This is a great app building platform. Easy to use and they are very helpful if you do need any assistance.

About a year ago, I had the idea of creating an app for my business, a platform where I can connect with audience and provide support on a daily basis. I did my market research and concluded that Passion.io was a reliable platform based on the reviews so I bought into the promises of the company and jumped in excitedly. I found Dan to be down-to-earth and was won over by his webinar. Then in less than three months later, when I saw the Black Friday offer, I doubled my investment in Passion.io because my main aim was to list my app in the App Store.

The platform was easy to use and within one week of starting, I've managed to create and launch my web-based app. But due to other business commitments, it was only about 4 months later that I finally went through the tedious process of listing my app on Apple App Store.

That entire process took about 6 weeks and it was my first glimpse at poor tech support. Listing the app was a tech-intensive process. Detailed documentation was provided but it was still challenging and time consuming.

I followed all instructions to the best of my abilities, even abiding by the slated deadlines like sending in tech support forms within 24 hours of submitting the required documents so that Passion.io's staff could help me with the backend processes of listing my app.

Even though I complied with the 24 hours deadline, by the time the tech support got to my application documents, certain Apple Developer admin invitations have already expired and I had to repeat the process. This happened at least twice.

Finally, in April 2026, my app was listed in the Apple Store! I was really excited but upon downloading my app, I realised push notifications weren't working. Customer support verified that push notifications for Community Chat are supposed to work and assured me that they would get tech support to look into it.

When I went to Passion.io's creators community, I realised my situation wasn't an isolated case.

After dozens of email correspondences, asking questions, getting assurances, venting my frustration over the huge delays, 4 months later...the issue is STILL NOT FIXED.

In all fairness, Nellie, the customer support staff has been the most patient and kind. But I simply cannot understand how a tech issue with a supposed basic app feature cannot be fixed even after 4 months.

Recently, the CEO announced that new features would be rolled out on the platform as they had spent the last couple of months "rebuilding the platform in a way that your business will need for the next five years, not the next five months."

I simply cannot bring myself to be interested in new features when the basic features that I had signed up for are not working as they should.

Two weeks ago, I finally concluded that the standard of tech support is beyond ridiculous after successfully vibe-coding my own apps and managing to get push notifications working for my apps which have community chats, when announcements are posted, when someone gets tagged in a post, and when someone replies to posts in the community.

I was disappointed to hear of Dan's departure from the company earlier this year, and the months that followed just continued to erode the confidence I had in Passion.

Best app building ever! I have tried a lot in my 63 years and this is the real deal! I lost myself in life for 2 years trying to build this then ... LIFE happened and I bombed! But they were always there to encourage me on the community and the team =) So here I am back after the third life break ... and WOW the
Support is also BANG on! every time !
I am learning at my mature age all the cool tech stuff which isn't so tech once you hear how Dan and his team walk you through it ... so inspiring =) Product, service after sales, easy app use, great features ... one stop BANG ON!

The passion team are my allies. They are always there to lend a hand, take care of the tricky things with Apple and Google and I can't imagine doing this without them on my team!

Great and good service

I purchased the 90-day "Done For You" app-building program. During the sales process, I understood that the platform would support the type of dynamic app I wanted to build. Once implementation began, I learned the platform was much more suitable for static content, which did not meet my expectations for my business.

I also experienced canceled meetings, communication gaps, internal staffing changes, and significant delays. Although the company later offered an additional month of support, by that stage I had lost confidence in the process and requested a refund instead.

My refund request was denied, and my subsequent credit card dispute was unsuccessful. My annual subscription was later unilaterally canceled, leaving me without access to continue building the app.

This was my personal experience. I encourage prospective customers to carefully evaluate whether the platform's capabilities match their business needs and to read both positive and critical reviews before making a significant investment.

terrible too expensive, get AI to do it they got me for 2 years no money came back into my company , they are over selling this product you will have to spend over $10,000 and what has been so frustrating is I lost all of the contents i worked hard for

Passion.io has done an amazing job at creating a user-friendly platform that allows us as individual creators to share our content and experiences with people in a modern way. Thank you for creating more opportunities for content creators.

Kleny, Iwan and the whole team are so helpful. I wasn't tech savvy at all, and signed up for passion plus a few years ago before prices increased, so have all the features offered to the higher paying newer customers. I and have to say that the technical support, helpfulness and kindness of the team is worth their weight in gold. So grateful for this platform!

All the Dan videos were awesome - instilled so much confidence. The step by step process that actually worked - signed up my first cohort easily.. very easy and user friendly. Helped me to make a program I had been thinking about for 3 years. Really pleased with the results. My first cohort LOVED it!

Easy to use templates and outstanding customer service.

The platform is easy to use. The customer service is fast & spectacular. Not a million different people who you need to repeat the issue over and over again but I’ve been supported by Nellie the entire time so far. So far I really enjoy the experience.

I can't say enough about how my experience in already changing my life. The team is professional, and always ready to come to my aid when I have an issue. I'm looking forward to my future!

Passion.io’s customer service has been absolutely exceptional. Nellie has been so kind and helpful. I panicked a bit when my app wasn’t up to date. I’m not good with technology and it gives me a bit of anxiety. They made the process easy, went above and beyond to help me and also reassure me. This is an absolute scam. They took thousands of dollars out of my account without authorization and don't have customer service for you to call. I am a single mom who needed that money and have not been contacted back about any type of refund

You raised prices and put me out of the app business. A long standing client... and it cost me $4000.

Terrible - no one ever responds from support. I'm changing to another platform

My association with this company has lost me 12 months of my plans, and thousands of dollars. I decided to trust them, and what their salespeople said, and what I received caused me far more stress, than anything I've got to show for my investment - as a matter of fact, I could have got myself to exactly the same place, for free, in a weekend of concerted effort (hindsight is a wonderful thing). If you're considering paying for any of their 'specialised support' Don't. They'll leave you hanging for weeks trying to get an answer, but they still take your money 'as scheduled'. I'm not too proud to admit when I make a mistake, and this one was a doozy, and very costly. Dan is either an out and out liar, or he has lost touch with how the company is actually working because he's heady on success. Either way, it's the people that sign up and pay who suffer. If he genuinely cares, he needs to make some major amends for non-filled promises.

Sneaky false advertising. They ran an ad for their app that stated "60% OFF LIFETIME." Any reasonable person would take that to mean you get the app for a LIFETIME at one price. LIFETIME us NOT monthly or yearly.
At the end of one year (I had other priorities and hadn't got to it yet, as I took their offer to mean I paid $1,999 for LIFETIME access)—I received an email that stated I would be charged $297/month for access to the platform. Needless to say, I was shocked. And angered when I was told that the offer I paid for was for ONE YEAR of access, and the yearly renewal (at its 60% off price) would now apply: either another $1,999 or monthly at $297. While I was debating this with them, they continued to charge the $297/month (which was later refunded). I lost my original $1,999 because I wasn't able to begin using it. And if I HAD created an app, they were hosting it, so I would be stuck at $297/month if I wanted access to my app.

This is a total scam. Their policies are NOT based in honestly and integrity. I would NEVER recommend anyone use passion.io to create your app.
