Deciding to install a large solar panel and battery system is a big decision and large financial outlay. We obtained three quotes but decided to use P4 solar for their straightforward, honest and thorough approach. They also came highly recommended from a friend and we would have no hesitation to recommend them to anyone.
From initial scoping of the project to the final quote they were communicative and reassuring. On the day of installation I was sure the cold weather would delay the installation (5th Jan) however the team arrived promptly and were polite and respectful. They involved me in all the decisions and were tidy and efficient. Lastly when installed they also spent the time to educate us on how the system works and how to manage the app etc.

P4 were great from my initial query through to installation and beyond.

I asked them for a quote based on a recommendation from a friend and the fact that they are very local.

The survey went well and the clear info and lack of sales pressure sold me the system before I even had a price. But the price was also competitive. I got further quotes but none of the others got anywhere close to the initial service from P4.

I had lots of questions all of which were answered quickly. I also had to change install dates which again were sorted efficiently.

On the installation date the fitters were great. They arrived on time, were polite and courteous and kept noise to a minimum which was welcomed by me and my neighbours. The electrician also ran through the system and helped to set up the app.

Since my install the Great service has continued with info on changing tariff and the paperwork required to do this.

I would have no hesitation to recommend P4.

Living in a rural area without mains gas we rely on modern storage heaters to heat our home. We had been thinking about installing solar panels, both to offset our electricity bills and to do a small bit for the planet. P4 helped us at every stage throughout our solar journey. Fred patiently answered our many questions and helped us to design a system which was affordable and which will make a significant improvement to our home for years to come.

The installation was quick and efficient and the team were polite and tidy. The electrician explained the basics of how our system works and how to control the inverter and battery using the app. Follow-up was prompt and helpful and it is reassuring to know that help is on hand if needed in future. We have no hesitation in recommending P4 to anyone thinking about installing solar panels.

It all started with a great price then everything was taken care of and I was kept informed all the way through a great team of lads came exactly on time and fitted the system quick clean and tidy couldn’t be more pleased highly recommend.

Although I didn’t buy anything from P4 Solar they give me some great advice regarding my existing installation and any future expansion. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is thinking of having a solar Installation put in. They seem exceptionally knowledgeable which is a refreshing experience compared to some of the solar companies I’ve talked to who didn’t seem to have a clue. Ask for Fred Maddox.

Very professional. The quote was clearly laid out and they were happy to spend time to explain everything. There was no hard sell. The fitters were polite and ensured the process ran smoothly. They have a good after sales service and have kept in touch with us whilst we have been swapping to the most effective energy tariffs.

We were very pleased with the service from P4 Solar, from initial contact through to installation. A friend recommended them highly. We have a modern property near Hebden Bridge and had solar panels and battery storage. Everything was clearly explained, and the installation process was quick, clean and tidy. (If only P4 could control the weather!) Communication was excellent throughout. The price and payback were about the amount I had been expecting. P4 were recommended by a colleague and I am delighted with the installation of solar panels and batteries. Compared to other providers P4 are extremely competitive without any compromise on quality. Installation was undertaken with care. Technical support and guidance has been excellent.

From start to end, my experience with P4 has been superb. The whole process was excellent and the help from Fred and the team was great. Nothing was rushed through as they were meticulous and very considered in the proposal. The installation went well and dealing with Jackson, Dec, Ben and the electricians was very easy - a nice bunch. Everything ended up taking half day if we don't include the extra couple of visits to add a couple of bits that were limited by the scaffolding placement. The quote was very competitive and I was able to choose my hardware easily through P4. I had to amend a couple of thing on the day of the install but p4 were more than happy to accommodate. The aftersales care has been great too and I've been receiving support from Justin and Rachel with switching energy provider, to get the most suitable tariff, as well a few tips with setting up my app and battery settings. Everyone that I've dealt with has been fantastic (one mention of Chloe too!).

From start to finish P4 Solar worked hard to develop the design & install layout for my new system.
The result was exactly as agreed, to achieve a neat & tidy scheme which is visually unobtrusive.
All necessary permissions from the network operators to enable energy export were obtained by P4 with minimal delay.
The whole business functioned flawlessly from the design, procurement, install & commercial teams.

Everyhing about P4 Solar is brilliant. From the first inquiry, through to meetings, explainations, installation and aftercare - everything was fantastic.
The team are professional, polite, and friendly - never making this dunce feel stupid when I did not understand/ needed simple explanations.

The detailed plans and the costings were clearly laid out - and cost effective. We were so pleased to find a local family firm who are so professional and great to work with.

Our panels and system were installed in 1 day in early Oct 2025 - and despite having to drill through the middle of our house to reach the electricty meter - the house was left clean (likely cleaner than when they started !!).

The app is simple to use and we are already enjoying the benefits of massively reduced electricty bills (most days we now only pay the standing charge). We are looking forward to seeing not just how much we can save, but hopefully how much we can contribute to the national grid over the coming months and years, so that we can make our tiny contribution to decreasing the UK's reliance on fossil fuels.

P4 designed and installed our whole home battery storage system on a large stone built farmhouse in Yorkshire. The design stage included 2 site visits and some very useful discussion on the various options. The installation itself was quick and very neatly done. Since then it has performed exactly as designed, such that we forget we’ve even got it except for when the significantly reduced power bills come in!
