My entire experience with Pure Energy…

My entire experience with Pure Energy has been excellent from start to finish. As a firm, they are professional, courteous and most of all will put your faith back into business. I am so pleased I took the call in September last year from Holly in their sales team who made such a positive impression on me that I remembered her many months later when I recently had a problem with my solar panels (these were installed seven years ago by a different firm).

The two guys who came in to do the installation, Nicola and Pavel, went above and beyond what was required of them. They were courteous, patient and prepared to think outside the box. Having started off thinking they'd have to bring the wires in from under the floorboards causing much disruption and inconvenience, they came up with a neat solution that was far more manageable and better in the long run. They installed the equipment in the space in a cupboard under the stairs. While they waited for their equipment to arrive, Nicola helped me fix a table leg that needed to be screwed in and Pavel fitted a door handle that had been on my to-do list for a very long time. When they were about to leave, we discovered a potentially catastrophic leak with water pouring through the ceiling of one of our upstairs rooms. I hasten to add that it had nothing to do with them or the work they'd carried out. And yet, they stayed for at least an hour longer to investigate the cause of the leak and find ways to fix it. It transpires that there was broken roof tile which has probably letting water in for a while. But the recent installation of better guttering meant that when it rains very hard, as it did earlier this afternoon, the rain water was being very efficiently collected and poured out in the exact spot where there was this roof damage. Nicola crawled into the loft space and took a video to show me that the water leakage was not a new thing and that it has probably been letting water in for a long time. Pavel went up on to the scaffolding and has put some temporary sealant and a cover which has stopped the water coming in for now.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to both Nicola and Pavel. They were literally been angels in disguise. Without them we might be facing a potential caving in of our ceiling.

I also want to acknowledge Harry, the CEO of the Pure Energy, for his vision and the way he treats his employees and customers. Pure Energy is a good example of a responsible, sustainable business. I wish them every success.

We had a very interesting and thorough…

We had a very interesting and thorough interview with the salesperson, and although we had to wait until after the Christmas period, arrangements for installation of the batteries were then swiftly made. The two people who undertook the installation were very polite, got on with the job, and it was completed in a morning. The after-sales service has been excellent, with my queries answered knowledgeably, and problems dealt with efficiently. Thank you to all involved from the company.

Solar and battery storage

From ordering to completion of solar panels and battery, service was excellent and professional.customer service from pure energy was excellent,work was neat and tidy from installation team and all was explained before leaving.

Great price and service whats not to…

Great price and service whats not to like
We went to 5 companies to quote and provide estimated savings for our solar array. After careful consideration we thought that Pure Energy offered the best solution, the price was good, Gary the sales guy was not pushy at all just really helpful and the estimated savings were in line with others. The installation was smooth, scaffolding went up promptly, the installer Nicola was here on time, left everything clean/tidy and took time to explain the system well. All in all very happy with Pure Energy thank you for a great job

I have put 1 star but honestly if I…

I have put 1 star but honestly if I could give minus 10 that would be the reflection of how dissatisfied I am as a customer with pure energy. My problem has been on going since March 22 and still it rolls on. Firstly I paid £11.500 for batteries and a converter. I made an agreement with the sales person whom I just don’t have the space here to go into detail about but suffice to say being pushed from pillar to post is mild and spoken to like a dullard has been my experience. Now the order was for a battery system reflective of my money spent. Only to discover some months down the line that I was sold short !! There had been numerous calls made with little response from the people who are responsible for answering and/or helping to rectify our problems but nothing came from any call. Only to be told this person or that person would return your call but unfortunately there was nothing. We waited months threats of the ombudsman been fed and told lies mistruths and stories that were reminiscent of Jackanory eventually ended and they gave us what we should have had in the first place an added battery and the paid for items. Now- However the converter no longer has the capacity for this extra battery. It’s your broadband we were told it’s this and that we were told but nothing works. It’s now December 9 months of continual worry and no matter what or how stupid the sales man thinks I am we have lost revenue and continue to do so. The final straw is to now have legals involved to retrieve our money which is £11.500 down the drain. I wish to god I had never heard of pure energy and if you take the time to read this review. Go elsewhere run for the hills take your hard earned cash with you because you will be so disappointed with the lies the mistruths and the distrust of anything they say as being factually correct You will be left worrying about your electricity bills. Something we were told would be in the distant past but it’s not and we are £11.500 poorer for it.

I had researched many companies…

I had researched many companies previous to choosing Pure Energy and by far I made the right choice, the great reviews, sales team, installation team and aftercare team were extremely professional helpful and polite which I know matters to everyone!

Good service from start to finish.

From first meeting Mike to the finished job has been smooth and efficient. The job was completed quickly and in time, I’m very happy with the work and it’s working a treat. If there was anything I would explain the size of the storage batteries as that was a bit of a surprise. But I would definitely recommend Pure Energy.

A very friendly and professional service

Our solar and battery installation was both substantial and relatively complex. Despite a number of challenges, Pure Energy did an excellent job and were both friendly and professional. I would thoroughly recommend them.

Cannot praise Pure Energy highly enough!

From the first consultation to the installation of our solar panels and batteries, we felt we were in the best hands. Our consultant Paul was very good at explaining, in layman's terms, how our proposed system would work and answered all our questions, no matter how small. Communication throughout was excellent and kept us re-assured as further questions arose. The delivery and installation was on-time as described and the finished job very neat and professional. We are so very pleased with the result and cannot stop ourselves looking at the app to see our system at work. I don't think we've used a single Kwh from the grid for the two days it's been up and running! Pure Energy came recommended to us and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. I cannot praise this company highly enough!

No aftercare at all

This company has left a bad taste in our mouths due to their bad customer service. The only positive to come out of this is that we now have batteries which have saved us some money on our electricity bills. Our battery installation was begun on 4th March 2022, was completed(ish) on 15th March; it is now August 22nd and we are still waiting for our socket among other complaints which are still to be resolved. We are seeking compensation as there are so many.
I emailed the salesman to say there were issues on 15th March, I spoke to someone in the office on the phone telling them of some of the issues on 17th March, and then emailed a list of problems to the office on 1st April. As of 21st August, apart from the scaffolding eventually being taken down, nothing has been done to resolve any of these other problems.
The company was told to only telephone my husband as I am unable to take phone calls when teaching; despite this, Pure Energy continually tried to phone my mobile number.
When the fitter arrived on 4th March he could not complete the work as there was no scaffolding for him to get onto solar panels on the roof. Adrian (salesman) had taken photographs to show scaffolding was needed.
After this, I was told on the phone the scaffolders might be able to come on Thursday or Friday afternoon, but that it would be confirmed; it wasn’t; they turned up on Friday lunchtime. The same thing for the return of the fitter; it was hoped he would come on Tuesday, but it would be confirmed – it wasn’t – he just turned up!
One specific thing we asked Adrian about was a socket so that if there is a power cut, we can use the power from the battery, however, this has not been fitted.
We were also told that the old inverter would be removed and recycled, but it has been left in the loft along with two boxes full of packaging.
During installation, damage was done to my daughter's model rail layout leaving her with nearly 4 hours of repairs to do as well as damaged items which cannot be repaired.
Following the fitting, my husband has some concerns about the state of the wiring which could potentially be dangerous – we need some assurances which have not been forthcoming.
The mess left in the porch is terrible; chunks of brick taken off when they are painted white, black conduit fitted in the middle of a white painted wall, brick dust not wiped away.
Phone calls to our landline and my mobile to ask how the installation had gone were received before we had a chance to get home from work to inspect it.
An invoice was received on the day of completion demanding payment within 7 days when we had arranged finance through the company; the finance information did not arrive until the next day after I had had a sleepless night of worry thinking there was a problem.
At first, we noticed that the batteries were discharging overnight to the grid, although this was corrected, but now we are often still pulling power from the grid when we have full batteries. No solution to this has been offered.
Apart from the problems getting the scaffolding put up, it took even longer to get it taken down! After many times of the company simply failing to turn up, they took the front scaffolding down when we were out leaving us to wonder if it had been stolen, they eventually took the back scaffolding down on 5th April, although even this was not without hassle with the scaffolder blaming Pure Energy saying he had turned up when they had told him to.
We have been frequently emailing the office, and she has been saying that she will get it sorted, but after months of waiting, we have nothing resolved.

Perfect upgrade

Pure Energy Upgraded my solar panels in April after the inverter broke on my PV system. The previous company I used turned out to be useless. They were great at taking my money and doing the job. Rubbish at after-sales support. So glad I stumbled onto Pure Energy as these guys were quick & professional. The system they installed was brilliant. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Great company from top to bottom

Fantastic company

From start to finish we have had an excellent service from Pure Energy. Our initial visit from Andy convinced us that we needed solar batteries and it was not long before the engineers arrived to install them in our house. The work was done efficiently, calmly and extremely professionally leaving us with an extremely neatly done job and a very efficient looking set up. They are now working and we could not be more pleased – it is a great feeling to see our solar panels working in conjunction with the batteries and saving us (hopefully) much money in the world where energy prices are soaring through the roof. Overall, we are thrilled with the work, the back up, the advice – everything about the company has been excellent!

Really straight forward spoke to Jon…

Really straight forward spoke to Jon (sales) who understood we were looking at re-installing our solar panels after an extension and also looking to upgrade with a battery pack system. Understood we wanted to do it sooner rather than later as away on holiday soon and after speaking to Harry they managed to fit us in. Mike and Jonno turned up on time, were polite, informative and got straight on with sorting it all out, also answering a few of my technical questions, especially around the app and battery system. Great job, no mess, done on time and the lads said any issues just call us and will sort it, which is reassuring. Kim has been really up to date and helpful sorting invoicing and payment. Considering I found their details on FB and just put in a call, I couldn't recommend them highly enough, when I need to add some additonal panels to a project out house next year, i will be in touch...thankyou and RECOMMENDED

From our first meeting to the end of…

From our first meeting to the end of the process it was all done professionally. There was no hard sell which was a definite bonus.
The battery was installed a week after agreeing to purchase by 2 lovely males. Everything was explained to us when they installed the App in a patient manner ( as they needed that with us ) fitter got upset when I started brushing up as he explained that that was his job not mine.
Definitely recommend this firm.

Poweresque

The area manager visited promptly and on time. He was pleasant and knowledgable and thorough in his analysis of our needs and wishes. All praise!

We paid our deposit promptly and were told we'd soon get a call to discuss an installation date.
We did get two call the next weekend but we were out. A message said please ring back on the number left.
When we did so the number was unobtainable at all times. Very frustrating!!!
Then we heard nothing for ten days.
We phoned the manager and he was able to contact the firm and get us a call to arrange installation.

The installers were great. They arrived when they said , installed the battery etc. with great skill and care. afterwards they cleaned up and took all rubbish away. Then explained the working of the battery clearly.
All very pleasant and professional.

It was the office which were lacking or the telephone link was incorrect , we don't know

The system is running well and we are excited about the app showing us the working of the battery.

Overall a very positive experience.

Install went well but service either end of that experience could have been better

Pure Energy received a lead that we were interested in having solar panels installed as they offered built in invertors on their product.

We had Michael the salesman attend our property and we had a chat about what we wanted, how the panels would be set up on our roof space, the installation of a battery and exactly what their product can give us and the cost, which we agreed to.

We then received a call from Harry to arrange a date, but then received a call back at a later date to say they could not attend the earlier agreed date, which was no problem as they had given us advanced warning they were unable to attend.

A new date was agreed to and when no-one had turned up by 12 noon on the revised date, my wife called to check what happened. No-one came that day.

The revised date was then postponed to another date, when Dan and his electrician turned up early and the install begun. This all went very well and the electrician (sorry, forgot your name) suggested a slight re-design of the layout of the panels to maximise their worth, which was a great shout and one we accepted.

Dan and his colleague worked tireslessly on a very hot day and were very polite and tidy. Install completed and a quick overview of the apps to confirm how the panels were performing and all completed satisfactorilly. The install took all day.

2-3 days after the install completed, we started to hear noises coming from under the panels where doves and then pidgeons were trying to nest. A quick Google search determined this was a thing with these birds and I contacted Dan to see if there was a solution to this.

Dan confirmed a price for putting up a bird guard, but was not able to attend for a few days, within which time we had sourced another supplier and installer for the job and let Dan know to cancel.

In summary, I would recommend Pure Energy for their knowledge of solar products and their ability to install solar panels and batteries (if required), as our experience of that went very well.

What I would recommend they do to improve the customer experience is to make sure any cancellations of installs their end are advised in a timely manner to the customer and not have the customer calling on the day of the install to be told its not happening. They got this right once and failed once.

I would also advise them to at least offer the bird guard at the time of selling the product to us or during the install so your customer knows this could happen and give the customer the option to install it or not.

I know they are a busy company and wish them well.I'm sure they will perform better on the points I raised.

I received a cold call from a “private…

I received a cold call from a “private number” from Pure energy lead finder allegedly of Pure Energy who knew my name and that I had solar panels. Was i interested in getting more power from my panels and batteries for my installation. Actually I was interested. Over several phone calls each from a private number inter-leaved with my email questionnaire requesting salient details of a potential order a) to establish bona fide company vice a scam; b) to get an understanding of what likely costs and benefits might be and how/where/what their installation might look like at my property. The responses were empty of detail or helpful information. The primary objective of his phone calls/emails seemed to be to book a visit from a rep who happened to be in my area at the end of the week. Having experienced visits in the past from double glazing sales folk my ‘scam radar’ was signalling be very wary! I specifically requested a the rep contact me 10/6/22 by phone only. But The lead finder called instead of the area manager i was expecting. I had already described my solar panel configuration and its annual production in email to him. I had been advised that Pure Energy website contains all the information I needed. The lead finder was adamant that a rep call to see the installation and establish my power usage. He could not explain what the rep would gain from a visit that I could not explain in a phone call. The lead finder failed to identify what a common battery installation “size” and cost might be as a ball park figure for my size of installation. He explained batteries last for 12000 cycles or 19 years without being able to define what 1 cycle was. An impasse was reached because i only need a phone call, he only needed a rep to call. There was great verbal pressure applied to have the rep call. Why waste his travel time and fuel. I know my usage and and generation requirements. The web-site is very light on specific information and seemingly heavy on generic advertising.. Still not sure that this was not a scam call.

Still seeking valid ball-park figures and parameters that would guide me on specifying optimum battery installation. Ho-hum.

Disappointing sales tactics

What with the horrendous rise in energy prices we decided to get a quote on battery storage for our home so had a rep from Pure Energy come out to us.big mistake.
As soon as I opened the front door I recognised him from a previous visit some years ago but with a different company.it was a "free health check" cold call that led to that appointment & back then he tried to sell me a voltage optimiser & micro inverters for our 4KW solar installation.our then 6yr old system as it is now was generating at more or less full capacity & even though he had all the data & knew the inverter had recently been replaced under warranty insisted it was the better option but the payback figures just didn't add up.his estimate was 6 to 8 years but on my own calculations it was more like 25 so definitely not worth it & didn't pursue it.
Anyway I decide to give him the benefit of the doubt & apart from showing us the scare monger headlines of impending power cuts that were being peddled by the media everything was going ok or so I thought.
As the consultation progressed I realised we probably needed the consumer unit replacing as well so any quote I was given for the storage system added costs would be incurred.as soon as I said we would need a bit of time to think it over his mood changed dramatically.
He basically shut the consultation down,started packing his stuff away & was reluctant to answer any more questions.he left us with unanswered questions,no figures at all to go over or any literature just a verbal quote on the battery storage.I was adamant I was happy with the price & the install would be done one way or the other but no because we didn't sign up there & then off he went on a strop telling us the price would rise if we waited,no one could do the same job cheaper or if they did it'd be sub standard etc etc.
Very childish MS & needless to say your behaviour has cost your company a potential sale.well done.
I will say the battery storage install could still of gone ahead without changing the consumer unit,it did mean though there were no spare slots left for the other projects we have in the pipeline.I wanted to explore getting it all done in one hit or having an electrician do the work before the install but wasn't given the chance to explain this thanks to his eagerness to end the consultation.
