Peru Treks is a local tour operator based in Cusco, the heart of the ancient Inca culture. We are a specialist Inca Trail and alternative hikes to Machu Picchu. We concentrate our efforts on operating the Inca Trail, it could be the classic inca trail 4days and 3nights or the Imperial Inca Trail 5days and 4 nights and the short inca trail 2days and 1night and the other trekkings. We offer a lot of services like Full day tours and Alternative hike to Machupicchu, but what we do offer we do it well and by giving our guides, cooks and porters consistent work all year round we are able to keep an experienced team together and therefore attract some of the best staff available, we can offer unbeatable prices with no compromise on quality.

Hiking the Inca Trail with Peru Treks…
Hiking the Inca Trail with Peru Treks was a great experience! If you want to hike the Inca trail, I’d highly recommend booking with them, as they are a local company and provide great service. Our guide, Juan Carlos, was very knowledgeable, patient, and had many years of experience, making us feel very secure in the trek. I booked with one friend and we were the only people in the tour so we were able to go to many of the sites before larger groups and see sites with very few people. We were under the impression that we would only be carrying water, but we were told we would be carrying our clothes as well. This wasn’t a problem, as the porters carried our sleeping bags and mattresses, food, and tents, but could be something good to know if you were expecting something different. All in all this was a great experience, with incredible meals, beautiful views, and very good communication along the way!

Classic Inca 4D/3N
We booked the Classic Inca 4D/3N with Peru Treks. They were amazing! Our main guide, Darwin, was very responsive and great at communicating and clarifying how the trek would go. Our trail guide, Dario, was phenomenal as well! He was obviously very experienced and well-prepared, and extremely knowledgeable about the Inca Trail and the history of the archaeological sites. He was also quite the photographer and videographer for us! The food was one phenomenal! Kudos to our chef, Wilfredo! Facilities were comfortable, and we were well take care of. Thank you so much again, we will definitely be recommending Peru Treks to everyone!

Peru Treks was awesome to work with
Peru Treks was awesome to work with! From the time I started working to book the trail (in the fall of 2022), to the final day of the trek--every detail was cared for. The trek itself was awesome. Our guide Juan Carlos was awesome! He is full of so much knowledge, and was very encouraging of all of us--especially my daughter who struggled a bit on the trail. The porters were so professional and continued to amaze me in their strength and speed on the trail! The food was also amazing! Cheers to our amazing chef! I have worked with Peru Treks twice now (once in 2016 and again in 2023). Highly recommend them!

Our experience with Peru Treks was amazing! Our guide, Juan Carlos, was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and had a wonderful sense of humor.
