They automatically enrolled me in a subscription after I paid €2 once for a diagnostic. I just realized I’ve been charged €12 per month for the past four months, and I have no way to cancel it because I don’t even have an account! They claim that none of my email addresses are linked to their website. I want a refund and to cancel this scam subscription!
I was worrying to have to go see a doctor... which i don't like !
This questionnaire was so complete, much more then all doctor's have seen in the passed.
Initial Experience: After spending about 30 min answering the 50 diagnostic questions I was highly skeptical required to provide my credit card and paying ~$5 CAD for a diagnosis. I guess that I didn't really pay attention when searching Google for shoulder pain and coming across the Physiocheck landing page; I just started the diagnostic process. However, I liked the questions and was curious about what the result would be so was looking for reasons to proceed.
Due Diligence: I Googled physiocheck.ca reviews and found this Trustpilot site, read all of the reviews and agreed with the frustration expressed about spending time without knowing the costs. However, the two positive reviews gave me hope that perhaps it wasn't a true scam but just a misleading sales tactic. I've also had enough physio experiences to know that $5 for a one week trial or even a $17/mo subscription would be very inexpensive compared to a single visit to a physio where you are going to do very similar diagnostic exercises/tests. So I figured if the outcome is a valid diagnosis with valid exercises it would be worth trying at least. So to me the only risk was the site being a credit card scam and I didn't find anything that would point to that.
Decision: I took the risk and signed up for 7 day trial. Through the signup process my confidence increased that it was a legitimate service because it used my bank's highest credit card security authentication tools. So I am confident that this is NOT a credit card scam at least. lol
Questionnaire Results/Diagnosis: In terms of the diagnosis it provided six possible issues ranked in probability from 6/8 to 2/8. Only one issue was ranked as 6/8 probability and it made sense to me that it may be the root cause of my symptoms. Three were ranked 4/8 and two 2/8 probability. One of the three that were 4/8 I had actually experienced in a previous injury so did not believe it was correct given the difference in symptoms. All others seemed unlikely. So I'm comfortable stating here that I think that it did a pretty good job with the diagnosis.
Treatment: As I mentioned above I've had previous injuries that required treatment. In all three of those experiences the most valuable part of the treatment was the take home exercises. Usually using online instructions and videos picked by the physio. So I was not surprised that once I chose the 6/8 issue diagnosis that I received a treatment plan made up of exercises with online instructions and videos. It appears as though it gives you a daily plan that you follow and record your progress. I think perhaps you may also do additional questionnaires to see if the treatment is working. Since this is only Day 1 I can't really say anything more, but I'm going to give it a try for at least the one week trial and I'll report my findings back here; assuming I can edit my experience.
WARNING!!!! SCAM!!!! Greasy scumbag behind this company, take your money anywhere but here
Scam. I paid for a "diagnosis". Somehow they set up a recurring bill via paypal that I did not authorise.
It was easy to follow. The questions were specific and detailed, and the videos helped.
They have you do all the work without saying you won't get any value unless you pay. Shady and terrible practice. Unless you are willing to pay, don't waste your time. To be clear, I know they need to make money, just be upfront about it.
I checked for a diagnosis on their website and it charged me around 1.5 dollars without any signs of subscription. Now, I found out they have been charging me 16.99 dollars for four months for a subscription that I didn't know even existed. I have never received any invoices, subscription approval emails, or any other emails except the confirmation of my account opening.
This is fraudulent behavior and I will follow it until I get my full refund!
Just tell people there’s a charge before they sit wasting their time completing your lengthy questionnaire
Nothing worse than cheap tactics to take people’s money. I’d be more inclined to sign up if you showed were transparent about what you offer and what price from the start
It’s a bait scam. Avoid! It uses decent graphics and what appears to be intelligent probing questions to draw you into completing a very lengthy survey regarding your symptoms. At the end you have pay a substantial amount to subscribe and get your results, which “they” claim to be highly accurate. Stay away!
I don't know how long ago the other reviewers had their experience. But in my case the email that introduced me to physiocheck indicated right up front that it was a $1.99 charge to go through the test and get the initial results. I found it useful. Even though I already have an orthopedic surgeon and various doctors and access to physical therapy. But It did open my eyes to some of the other issues in my hands and knees. It was certainly worth $1.99 and I sure will cancel it at the end of my trial before they start charging me $12.99 a month.
I'm updating my review because once I reviewed my results they mentioned the vastus medialis oblique (VMO) quadricep and the importance of strengthening it. So I found numerous videos on YouTube that have been very helpful and given me more detail.
waste of time. preying on people in pain. what a scam. fill out a lengthy time consuming survey while suffering only to then be asked for your c/c information to pay them before you've rec'd any sort of help or diagnosis. Don't waste your energy, they're just after your money. Much better off to go to a real physiotherapist. Why did i expect anything else? I call shenanigans.
Bait and bill scam. No communication to user that there is a fee until AFTER you finish a long survey that gets your hopes up. Poor untrustworthy first impresarios for a purported healthcare website. Was skeptical but was still going to drop the $ for the report. Luckily decided to check reviews first. Reviews of the British Physiocheck site say very poor diagnostics, little or no
Useful info and you have to pay $50 or $60 more for a treatment plan if it’s exercise you need. Otherwise they just tell you to consult a physio or doctor.
