Ben and Frazer arrived promptly and started work immediately. They were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They took the time to explain what they were going to do and how the system works. They explained the app and how it works in a clearly.
The experience from first contact until the final installation was brilliant. We couldn't recommend highly enough.

Rickie Meade attended today to fix a teething issue with a recent retrofit battery installation. He arrived promptly but unfortunately had to wait a couple of hours for parts to be delivered. Rickie's previously fixed an issue we had a couple of years ago and even remembered what that job entailed. He is very polite, cheerful, courteous and apologised profusely (not his fault). Once the part arrived, he was done in 30 minutes. He is a testament to true customer service.

I have been a very happy customer of Project Solar for 12 years and during that time, there have been some issues but they have always addressed and fixed the issue promptly and with absolutely no quibble.

Matt and Kieran were absolutely fantastic. Both Matt and Kieran arrived well on time and introduced themselves. They did the installation very well and professionally. Matt and Kieran explained each step of installation and the insight. They weren’t rushed and did a good job.Nice and sunny day too so already using solar power.

I recently had solar panels installed by Bogdan and his team, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience from start to finish.

From the initial consultation to the final installation, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. Bogdan was knowledgeable, transparent, and took the time to explain the whole process clearly, which really put me at ease. The team arrived on time, worked diligently, and kept everything clean and organised throughout.

The quality of the installation is excellent, and you can tell they take real pride in their work. They were also very respectful of my property and made sure everything was completed to a high standard before leaving.

I have just started dealing with Project Solar for an install way out in the sticks. Their chap on the other end of the phone (Dylan) went above and beyond finding the property and going through the details. A quick, easy and professional service so far, lets see how it goes on the next steps.

Mark was fantastic from the beginning – he took the time to explain everything clearly, especially as I didn’t fully understand how it all worked. Nothing felt rushed and I felt completely confident in the process.

The scaffolding was put up on time as promised, and installation day went just as smoothly. Matt and Kieran arrived nice and early and did a fantastic job, even working through some pretty bad weather. They were professional, tidy, and clearly took pride in their work.

Once everything was completed, they helped set up the app and made sure I understood exactly how to use it, which was really appreciated.

To top it all off, Mark is even popping back on Monday to check everything over – and bringing his homemade pies and wine, which just sums up the level of service!

Absolutely amazing experience – I would highly recommend to anyone considering project solar.

Fantastic service

All installed without a problem except that the roofer was sick the day of installation so had to delay putting solar panels up for 4 days. Scaffolding is still up. Hoping it will be removed asap. Need to contact the sales rep to come and explain the app to me.

Was browsing for solar panels online when Project solar phoned up within 30minutes of entering details. Less than 24hrs later on a Sunday there was a salesman in my front room.
This should have been red flags. But I was in over my head.
We specifically asked about maintenance was washing and were told the panels were top of the range built in house and were cutting edge technology. We don’t need to touch the panels because they are self cleaning and the whole system (panels, inverters and batteries) are monitored by the project solar team to make sure the systems are working, efficient & software is up to date.
The panels were fitted in August 25. We had to wait until October before the grid and octopus had set up their side. (Normal time frame).
One of the very first points in the warranty t&c…..the panels have to be cleaned every 12months by a professional solar panel cleaning professional using approved methods. Cheapest quote so far £250. And after 8months, the panels are going green already.
At the end of the install the app to monitor the systems wasn’t working. The installer said the system just needed to download updates because it was new setup. We phoned up after 2 days and they forced the updates. Seemed to work but we didn’t know how to use the app so couldn’t be sure.
Then the electricity bills went up not down…..we assumed we had done something and the poor weather was a contributing factor. With the good few days of weather come February and March the bills still were no better. But it can’t be the solar system because Project solar monitor it for efficiency right????
They again updated the system…..this made the system work even less….But they asked me to monitor it…..on an app I’m still not sure how to use.
The app system had never shown anything going to or from the grid from day one. So they sent a technician out 9months after install. The system hadn’t worked properly because it hadn’t been wired up correctly!!! 9 months on a system “that is monitored by a tech team remotely”
Then we come to the finance. After being pressured into the sale by the salesman with £5k saving of you buy now we only listened to the (we now realise over priced) system for £140+ a month. Didn’t realise we were also being charged (currently) £114 interest so after 9 months we’ve only paid somewhere around £200.

In summary:
Over priced, pressured sales, NOT maintenance free and tech team that don’t monitor your system

Like everyone on the planet I have always been very sceptical of solar. I loved the idea of it (free electricity) but was it really all its cracked up to be?

Short answer: Yes. But choose the right people to do it through!

My journey started with an enquiry via another party named "Solar Panel Funding". Which was very misleading as it turns out there is no such thing as solar panel funding. It did not help the case but I entertained it nonetheless. I agreed to having a Project Solar sales person head over to see what it was all about. I have to say I was very pleased with George, he was very knowledgeable and wasn't the typical pushy salesman (often associated with vehicle sales). Project Solar made it very clear to reserve around 2 hours for the appointment and in the end I think it was closer to 3. Not because it was awkward but we genuinely had great conversation and the level of detail George went in to was incredible. He didn't really leave me asking any questions except "are there any other discounts you can apply". I accept that Project Solar are not the cheapest solar providers, however, the level of service and assurance you get really drills in the fact that they have been doing this for a very long time and they know what they are doing. Obviously I had done my research online, I had reached out to people who have had solar installed before, a lot of whom have had terrible experiences as there are a lot of companies that spin up, sell and install solar very quickly, declare themselves bankrupt and then the buyer gets left with absolutely no support or guarantees. You get what you pay for at the end of the day.

Project Solar have handled every aspect of the process so far. They have written to the DNO to get my exports up and running. They arranged a scaffolding company to come and install/remove (note: at this moment in time the scaffolding is still up, it is also a long bank holiday Easter weekend...I wasn't expecting a miracle). The installers came to install the panels and battery, very professional and friendly. It was probably just over half a days work for two guys to turn up and install 12 panels on the roof and a battery in the loft.

Everyone to date has been very helpful and explained things very clearly. It has to be said, Project Solar have had exceptional customer service. I have had call after call updating me with where we're at with X/Y/Z. The installers came on site and within as hour Project Solar had called asking if everything was ok and if I had any questions. Same again the day after installation where they called to make sure I was happy with the work and the setup. It has only been four days since it was installed and despite the generally abysmal weather I have been generating a really good amount of power to the point my battery charged and its already been exporting back to the grid. It is very weird seeing my electricity costs only being a few pence for the daily standing charge (you still have to pay that).

If you are still debating whether or not you want solar...you ultimately need to ask yourself why you want it. If, like me, you want free electricity (I do not have an electric car but it now is on the table) then you should absolutely go for it. The big deciding factor for me was looking at how much your electricity bill is, multiplying it by 20 years (the initial term of the loan) and realising for less than half that you can have Solar installed by professionals who have the experience to give you confidence in what you're committing to. If you go down the finance route, like me, then you agree to the loan and instantly save all outgoings for electricity costs, then anything generated you use to overpay the loan to reduce the term.

Do not purchase Solar if you want to make money, it is extremely unpredictable and a lot depends on weather, battery capacity and how much the DNO will allow you to export back. The price is also not guaranteed forever.

Team of two have been very professional and helpful. Amazing was how fast they fit everything! Recommend

I had a great experience with Project Solar from start to finish.

The whole process was smooth, well organised, and professionally handled. The team explained everything clearly and made the installation straightforward and stress-free.

The system is working very well and I am really happy with the results.
