Stay away from this company. Last year we booked for them to come and replace a part of our fridge which was causing issues, which they did. A few months later the issue came back and I asked for them to come and take another look. I tried many times to get in touch with Richard but he ignored my emails. I assume this is because he does not want to replace the part, which is still in warranty. After months of trying to get in touch I will now have to find someone else to do the job, which is very frustrating as the part is still in warranty with protech.

The tech was wonderful, but the price of the repair was outrageous for the time spent and for the cost of the part for repairing my electric dryer. The tech told me that their labor rate is $175 per hour. The repair took about an hour and the charge was over $380. With tax it came out to more than $425. For an hour of time! That is an outrageous profit margin. The tech told me that they have a flat rate charge anytime they have to pull a dryer apart, which let’s face it, is not that big of a deal on an electric dryer when you have the proper tools. Honestly, the tech was one of the best I’ve ever had in the house and he gave me some pro tips on how to keep my dryer running better, but I don’t think I’ll use this company again because, like I said, that is an outrageous charge for what was done.

Washing machine was noisy during spin. Protech diagnosed the problem over the phone. Washing machine was collected for repair and we were contacted to advise that drum seal would also need replacement. When washing machine was returned it was noisier than before! Rang Protech to inform them and sent videos of the issue, we were promised a visit the following week. Nothing. Would not recommend.

We were able to get booked in really quickly, rather than wait a week I'd had been quoted by another appliance repair. Richard was friendly & fixed the fault on our washing machine quickly. All round great service - would use again.

We rang Protech when two of the induction rings failed on our Rangemaster Professional +. Richard investigated the problem and discussed our options without any pressure. The parts were ordered and Richard revisited the following week and completed the repair in a friendly and professional manner. He was quite happy to explain what he was doing too so we learned quite a lot! Definitely recommend!

Rang Protech on The Thursday, Richard turned up on the Sunday and completed the job. He was professional, polite and a really nice guy. Completed the repair on our cooker, really good comms, came when he said he would, did what he said he would and charged a really good price, would recommend this company to anyone.

Such a quick response and call out especially with us needing the oven fixed over the Christmas/new year period. Came out and had the oven fixed within half a hour. The repairmen was obviously an expert in his trade. Thankyou very much again

Excellent service.
Used Protech online form to book an oven repair. They called me back the same day - it was a Sunday! The engineer talked me through a few bits over the phone and managed to sort my problem without coming out or making any charge. Would definitely recommend and will use them again in future.

Our 9 year old Hotpoint washer was getting very noisy, so asked Protech to come and check. As I thought the drum bearings were on the way out as was the pump etc - so it was taken away and repaired in their workshop. We received it back this morning in pristine condition to work for another 9 years - and it’s already eating up the backlog. So all brilliant - the repair, the service and the timing. Richard should be congratulated on establishing and managing such an excellent company. I can’t recommend him/them highly enough - and would urge people always to think about getting appliances repaired rather than throwing them out and buying a new one! Thanks Richard.

20 year old Zannusi washer dryer stopped working mid cycle. Made an appointment with Richard who arrived promptly, diagnosed the fault and had the necessary parts on his van to repair it. Very pleased with the service and the result.

I found this company through a google search after my Bosch Microwave packed up. I completed the online form in the evening and someone called me first thing the next day. Richard has just visited and fitted a replacement fan for far less than a new microwave would have cost. Great service!
