Insured our dog for several years but only had to make a claim just prior to her sudden death. The claim was handled very efficiently. As with all insurance you get what you pay for and you need to read the documentation.

Always had a good experience with this company. Previous claims always paid out in full, minus the excess and quick to process. Customer service has always been very helpful and easy to get through to. Just insured 2 more of our cats with them as I find them to be the best price and premiums have come down over the years. Only thing I wish is that our vets could directly sort out pay with them instead of us having to pay first and then claiming the money back, but other than that been very smooth experience.

This company only want your money, I made a claim following a short illness of our dog and subsequent death.
We then received a renewal notice for a further year of insurance, (THE DOG HAD PASSED AWAY) absolutely heartless action.
We then were informed that they would pay only £69.00 of a £750.00 claim, stating that the claim was two separate illnesses, and the excess was due twice, again the claims department was not aware the dog had passed, while discussing the claim !!
When challenged about the death payout we were told that this did not apply after the dogs 8th birthday, (she was 13)
However for the past 5 years they have happily taken our money.
over the years we have paid insurance to this company we have spent almost 4k and they are willing to pay £69.00,
Insurance is supposed to cover the vets fees in the unexpected event of illness or death, NOT THIS COMPANY !!
this company is despicable and heartless and absolute scammers.
Please don't get caught as we have.

It’s a shame this company has such bad reviews as I had a great experience with them. Paid out every time for my old pooch who sadly had a lot of health problems (allergies etc).
Dealt with the vets directly and even paid out when we missed a payment one month.
Speaking from personal experience this company was great and supported us well

We were aware of the £5000 claim limit, we were putting in a claim over this amount. BUT, the 25% excess is taken off the £5000, meaning in practice the claim limit it £3750.

Please make sure you read the small print. This company have been taking my money for 15 years. However, when you claim they point out that dogs and cats over 8 years are not covered for illness resulting in death. My little cat had a liver tumour and I put him to sleep rather than let him suffer. He was 15. I claimed and they have refused to pay for any of the treatment prior to his death. It seems that if I’d allowed him to suffer they would have paid some of it. I’m appalled. I have just taken on 2 rescue cats and will NOT be insuring them with this set of shysters

genuinely hope whoever leads your advertising department falls down the stairs and breaks something important you're absolutely disgusting

I must say I am well and truly impressed with our recent interactions with this insurance company! My dog became severely ill and was sent to a specialist veterinary hospital, the insurance paid there side within a reasonable amount of time and with no fuss which was such a weight of our shoulders in an already emotional and difficult situation! My dog had to have further tests a month later in regards to this, I thought we didn't have much left on the policy but after a phone conversation from a lovely member of the team (Chloe Hayton) I was assured my boy is actually covered for much more as his amount renews each month!!! This is such a relief and I am so grateful to Chloe for making me aware of this information!! She was so helpful, friendly and informative which is exactly what you need especially in these situations! Very happy, thank you! My boy is back home and well! 🥰🐶💙

After going through a traumatic time with our girl, and having to unfortunately make the heartbreaking decision to have her put to sleep, we placed a claim through for her medical expenses, as we were ASSURED by the insurance company this would be fully taken care of. Received a letter confirmation today with the settlement figure of £82 from a £500 bill.........16% of the full bill! The whole ordeal was devastating enough but to receive this was an absolute p!ss take!! This is NOT why I took out insurance at all, and just shows that there is absolutely no compassion where money is concerned!!! Needless to say, I have cancelled all policies so I never have to deal with these sh!!!1t shows again!!!

Submitted numerous claims which the vet said should have been paid out, but they never paid out a penny. Their argument was always that the claim related to "Behavioral changes". If pets are ill, they behave differently, so this excluded all claims.

Don't expect a payout from this company and find one with better reviews.

Absolute scam artists. Monthly fee went from £22 to over £60 a month! I’d be ashamed to work for a company like this.

Received an unsolicited email with "alleged policy documents" I have never had any contact with this company. So either they are purchasing details from other companies or scammers are using there brand name to try and scam potential customers. Either way I will be avoiding all future contact

I would never use this pet-insurance.co.uk again. Premiums have gone up and up and so many exclusions within the policy. I obviously didn't spend enough time reading the small print. Expensive lesson learned made worse by being at a very distressing time.

They were amazing when we found out that our cats hip was so broken with arthritis that he needed a hip replacement. At the same time we also found out he has plasma cell pododermatitis (pillow foot) we got all claims sorted with no questions asked. We have 6 cats insured with them since 2014. Never had a problem, always fast when dealing with claims. Highly recommend them

I have just finished talking with Emily Hall and she could not have been more helpful. She explained the process of adding an additional pet policy and also translated the 'offical terminology' into English.
it was a pleasue to talk to her - professional, knowledgeable and very approachable.

Just received my renewal letter from this company and I was shocked to read that the premium had gone up by over 50%! I have never made a claim and my dog is only 3 1/2 years old despite being with them for 2 years. No explanation given in the covering letter. I did speak to a very professional customer service person who reduced the premium by 10%. It's still over £120.00 more this year. I'm not impressed and will shop around. Household bills are a pressure on all at the moment and I think this is a case of 'jumping on the bandwagon'

50% hike in annual premium for an 8 year old fit as a fiddle cockapoo. Outrageous. They are rip-off merchants.

Wouldn’t even leave 1 star to be honest. Insured my elderly cat with them who recently had to be put down. I asked how I go about making a claim, if I could and also what death entitlement was as id read in the policy that you get a small amount (the amount you paid for them) which we wanted to put towards a nice plant for a memorial for him.
All we got back was a cold hearted email saying they’d cancelled our policy and refunded the last charge. Didn’t answer any of my questions and couldn’t even be bothered to say sorry for our loss. I wouldn’t use them again as clearly they only care about the money they take each month, not the actual pets/customers.

I have my 3 dogs insured for past 5 yrs went to claim on one of them vet bill will be £3000 dog is insured for £5000 I asked what my excess was and was told £105 and also I need to pay 25% of the vet bill I was not amused I told her no chance why would I pay £25%of the bill when I'm insured for £5000 not a chance why would u take out insurance if they r no fitting the bill over 5yrs I've paid £3600 to them scammers I have complained and now I'm on the the financial omnibus Fekin no getting away with this
