This company deserves a ZERO RATING..I Purchased fiesta six flags, tickets, handicap parking, drink cups 2, flash pass, $ 464.35 not including insurance protection plan.. what protection I ask? on June 17th,2024 to be used on July 13th, 2024. Due to hurricane BERYL ..WE decided to cancel because a big pine tree in my back yard fell on power lines...hit my neighbors shed, and back porch..my neighbors..not my house. So due to the situation we thought the right thing to do was to stay and help out and clean up a Hugh mess at.our expense...insurance said it ( WAS ACT OF GOD) SO NO CLAIM WAS TO BE FILED. NO CLAIM. WE CANCELED WITH FANSHIELD ON JULY 9TH 2024. SAYS WOULD GET A CALL BACK IN 3 DAYS . TODAY IS JULY 19TH, ***NO CALL BACK YET. JUST E'MAILS REPEATING THE SAME INFORMATION OVER AND OVER. BUT I DID RECIEVE CASE # 16522,17299,17344,17455,17454,17442,17440,17439,17619 AND 17620 10 CASE NUMBERS NOW. EVERYTUME YOU E-MAIL FANSHIELD OR PROTECHT YOU GET A CASE NUMBER. SO I WOULD THINK SOMEONE THERE HAS SOME COMMON SENSE ? STILL NO RESPONSE BY AN AGENT? WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE SYSTEM IS IT A ROBOT AND NO LIVE HUMAN BEING OR IS THIS..( A INTELLIGENCE) I HAVE SENT NEWS LETTERS, GOVERNOR GREG ABBOTT STANDING 68 COUNTIES WERE AFFECTED..THEY WANT A POLICE REPORT why would I call 911 no one was injured or murdered. Then wants an insurance claim. Didn't file insurance. Which is non of there BUSINESS. NOTHING HAPPENED TO MY HOUSE ONCE AGAIN. THATSBWHY I THINK WE ARE COMMUNICATING WITH A ROBOT.SAME QUESTIONNOVER AND OVER. Called six flags couldn't do anything because fanshild and protecht is a 3rd part. But think about it six flags had to of signed something or at least get compensated when you buy insurance for the use of park? I really don't know. I WILL NEVER TRUST GETTING INSURANCE AGAIN. IT'S BEEN NOTHING BUT A BIG.PAIN IN MY A--. NOT WORTH IT. IF I WAS YOU DON'T TRUST THEM THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU JUST WANTING TO GET YOUR MONEY ONLY. WARNING DON'T USE PROTECHT OR FANSHIELD. I went to sheriff's dept today to get help. Which they can't unless I found out if they are a FRAUD OR SCAM...WHICH I DO BELIEVE THEY ARE LOOKING AT OTHER COMPLAINTS. HOW ARE WHY ARE THEY ALLOWED TO DO THIS. THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN AND START AN INVESTIGATING THE COMPANY. SOMETHING IS TERRIBLE WRONG AND NEEDS TO SEE WHAT'S UP? FBI. CIA WHO KNOWS WHY THEY DO THIS? MAKES YOU WONDER. I'VE DISPUTED THE CHARGES DUE TO FRAUD.

I also purchased refundable insurance through a one-night stay through travelplanner.com, but you are directed to this site for a refund. The link to fill out form for refund didn't work; emailing help@protecht also does not work. Stole my money. Do not use travelplanner.com. Chris Colella

Rip off. My refundable room ended up being not refundable because when I went to let them know I needed the refund I got into this weird site where I was canceling the protection-not the reservation. I don’t travel much anymore and I guess I got what I deserve but it’s complete crap that companies get away with theft routinely.

Beware this deceptive scam "service." Their "refund protection" was added without my knowledge to a hotel booking, which was also handled by an equally deceptive scam company known as room77. They do a very good job of appearing to be the hotel themselves.

a cover that is not a cover, if you want to activate your insurance, you must have waterproof evidence that meets fbi class. a difficult to handle and unclear document with too small font size so you will miss important things. Stay away if you can.

Booked a single room for one night at LaQuinta hotel for $145, were then informed that Protecht would charge us an additional $134 for protection, we were not aware of signing up for. Took us an hour on the phone to straighten this out. Sounds like a scam.

Complete waste of money, bordering on a scam. Our event in Dallas was cancelled due to inclement weather. Protect hilariously asked us to send them a document from a Dallas official government site or letter proving this. Whaaaaat? I did send them the actual event cancellation prior to this which clearly stated that the event was cancelled due to the weather. Short story, they kept my money, hotel kept my money and I got ripped off.

Would give zero stars. I booked a refundable stay at a hotel through bookonline.com. I canceled the reservation within the window to get my refund. Then I noticed a charge for $57.67 for TICKET REFUND PROTECTION that I had no idea where that came from. I called my CC company to report the unrecognized charge (fraud) and am being issued a new card (huge hassle). Did more online research (Googling) to figure out the charge was linked to protecht.com as it wasn’t shown in any of the emails related to my transaction. Why would anyone feel the need to pay money for a refundable reservation? Do I need to pay yet someone else to ensure I can get a refund of my $57.67 unknowingly paid to Protecht? Super SCAMMY company.

I booked a hotel reservation over the phone, thru expedia, specifically requesting fully refundableprice room. Received email confirmation for NONREFUNDABLE room and this additional $14 charge for protecht which I did not agree to. I have filed request for refund. SCAM!

Scammy and unethical.

I bought a hotel reservation online, and they had this box to "protect my trip" that at first glance looks like another advertiser link. It's fashioned in a way to hide, and the default option that is selected for you is to "buy" their services. when you submit the hotel reservation, it gets automatically charged to your card even if you didn't see it. This is a massive violation of BC Consumer protection laws, and I've forwarded a complaint to the government for investigation as a result.
