I purchased a firearm from Range USA in Round Rock, TX. The salesman was polite, though he did sign me up for a membership I hadn't explicitly agreed to — a yellow flag I should have caught.

When I brought my husband to use the range, we were denied service and asked to leave solely because he carries a South African passport. The owner called to apologize, and we were willing to move on — all we wanted was a clean cancellation of the membership.
Instead, Range USA refused to cancel and would only "pause" the account for $5/month.
I spent three months requesting a straightforward cancellation through their support team. Each time I was told they couldn't cancel and that I needed to figure it out myself.
After months of being ignored, I was forced to dispute the charges with my bank just to get a response.
Their reply? Citing one or two ticket numbers as if that represents the full history — conveniently omitting every ticket related to us being denied access to the range based on my husband's nationality or the weeks of dispute that followed.
I am now receiving daily communications asking me to reactivate my membership (to be clear, they are too lazy to actually call, its just harassing automated emails that they are refusing to turn off)

To summarize: they signed me up for a membership I didn't want, denied us service based on national origin, refused to cancel when asked, charged me monthly for a service they wouldn't let me use, and ignored months of support requests.

There are better ranges and retailers in the area. I'd encourage you to find one.

The range itself was fine, but the cancellation of my membership could not have gone worse.
I originally placed my membership on pause. At the time it was not made clear that i would be charged monthly 4.99 for the "paused" status. after a few months i noticed i was still being charged and tried to cancel fully online, but the account management page on the website showed that i had no membership. There was no indication that my membership was in the paused state. I opened a ticket with support to have them help me fully cancel it, and they just sent back a copy and past "instructions for cancellation" which did not work at all. I only got the subscription to stop after a very strongly worded support ticket demanding that they either cancel the subscription from their end, are call me directly. PS: there is also no phone number to talk to the online support team for range USA.

Loyal customer for many years, and then they had to mess it up. My wife and daughter went there the day before Father’s Day and bought for me a gift certificate for $250.00 dollars. Sunday I open my present and voila, a gift certificate from Range USA but then I sadly realized that I don’t need anymore gun stuff, I have plenty of guns and thousands of rounds of ammo and I just literally do not need anything else so wife went yesterday to get a refund and she was told NO refunds on gift certificate in a non polite way. They came up with lots of excuses and the lady even lied saying that she told her about the refund policy even tho my wife said she didn’t !!! I wrote them yesterday and the same result. I asked them if they have gun safes and the lady said yes but I had to buy in on their website. I asked her several times if safes for rifles and it took 3 or 4 times for her to finally say NO for rifles and I asked her to check on their website with no luck. They sure left a sour taste in my mouth and I guess I’ll be driving a few more miles to a brand new gun store from now on. Shame Shame Range USA!

After several years as a member, Range USA cancelled my membership due to a very strong phone call we had for issues and lack of transparency....too many repeated issues and extremely poor customer service. My final experience involved an unpleasant interaction with online customer support, followed by an even worse conversation with a representative from Illinois. Over the years, I encountered multiple problems, including attempts to charge me FFL transfer fees despite the Elite Membership benefit of one free FFL transfer per month. Returning items purchased online was also unnecessarily difficult and frustrating.
The final issue occurred when my membership was renewed earlier than expected. I contacted customer service to request a downgrade to a basic membership and a refund of the renewal charge. Despite submitting three support tickets and making a phone call, the issue was never properly resolved. Instead, my membership was cancelled, I was charged twice, and I ultimately had to dispute the charges with my credit card company.Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. Customer service was consistently disappointing, FFL transfer fees were expensive at $100, and I found their firearms and services to be overpriced compared to other options available.

Range USA in Carmel is horrible and so is the owner. We were looking at a Canik Prime 9mm hand gun. Sales clerk made it clear gun had 17 round capacity. When I agreed to buy it he switched it out for a 15 round gun and I didn't notice until a couple weeks later when I went to range. Contacted store to get told they don't sell 15 round Canik primes. After arguing w sales clerk and proving him wrong I was told there's nothing they could do. Owner is saying I knew it was 15 rounds. I was only buying gun cause of higher capacity. After way my wife was treated by a sexest pig and the way I was treated we contacted a lawyer. This company is a fraud!!! If u shop here after seeing the reviews u deserve whatever comes your way.

The employees are liars rude when I called corporate to get assistance i8dpumd put why the store employee attitude was allowed Because Logan who told me he was the customer support employee/supervisor was so rude so nasty I asked him to please be patient I've been trying to get my issue resolved since 3/27. He told ms his employee told him a different story & thats the story he believes Dustin also told me that his employee canceled my order and that's why I was charged a restock fee I requested a manager he said NO just NO . BUYERS BEWARE RANGE USA IS TERRIBLE THEY ROBBED ME LEGALLY

Racial profiling with some staff. Made several attempts to cancel membership with no success. Goodlettesville location sucks!

The store and people in Round Rock are great, but buying on their website or asking their customer service online is the worst. The site says 5 to 7 business days to get a product, but I'm on business day 10 with no product, no information, and nothing from them. This will be the first and last time I buy something from their website.

Terrible customer service from "Milley" at membership services, Their system had a glitch and would not process my monthly veterans membership on my Amex. IT kept saying "not a valid card" I called Amex and they said nothing was wrong with card. I emailed Milley back and her response was to send me a diagram on how to input a card. After trying 5 different cards, Amex. MC, visa etc. I got the same response of card not valid. I emailed them back saying none of the cards went through so their is some glitch on their side. Milley sent me back a condescending response on how I cannot follow instructions. What a great rep you got their Range USA. I told her in a email customer service was crap and hope their supervisors read the emails. She then threatened to have me banned from the store. Guess her snowflake started melting. I since joined a conservation club that is respectful to its members and will never go to range USA again , I have spent thousands there over the years and had a veteran membership for about 10 years and thats the response I get from a horrible customer service rep. Stay away from this place!

The second consecutive online ship to store firearm order is "disposed" status after being emailed it was ready for pickup.
Apparantly the store cannot correct the issue and you have to wait longer for corporate to fix the problem. So, wait longer for a paid for item that they can't process due to their error or system that no one can fix except corporate. I have no idea how they stay in business. I will NEVER order from them again. I'd rather pay above retail and get what I want without the ineptitude.

My orders have always come in on time. My range experiences have been awesome because the people that work at this location have the same interest that I do. You do not find that at many gun ranges in the Houston Area. Some on here making bad reviews, are zero clueless about what a good situation is ! Range USA Rocks !! Great Place !!

Houston Area Ranges are very well run and maintained. Staff at Westhiemer location in W. Houston goes above and beyond in technical support,sales, etc ! Range is run extremely well !

Membership fees are outrageous. I only used this place once and it was horribly loud even with the proper hearing protection. I was not told that I would be charged a monthly membership after I paid for the first month. So I was suprised to see a $53.97 charge on my bank account again from them. Tried to get a refund from them for this and was told that they don't refund on memberships and was told I had to pay for 3 months even if I did'nt use their facility. So I am out about $107 for using their loud ass range once. Do not go there the people are con artist and rip-off good people.

Never got my order. No customer service. I got robbed.

This review is not for the staff as they have been amazing and have taught me alot but as a corporate/company review.
My husband and I recently signed up for a monthly membership as well as I enrolled in the lady sure shots.
We paused both memberships for the summer as our schedules got busy. I just found out we are being charged 4.99 plus tax on each memberships- lol the sure shots is only 10.00 month so I am being penalized 4.99 plus tax a month when I can go on any month and pay same day the same $10. This is not a good way to do business as pausing either membership is not holding up anyone from a reserved spot. I think I will look for somewhere else to shoot which is disappointing because I really enjoy the staff there.

My visit to Range USA Humble on June 16, 2025, was one of the most humiliating and racially charged experiences I’ve ever had as a paying customer.

I brought my legally owned firearm and asked the manager for assistance with a jammed magazine. Instead of helping, he immediately treated me with suspicion — questioning my intent simply because the gun was warm from sitting in my car.

Then, in front of a line of customers, he loudly asked if I had a felony. I do not — and even if I did, that should’ve been handled with discretion and respect. He also interrogated my teenage son, who had never been there before, as if we were doing something wrong just by being there.

He claimed I was on a “do not serve” list, then proceeded to call his supervisor and discuss my personal background out loud at the counter. I was denied service without any valid explanation or policy violation. The only thing I did wrong was walk in as a Black man with my son.

This wasn’t just unprofessional — it was public shaming, racial profiling, and a gross invasion of privacy. Range USA should be ashamed of how their staff treats law-abiding Black gun owners. I will never return, and I strongly encourage others — especially people of color — to think twice before spending your money here.

Horrible customer service from the shaggy workers at range USA Mokena. Horrible policy and dirty owner. They’re all in knowledgeable and rude. Look at all the negative stuff regarding this particular location. They all need to be fired and oh man that weapon doesn’t scare anyone.

I’ve been buying from Range USA for about 15 years, and I have no complaints. Great staff, really nice and safe range, and pretty competitive pricing on firearms. I’ve shopped the Greenwood and Avon, Indiana locations. Nick, Jeff, and the whole staff are great.

Check out their daily/weekly deals. Excellent prices, but nothing is ever in stock ANYWHERE. Put several items on my wish list, but have never received notification that item was/is in stock. Talked to management at the range and received a very snarky “well, what do you want me to do about it “. Classic “bait” ad, terrible management, and horrible customer service.
