Incredible once in a lifetime LeJog
My mate and I decided we were going to celebrate our 50th by riding Lands End to John O'Groats. We considered riding unassisted with panniers. Dismissed that as we wanted to enjoy the experience and wanted a bubble of support. So, we wanted a company...
We found Pedal Britain and liked their approach. We looked around and came back to PB. I thought in preparing, the price was a bit steep but concluded "it's a one off, it will ne worth it". So deposits were paid.
I write this now on the train back having just completed our odyssey. 5* doesn't come close. The route was amazing, we could have done less miles but we would have missed some beautiful parts of our country. The first night saw an eclectic group of people have a fairly awkward getting to know each other meal. From then on, this group came together and through shared joys and shared challenges, camaraderie and friendships were made. The organisation was superb. The lunch and brew stops outstanding.
As I reflect now, I wouldn't have done it any other way. Worth every penny. I don't think we would have done it any cheaper doing it ourselves and we wouldn't have known where all those little gems were along the way.
I wholeheartedly recommend Pedal Britain to anyone else planning their big adventure. Top tips:
1) Get a comfy seat for your bike
2) Train. Successive days of riding take their toll. You'll get fitter as you go but be in good condition before you start.
3) Pack Sudacrem. Lots of Sudacrem!
Lejog May 2025 - Great time
The organisation of this trip from the Pedal Britain is brilliant with great guides, Les & Jamie who are helpful & very knowledgeable.
LEJOG May 2025
Just finished Lands End to John O’Groats with Pedal Britain. Such a great experience from start to finish. Good communications with Darren from booking up to the start of the tour. During the tour, our two guides, Les and Jamie, were brilliant. The kept us fed and watered with everything we needed for cycling such a long way, and also lots of support. We stayed in some great places and had some lovely lunches and evening meals. Can’t fault the tour at all and would recommend Pedal Britain to anyone thinking of doing a cycling tour.
A memorable riding adventure
Absolutely a fantastic adventure. Well organised, with the two Guides Les & James providing great support , briefings and the legendary brewe stops to support the lands end to John O,Groats cycle challenge. An excellent organisation and made even more fantastic meeting like minded people who added to a memorable adventure.
The whole trip was far better than I…
The whole trip was far better than I expected, with a fantastic bunch of people. The guides were absolutely brilliant, Jamie and Les were so helpful and fun to be around. I will miss the brew stops on my next solo ride , never have I eaten so much food !! I would certainly recommend the company to my friends.

Tour De Yorkshire Dales…
Just back from my 2nd Tour De Yorkshire Dales with Pedal Britain. A top tour, great food, fantastic scenery. Great support throughout, an excellent experience with knowledgeable guides, I would thoroughly recommend Pedal Britain
Fantastic company
Fantastic company, wonderful support on an epic journey! A scenic and well planned route with some great hotels. A once in a life time trip.
Great company…
Riding LEJOG with Pedal Britian was made much easier with the excellent guides, Jamie and Rad, who allowed everyone to ride at a pace suitable for them, whilst still managing to include everyone and ride with all at some point.
Route plans broken down into easily manageable sections with great lunch stops and brew stops in between.
A long and challenging ride made doable and fun, despite the British weather and dreadful Scottish roads.
Exceptional LEJOG experience - highly recommended
Myself and my wife have just completed LEJOG with Pedal Britain. It was an incredible experience and one we will never forget. Pedal Britain are superb - every detail is managed for you so all you have to do is, well, pedal. The organisation, transportation, "brew stops", route are all spot-on and everything we had hoped for. Jamie and Rad were our guides and they were simply exceptional - motivational, entertaining, and kept spirits high when the weather didn't want to play! We would 100% recommend this company and will be booking again. Thank you!
Just finished Tour of Britain
Just finished Tour of Britain. Amazing experience. Lots of riding and climbing so come prepared… but totally doable! Jaime and Rad were excellent hosts on the 14 day ride. Amazing views along the route. Highly recommend signing up and doing this amazing ride!
Lejog! Just do it ❤️
I rode Lejog with Pedal Britain in July. A great experience from booking to the finish. A stunning route, nice places to stay, fab and imaginative lunch and Brew stops. Thanks to Jamie and Les for managing us all supremely and going the extra mile. I’ve just booked for France next year!
Can't fault my Lejog experience or praise it enough
Excellent organisation and atmosphere from the first welcome in Penzance to the celebratory meal in Inverness.
Wales End 2 End
What an amazing experience.
The 3 days were tough with LOTS of climbing but Darren and Ade made sure all we had to think about was pedalling. The organisation was first class and if you are considering a Pedal Britain tour, just book, you won't regret it!
Definitely the best experience I have had on my bike.
Wonderful route
Great organisation, lovely route with stunning views and well stocked brew stops along the way. Friendly group of people with some great characters! Would highly recommend Pedal Britain and hoping to go on one of their other trips next year!
Great trip leaders
Generally good route, great trip leaders, good food, good overall value. Jamie and Les were group leaders that went above and beyond expectations and went out of their way to provide little things of assistance for you if you were having any issues. The morning briefing could sometimes be too much information and might be improved by limiting to three main points each day.
Ireland End to End - Fabulous and challenging!
I would have been lost and hungry without Mick and Paul (our cycle guide & van driver). The brew stops, encouragement and organization was excellent. Stunning scenery - castles, cliff tops, beaches, national parks and lots of ups and downs. Thank you Pedal Britain for a great tour.
LEJOG in June/July with Pedal Britain
Road LEJOG in June with Pedal Britain. It was superbly organized and a fantastic experience. The guides Mick and Radu were experienced and professional and onhand to help, encourage and guide you through everyday, they were great fun too. The only thing they couldn't sort was the weather. I would strongly advise you make room for good quality waterproof jackets and overshoes, (we had 5 days of rain in July) in your baggage, hopefully you won't need them but you'll thank me if you do. Overall a great experience and achievement
A Bucket-List Experience made even better by Pedal Britain
Recently completed LEJOG with Pedal Britain. This was a bucket-list experience for me and I am still buzzing.
Although it can be done solo/unsupported, I decided last year that I wanted to do it through a company with a support vehicle.
Pedal Britain were amazing from the time I first booked right through to the end. Darren handled all the initial booking/organisation and was very helpful from the off. Between us we agreed a place I could meet so they could get my bike down to Penzance for the start, so I only had to get myself and luggage down to them.
I was very apprehensive when I got down to Penzance, did I do enough training? Have I packed enough/too much etc., but I soon discovered that is quite normal and all 16 of us in the group pretty much felt same thing. I need not have worried, straight away Mick (our support van driver) and Radu (guide cyclist) made us all feel at ease.
I packed about 10kg of fuel, bars, gels, powder etc., that I would ‘normally’ use on long single rides solo. I did not use ANY of it! After a hearty breakfast every day, it was only about 1-2 hrs before we had our morning ‘Brew Stop’. These are legendary and Mick would provide Tea, Coffee, Juice, cakes, pastries, biscuits, crisps, choc bars etc – more than enough to keep your belly full and ready for the next couple hours riding to Lunch. You only ever really needed water in your bottle – and those were easily filled at breaks. On longer days we had a ‘brew stop’ in afternoon too. The riding itself was at a comfortable pace most of the time, generally broke into smaller groups of 3, 4, or 5 on the road (better for safety) and plenty of time for conversation and of course fun and banter.
The accommodation Pedal Britain organised was always fabulous with everything you needed (good shower being No 1 for me) and comfortable beds.
The whole group got on like a house on fire. I don’t know if I was lucky or this was the norm, but we really did feel like a ‘family’ (and that includes Mick and Radu). Mick and Radu as well as organising everything day to day were always on hand for mechanicals and punctures etc.
The routes that Pedal Britain chose were mostly quiet country roads and lanes, with some bike paths and we only ended up on busy A-roads when it was unavoidable. If you want to see the beauty of the British countryside this is the only way to do it. Only thing I would say is prepare for any weather. We were in July and it was wet and cold in parts of Scotland – so bring your warm jacket, winter bibs, leg warmers and waterproof overshoes just on case! Pedal Britain cannot do anything about the weather in a British summer, but even if you have days of rain (we had a lot) it never dampened our spirits and we all had a great time.
Pedal Britain do other tours to France, Portugal, Ireland and Italy outside UK and some of our group are considering doing another next year, if finances permit.
I could go on and on how great this trip was and how great the folks at Pedal Britain are, but for now, if you are considering using them, don’t hesitate, Pedal Britain will look after you from beginning to end and you have an experience of a lifetime. We all still keep in contact via WhatsApp and am sure I made friends for life too. Can’t wait for next trip.
Wales End to End
Just completed the 3 days of Wales End to End.
Everything was very well organised with clear guidance for when and where we needed to ride.
There were also lots of little touches to make things special. That included ensuring my gluten free dietary requirements were completely covered.
The community spirit was so evident from helping a cyclist not on our trip with lunch. Also that a previous client took time out of his day just to come and give us encouragement up one of the mountains (of which there are a few!)
Would definitely record
