Will in customer service was extremely helpful when trying to rearrange the delivery for my items at a time that was convenient for me. I didn’t realise quite how speedy the delivery would be and he helped me delay it until I could be around for its arrival.

The company is the big conman out there you will never see a refund or new parts sent out only after your money ones please please do not go to this company customer service what a jock a 3 year old would do a better job for you after you pay for a company to but the unit together they want you to dismantle and end back to them only call they will get me is the belief collection my money and I will collect

Where an item has been assembled, we do ask that it is dismantled before being returned. This is a standard requirement, as assembled furniture cannot be transported safely by our couriers.

Absolutley AWFUL company

Absolutley AWFUL company. Purchased a shoe cabinet. The dowels dont fit in the holes. After struggling to get the first three panels together the 3rd started to damage the hole so stopped! Contacted Own Furniture asking to return it. The reply was that there is no issue with the holes and its my fault! And that tgey can quote me for replacement parts. Customer services where patronizing. Never ever have dealt with such an awful company! Beware ! Under the consumer rights act 2015 they should replace or refund!

Unfortunately, where damage has resulted from mis-assembly, we are unable to offer replacement parts free of charge or arrange a collection for a full refund under our returns policy.

We do appreciate that accidents can happen. Where possible, we are happy to offer replacement parts on a chargeable basis.

Terrible company & service.

Terrible company & service.
I ordered 2 beds from here in April for my children, after weeks of searching for the perfect once we settled on 2 matching beds from here. There were in preorder for around a month which was fine we knew when we ordered. When the date was close I tried to find delivery information as it was still pending , the day after the date I was to ‘expect the beds’ I got a message that morning 9am to say beds due today (anytime) no pre noticed or anything, I was out and hadnt arranged to be home as I hadn’t had any messages.
I arrived home to find £450 worth of beds just laid on my drive, luckily it was dry and they hadn’t been stollen.
This was the first issue.
The next day I unboxed one , matched all the numbers on the beds to pieces needed and all there!
3 hours later finally about to attaché the last piece and it’s the wrong piece, after ages of trying to get my head around it I call the company to be told oh we’re so sorry the version of the bed on the website is the old one, you have been sent a new version ( I wanted access under the bed however the one pictured has access from both sides, the one sent only had access from the back and this particular side is against my wall so no good.
Another few emails and calls from the company and I’m told I need to dismantle the bed, box back up and they will collect over the next week and I’ll be refunded.
All great however now I’ve spend a whole day building and collapsing beds, my boys are now left to sleep on the floor through half term and I’m boxing a very large bed back up which is difficult.
I ask if there is any good will for there mistake and my awful day and trouble to be told there collection the beds and refunding me free of charge (basically I should be happy with that) from there huge error I was not.
4 days later the beds were due to be collected and the company did not turn up , so another day of half term wasted waiting in for them.
They promised to come the next day but at this point I was done so I left them on the drive.
I got a refund a week later luckily and the beds collected.
I asked for some good will in the form of a discounted single mattress (I had no confidence ordering large furniture) after a week of very slow emails I am about to order this elsewhere now.
Poor excuse of a good company, terrible service and very unhelpful unless it’s suiting them.
Absolutly would not recommend if you want a fast seamless service.
I ordered from another company, got the beds 2 days later with lots of updates and amazing service from the delivery guys , worlds apart

Once an order is dispatched from our warehouse, an automatic email is sent providing tracking details and advising of the upcoming delivery. We do appreciate your concerns regarding the delivery being left on your driveway. Whilst we expect our courier partners to provide a high standard of service, the decision to leave a parcel is ultimately made by the driver if they deem the location to be safe and secure.

We would also like to sincerely apologise for the error on the website regarding the bed design. Unfortunately, the product imagery had not been updated to reflect the revised version supplied by the manufacturer. As the product received differed from your expectations, the only way for us to fully resolve the issue was to arrange for the beds to be returned and refunded in full.

We appreciate that dismantling and repackaging the furniture was inconvenient and time-consuming, and we are sorry for the disruption this caused during your children's half-term break.

To apologise for the experience, a goodwill discount was also provided for use against a mattress purchase. Whilst we understand this did not fully make up for the inconvenience caused, it was offered as a gesture of goodwill following the issues experienced.

We are sorry that we fell short of your expectations on this occasion and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

Outrageous return fees

I have ordered a wardrobe from this website. Unfortunately I found out later on that the depth of the wardrobe is too small. The wardrobe itself was £330 and I bought the 5 year protection to go with it. It does say free delivery. Due to the fact that the item has been dispatched they mentioned that £95 will be deducted from the refund if I refuse the delivery due to a simple measurement. Very very disappointed with the way this issue has been handled tried to see if there is an alternative way to resolve the measurement issue no other option was presented. Take it or leave it kind of thing. Be careful buying things from here if you're not sure double and triple check before getting anything as you will be paying them back a third or more of the items worth just for simply changing your mind or finding out that the size isn't the right size.

I made an order and clumsily put the wrong delivery address and selected the wrong colour. Called them and they swiftly corrected the order for me and delivery was rescheduled, with no charge and great understanding!! Couldn’t be more pleased and what a lovely team!

Very confusing

Very confusing. I tried to order a bedside table (£45) to be delivered on a specific date. Everything went through including the payment and I received an email confirming my order. Within minutes of the payment going through, the payment was returned so I assume I won't be receiving the item, although I haven't had an email to advise me of this. Guess I should have checked the reviews first...

Excellent service from Will & Nick, competitive prices, and great quality!

I had a fantastic experience from start to finish.

Pre-sales Support:
Before purchasing, I spoke with an advisor named Will to clarify delivery options and ask about the new "Tessa" range. Since there is no showroom, we looked at the images together to check the line details. Will was incredibly patient and helpful.

Delivery:
I ordered the Tessa wardrobe and a 3+2 chest of drawers on 18th May, and they arrived on 21st May. The delivery driver, Nick, was brilliant. My road was blocked by an accident, so he went to another delivery and came back later once it cleared. I truly appreciated his kindness on a tough day.

Product & Packaging:
The long wardrobe boxes were stacked on smaller boxes, causing them to curve slightly. I mentioned to Nick that this can sometimes fracture side panels, but luckily, the internal packaging was excellent. Everything arrived in perfect condition with all parts included.

Assembly & Quality:
The instructions were easy to follow. The finished units look exactly like the pictures. The black lines are actually powder-coated painted grooves, which look premium and will last a long time.

Overall, I am highly impressed with the competitive pricing and top-tier service!

Bad company and liars. AVOID

I have ordered wardrobe and bed side tables. They have advised that it will arrive on 11th. I have to call and chase to find out that order will be delayed and promised to call me. 2 weeks later no order or phone call but they have happily took my money. Very bad company and liars. AVOID!

Having reviewed your order, we can see that the wardrobe was dispatched on 10th April for delivery on the next working day, which was Monday 13th April, and was successfully delivered.

The bedside tables were ordered on a pre-order basis and were dispatched as soon as stock arrived with us on 22nd May via FedEx. I can also see that a delivery attempt was made on 26th May, which was unfortunately missed, and the items were then successfully delivered on 27th May.

It was delivered quickly and I was pleasantly surprised by the substantial nature and good quality of the wardrobe. Customer service is also excellent. Ongoing Complaint! Terrible Company! No resolutions! 0 Stars!

Responding to Own Furniture’s delayed reply to my previous review.
They claim their Director “personally offered to inspect the item” to help resolve the issue. What a joke.
The Director conveniently offered to visit on every day except the one day I was actually available. I even tried rearranging my entire week to accommodate his schedule, only to then be told how difficult it would be for him due to the distance. His “solution”? Send someone else out — but I would have to PAY for the inspection of THEIR defective product.
To make matters worse, the Director insisted the cupboard was assembled incorrectly. However, the handyman who assembled it — someone who does this professionally almost every day — clearly stated there is something wrong with the cupboard itself because the parts do not align properly. The Director’s response was basically that the handyman doesn’t know how to assemble furniture, while also arrogantly claiming that Own Furniture’s machines “do not make errors.” I was told I can order parts for the cupboard, again, at my expense. They want money for everything and seem to think this is a resolution.
I raised a chargeback because Own Furniture left me with a defective cupboard that does not align or fit together properly. The quality is poor, cheap, and absolutely unacceptable. Instead of resolving the issue, Own Furniture then told my bank that I had “refused assistance,” which is completely false. I have everything documented in writing along with photographic evidence.
I am genuinely shocked by the dishonesty and lack of accountability from this company. After revisiting the reviews today, I can now see many other customers reporting similar experiences. Own Furniture seem more interested in taking people’s money than actually resolving legitimate customer complaints.
Avoid this company if you value customer service, honesty, or product quality. The responses they have left on the reviews are poor!

Following your report, a thorough investigation was carried out involving our Technical Review Team and the manufacturer. Based on the information, photographs, and evidence provided, the conclusion reached was that the issue was consistent with misassembly rather than a manufacturing defect.

Our Director was more than happy to personally inspect the item, however, due to the significant distance involved, he was only available in your area on a specific date. When it became clear that a mutually convenient date could not be arranged, an independent inspection was discussed as an alternative option. We advised that if the inspection concluded that the item had not been misassembled and a manufacturing fault was present, we would have reviewed the findings accordingly, including reimbursement of the inspection cost.

We appreciate that you disagree with the outcome of our investigation. However, our conclusions were based on the findings of both our Technical Team and the manufacturer rather than assumptions alone.

As a chargeback has now been raised, the matter is being handled through the appropriate banking channels, and we will continue to liaise directly with the relevant parties as part of that process.

We are sorry that we were unable to reach a resolution that you were happy with and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

I ordered this chest of drawers and it…

I ordered this chest of drawers and it was delivered in the set time frame but on arrival the screws were missing to attach the legs. I tried to phone the company on the day it was delivered no answer. After contacting them via email 3 times and being told they would organise for the screws to be sent by post. I was ignored in the end with no follow reply to my email. After paying £389.00 I expect the screws to complete my chest of drawer installation. Poor service, will not order anything from this company again.

Awful experience.

Awful experience, zero stars needed. I purchased a wardrobe and selected the date of April 17th at checkout. I arranged for someone to be at my property all day and for the old one to be dismantled. The item never arrived.

I contacted the company via email and they responded Monday, they kept saying the courier company had a back log and my item was on the way. I in turn called FedEx personally and they told me they were awaiting my shipment. Will personally assured me my delivery would arrive on the 21st, and said the company isn’t responsible for the delay due to using a third party. This is false, when you buy a product and select a date your contract for that resides completely with the company you ordered from.

When i checked the tracking on the evening of the 20th I saw the item still said “label created” and that it was still not shipped. On the morning of the 21st I contacted FedEx and they said they were still awaiting the package. I then emailed my cancellation of this product and contacted my bank to initiate the refund process.

The company sent the package hours after this and Katie emailed me to tell me it was on the way and that if I refused the package I’d be charged £55. This is false information used to scare people into accepting a delivery. Under the consumer rights act once a company breaks the delivery contract you can cancel your item. You can also refuse the item at the door especially if they send it after you have cancelled.

The driver turned up and I simply told him this item is to be returned. He took the item and left. Katie then emailed me to tell me I would receive my full refund.

I will never recommend this company nor make any further purchases from them. Please learn your consumer rights if you’re planning on ordering from here. Or take your money to a reputable seller like Amazon or Argos.

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and the frustration caused regarding the delivery delay. We do rely on third-party couriers for fulfilment, and unfortunately, there are occasions where delays occur that are outside of our direct control, despite our best efforts to monitor and chase these on our customers’ behalf.

As the item had been dispatched, any return would normally incur a charge to cover courier and handling costs. This is outlined in our terms and conditions, which are agreed to at the point of order, and is in line with the Consumer Rights Act.

That said, in this instance, once you advised us of your cancellation and refusal of delivery, we did ensure that no return charge was applied and a full refund was processed for you.

We’re sorry again for the inconvenience caused and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
