My cat has just been diagnosed with Chronic kidney disease which came as a shock but vet Gill from the PDSA explained everything to help with my cats condition and also advised if I needed further assistance to just get in touch immediately. Thank you

Very good service

Been a client for years. Staff show incredible patience, despite manning an extremely busy hospital (Stoke). They and services are incredible! On this occasion I had to use on-line triage system - brilliant and saved quite a long journey and stress for my poorly dog.

Hi firstly I’d a liked to have to have spoken to someone regarding registration of my dog as I wasn’t sure if ours were still registered on the system but had to do it online as dog had an accident while we were on holiday at 10 am thank goodness for the Pdsa where I was as my dogs paw wouldn’t stop bleeding it was automated service eventually I called a different number n spoke to someone as it was taking so long to find out if she was registered they phoned me bk as they kept checking their system but nothing was showing up so she kept checking then phoned me bk at 4pm saying we close at 5 pm can u make it down for that we will see her as I’ve just registered her as Emergancy here as she was worried about the bleeding as it wouldn’t stop so was myself and my hubby so we done that & they had to sedate her to look at the paw then try n sort it for her the whole small vet room floor was covered in blood even the walls had splatters on it too her paw was some mess but the amazing surgeon Rachael in the Pdsa Blackpool sorted it by gluing it and stitching it n tying off a vein too we took her bk for check up two days later Thursday 9/4/2026 and wawl just wawl what an amazing job the surgeon did it’s held well looks as if nothings wrong with it apart from where they shaved fur from leg and also the paw looks perfect too we are 1000% grateful for all that they do A donation was given plus an email was sent to myself saying we weren’t registered but the lady in the vet checked and says yes your registered it’s came through I double checked yesterday and we are registered at home till next year we can’t thank them enough for all the work they do I have also up to date paperwork which I will continue to always carry with me on holidays thank you so much for everything you do for sick animals and for fixing our girls paw for us if I had more money I’d a gave you the lot we are extremely grateful to you all

My dog is my life she keeps me going and with vets being out of my price range the pdsa are a godsend I no if my dog is ill or has had an accident or I'm worried about her I no that the pdsa will do all they can to help

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would, the sick twisted people had refused to see my dog after we found a lump on his leg in the morning and he was struggling to put full weight on it but allegedly being out of the district (all of 4 miles) they refused treatment how can you possibly claim to be a charity to help pets when pets in need don’t get saw to? A lady called Anna was immensely Rude and very pedantic to myself and this continued when I phoned the practice up to make a formal complaint about the treatment and lack of we and my pet had received! These are nothing but Con artists claiming to care for pets in need but really they are rude individuals who are willing to witness a dog Suffer. Avoid at all costs!!!!

I have,always had a very positive response from the pdsa but today I felt they were rather dismissive. On 10/3 my dog was
severely kicked in the stomach and kidneys by a man whilst we were out walking. He was seen immediately by the team at Complain Veterinary Hospital and the treatment was, as usual, quick and excellent. I was concerned today that my dog was experiencing an abdominal or spleen issue as a result of the assault. I was advised as he had been eating up until yesterday his condition was not life threatening. The Responder was extremely curt and put the phone down before advising me Jason could not be seen today. I am sure the PDSA gets some unwelcome callers whilst emergencies go unchecked. I am not saying Jason is an emergency but as a responsible pet owner I am concerned with his body language today. However, I will do as instructed and call tomorrow at 8:00 am. Thank you. Carol Cain

Lovely man , polite & patient.

After seeing 2 other vets about my older cats decline and being told "He's just getting old" I took him to pdsa and they diagnosed hyperthyroidism almost immediately. Saved his life. I've been going to them ever since. The vets are knowledgeable and kind and great with my animals! They put up with a lot out there and are constantly busy but are always professional and lovely. When my old cat eventually had to cross the rainbow bridge they were wonderful. I will always recommend these hard working vets and staff.

Early days however can’t fault you so far. Everyone seems lovely and compassionate ☺️

Vet recommended a certain food for my cat. I was told I would need 2 weeks of supply. They charged me over £40 for 14 sachets. My cat refused to eat the food and I took it back to Pdsa (same packet they had sold it to me) they refused to accept it as “it had left the building” what a rip off- they KNEW that it had not been used/opened. Will not trust their advice again

Wonderful staff on reception, plus great team of vets ,They truly saved my cat yesterday while operation as his blood pressure dropped during surgery, They basically saved his life ,Gave great advice and great help and support for me and my cat ,They are truly earth angels to animals in need of help ,amazing peaple

i've had good communications with PDSA and they have helped my dog Riva to pay for her investigation treatment to which i am very grateful. I would definitely recommend PDSA to anyone wanting a pet insurance they can trust.
