacation rental in advance. Got an official letter from the hospital about being admitted to emergency room. Requested an extra form which pushed toward HIPPA violation. I am sorry your company has no trust but end of day insurance was honored

As with any insurance claim, in order to adjudicate a claim in accordance with the terms of the policy, whether to approve or deny, our examiners require complete documentation supporting such claim. An Attending Physician Statement was necessary in this instance to properly evaluate your claim. This form contains relevant information such as dates of treatment and physician recommendations that we needed to adjudicate your claim.
