Great organization with very useful tools for team building as well as project management.

My experience with the Project Management Institute has been extremely positive. I recently completed the PMP® certification process and found the experience challenging, structured, and professionally rewarding. The preparation strengthened my understanding of project leadership, stakeholder engagement, risk management, Agile practices, and delivering business value. The certification process required significant commitment, but earning the PMP® made that effort worthwhile. I appreciate the global recognition and professional standards PMI brings to the project management profession, and I look forward to continuing my professional development as a PMP® credential holder.

PMI is all about making money, so some of the website is not transparent. PMBOK 8 is not a useful reference book, boring to read, and has confusing things (eg configuration management has two meanings). There are many 35 hour courses out there with low quality that may not cover the exam well. Pmp Study Hall mock exams are not realistic to the real exam. It is full of subtle Expert questions with dubious or provably incorrect answers.

My overall experience was great. I purchased the practice questions and it helped me understand how the questions would be asked. I also attended courses on Udemy that was really great.
Application process was easy. I did my application before it changed and it was a bit different but easy when you know how to put your projects in place.

I really disliked receiving one of my two breaks 10 questions into the exam. I wasn’t in my chair for 15 minutes. My next and only break came at question 95. You do the math.. I had to come back and answer 85 questions more questions without a break. This does not make any sense and made the experience painful.

The test format was more or less what I expected, but what I didn't expect was taking a break after my first 10 questions during a 180 question test. Seemed very odd to get up after I just sat down.

I also had to remove my "watch" which would normally be understandable, but what I was wearing was a WHOOP which has no screen at all. The device just measures biometrics. I had no problem in removing it, but it seemed irrelevant and I'm unaware how devices like that make it easier for someone to chat.

What made my experience great is the study hall, which reflects the actual exam environment and helped me in managing my time. However, the exam time is very tight. It is very hard to manage or to review with 180 questions.

It great to have been able to write and pass my PMP. It gives you a different confidence and perspective about life and I will definitely recommend it.

The PMP certification process was challenging but very valuable. The exam requires strong preparation and a good understanding of real-world project management situations. PMI provides a well-structured certification process and useful resources. Overall, it was a great learning experience and a meaningful achievement in my professional career.

The biggest issue I faced was the certification exam. I had 10 Case Study questions when I started the exam and then it immediately went into the first 10-minute break. Then I had 85 questions before my next break. I was really straining and draining on my brain. I hope the exam breaks will be fixed/adjusted for future candidates, because it was absolutely brutal to do two separate blocks of 85 questions.

The website is easy to navigate and testing was very accessible.

From time of purchase of the exam to completion the emails were informative on how to register and what to expect on test day in terms of what you need, allowed and system checks to ensure testing from home could be accommodating. This intern let me test when I was ready and not have to wait for a facility to be open for me to test.

As long as you have done the job, and do some relative study, the test is self-explanatory.

It’s becoming more subjective bc some answers are very situational

The PMI study hall was pivotal in my exam success and the "questions of the day" kept me in the PMP mindset daily.
