I signed up for Qwoted on December 30 and found it very helpful, at first. However, when I went to read a response from a source for an article I was working on today (January 16), I found that I couldn't and that my account had been automatically disabled.

When I reached out to customer service, I was told the publication I write for was "not a fit" for their network. I write for a company blog that covers lawn care and home improvement. Nothing about what type of publications could use Qwoted were mentioned anywhere upon signing up -- and the platform allowed me to sign up and work with several sources over the past couple of weeks. There was also ZERO warning that my account would be disabled.

This is poor customer service and poor management of a site. If they don't want certain publications to sign up, they need to say that upfront and be very specific.

Thankfully, the customer service rep did send me the response from the source I had been trying to retrieve after asking a couple of times.

As a health writer/reporter, I'm constantly needed interviews with doctors, researchers, and other experts. Qwoted has been a valuable way of getting them. The staff is very helpful and communicative as well.

So far, 1 of the 3 pitches I submitted on Qwoted was accepted. I used on HARO for years and (to my knowledge), none of my pitches were accepted - it felt like I was just sending pitches into the void. Not to mention, their submission process was a bit clunky. Receiving an automated email from Qwoted when a reporter opens your pitch is much better than wondering if your pitches are being seen by reporters! This is just one of the great features Qwoted offers.

Lastly, I appreciated the LinkedIn message from one of the Co-Founders. It was likely automated, but the gesture shows dedication to a positive user experience across all touch points.
