Bad experience with Freya’s master class for procreate…
I bought the master class for procreate and started the course. The platform is overwhelming and you easily get lost. There are many explanations that are convoluted and more complex than necessary. I was frustrated and decided to try other platforms. Turns out there are many others that provide a simpler solution. I asked for a refund in repeated emails. I have not heard anything back and it’s been a week!

The website it’s very confusing. The offers made are confusing if you don’t read the fine print, which they know you won’t you end up with things that you did not want to buy. Good Procreate Courses with Brushes etc.
I purchased Freya’s Procreate Masterclass Vol 1 and have bought a few courses and brush sets since. Absolutely no complaints from me, her videos are clear and concise with no fluff, brushes are excellent, and I can now confidently use Procreate and have added a few new art techniques to my existing skills. Waste of money
Update of original review. I was not delighted with this course and eventually gave it up as a waste of money.
Early on, I had a very difficult time on the support side. (positive reviews on support were one of the reasons why I went with
ALL my lessons in The Masterclass course had Arabic subtitles on them, which I was completely unable to turn off! I managed to find where, set the subtitles to none - yet there they were on Every. Single. Lesson.
At one point, they went to Polish. Then back to Arabic!
I wrote a request for help, using the program. It took
Nearly 3 days before I got a response (big time difference) which clearly hadn’t read my email, because it just explainedhow to change the subtitle language. Grr.
Lacking help from that quarter, I joined the FB group And did eventually get a suggestion to try a different browser as well as clear caches. The latter made no difference, but a different browser did (should have thought of that).
I can now watch the classes via Safari, but not Chrome. (And yes, I keep my apps up to date).
In the meantime, the email support person suggested I try the courses on a PC ‘to give us more information’. Not helpful at all. PRocreate is for iPads, people.
A number of other people in the FB group had the same problem with subtitles, so it clearly isn’t an isolated incident.
Having finally solved that issue, I moved on to the lessons. Hmm. The lessons are overly long because Freya uses the “describe every single detail on the screen even when it is clearly labelled”.
I found it excruciatingly long-winded to sit through and frankly boring. I gave up.

We understand your concern regarding the subtitles and have responded to your email as well as your Facebook post. We sent you a video on how it looks like from our end. We have requested more information from you since we are unable to replicate the issue. We also suggested that you check the browser's caching, as well as whether the browser and iPad OS are up to date. Having it work on Safari and not on Chrome seems to be a browser issue. We suggest trying it on a computer, as it will be easier to follow along if you can use the full screen of your iPad for Procreate. However, this is not a requirement.
We await the information requested in the FB comment and the short video so we can investigate further. Thank you!

I will not give a one star because…
I will not give a one star because there is useful information in there, with that being said…I do digital quality control for businesses to prevent them from damaging reviews. What I find is there are too many hands in the pot. Just when you get comfortable there is another voice over actress with a new accent to decipher. Same with mods in the Facebook group. The most damaging issue is that people are upset over the Masterclass Volume II. That should have been titled something else because people feel scammed even though she states it is two separate skillsets. If that is the case then she should have chosen a separate name. I feel as if that was VERY misleading and upsetting.These courses are very pricey but you will learn if you apply yourself.

Newer courses are now using Freya’s voice as most of our members prefer to have Freya’s voice for the lessons. However, we can’t change the older videos, as it would take a significant amount of time to update all the voiceovers. We also apologize for the confusion surrounding Masterclass Volume 2. We decided to use Masterclass Vol 2 as the course name so members will know it’s related to the older course which is the Masterclass Vol 1 as the goal of Vol 2 is a natural progression from fundamentals to exploring your style. We want to clarify that the Vol 2 isn’t an update to Vol 1 as it’s a completely different course with new content of 25+hrs. However, we will take your feedback into consideration when reviewing our course naming and structure to ensure clarity and transparency for all participants.

I haven't even finished the master…
I haven't even finished the master class courses yet but with each lesson I learn a lot. At first I didn't really feel like I was learning anything until I got to the practical knowledge application and realized I had learned much more than I thought. Instructions not clear
Instructions not clear. I will not recommend .My Rs12000 gone down the drain
When I gave a genuine feedback, I receive email from trust pilot to edit review or it will be taken off.. this is absurd . I mean they want only positive reviews. This will be so misleading. I don’t want anyone else to lose their money like me, having invested in something which is not worth the price.
Edited - I don’t know how to access the reply button hence editing. The speed of the classes is too fast. The instructions are not very clear. These classes are made for someone who is a pro at procreate. I feel it should have been advertised as such that only people proficient with procreate should join. It would have saved me my money . The files are not downloading on ipadpro. It says it has to be done on a computer. So now they expect me to buy a computer

Even OAP’s can learn art with this course!
The Procreate Masterclass has helped me publish my first ‘art’ book by speeding up my learning curve. Freya’s teaching style is comprehensive and with the step by step videos I can rewind and go over things as often as I want as at 70 I’m a slower learner!
