J'ai plusieurs achats avec OR depuis plusieurs années ! Toujours d'excellente qualité, toujours d'excellents produits. C'est une de mes compagnies préférée. J'ai du faire quelques retours et je n'ai jamais eu de problème (toujours reçu une étiquette de retour). Par contre, j'ai déjà du faire affaire avec le service à la clientèle 1x, un peu déçue car très long délai de réponse. Ils m'avaient proposé un code rabais pour compenser quelque chose mais je ne l'ai jamais reçu. A part ça, je n'ai rien à dire de négatif.
TERRIBLE SERVICE 4 DEFECTIVE ITEMS
I purchased a mens Helium jacket from Outdoor Research and shortly after buying it the toggles to cinch the drawstrings stopped staying tight. I reached out to the company with a kind email understanding these things happen and asking for them to make it right, either through a refund or exchanging it. However, when I called I received some of the worst customer service ever. In fact, I was lied to and told to start a warranty claim, however, I had contacted Outdoor Research within their 60 day window for refunds but they completely failed to acknowledge that. Then after speaking with a manager who said he would make it right, I was told they would only give me a credit. ALL SERIOUS MOUNTAINEERING BRANDS STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS - OUTDOOR RESEARCH DOESN'T! I would highly recommend buying from one of the many other brands that support what they make. I will not be purchasing any Outdoor Research products ever again!

The rain was running down my back within seconds.
The shoulders and sleeves also allow the rain through without a fight.

deceptive advertising and fraudulent business practices.
I recently purchased a Men's Furio GORE-TEX® Jacket that was being offered as a special on the outdoorresearch.com website.
I immediately got a confirmation email saying "You're good to go - Order #### has been placed"
A few days later I got an email saying "Update: Your order is processing"
A week later I got an email saying "Important - Update on your recent order" - "Unfortunately your order was modified and the item(s) below were cancelled"
Since then I have had multiple spam emails advertising your companies products.
I believe that this is not a simple error but rather a premeditated and deceptive way to harvest peoples emails so you can then spam them with your offerings.
This type of business practice is unacceptable.
Offering a good deal on your products and then cancelling two weeks after it has been purchased is deceptive advertising and a fraudulent business practice.
I purchase this item as a birthday gift and now am left stuck with having to find something else at the last minute.
I also tried calling your company during normal business hours and get a message telling me you are closed and to call back during normal business hours.
I am very disappointed with your deceptive corporate practices and will never purchase anything from your company in the future. I will also tell anyone I know of your fraudulent "deals" and to avoid your companies products.
I strongly suggest that you stop screwing people around just to get their email addresses so you can spam them, or whatever your ulterior motives are.
If you sell something then you are obliged to deliver it!
I suggest anyone who has had a similar issue with buying something and having the order cancelled also post their experience, so others can know how the company operates.
OR Customer Service Doesn't Answer Phone or Emails
Placed an order 8/27 and the website auto-filled in MN instead of NH. "Chatted" with bot who said someone would reach out immediately-no response. Emailed with High Importance-no response. Emailed next day with Deliver/Read Option and High Importance--no response. Called 855-967-8197 message said they weren't taking calls. Emailed order cancellation per FAQ on website-no response. Called 206-467-8197 #2 for Customer Service. Can't take calls. Called 206-467-8197 again and #0 for reception. Circled back to original message.
Where the heck is everyone at Outdoor Research? Meanwhile charge is pending. Will dispute with documentation as soon as it is cleared.
Great products, horrible online experience
Very good products but the size was surprisingly not right on this hat and it cost a fortune to return it because they don't use their negotiated rates for returns and I had to use my walk-up customer rates at UPS.

Bought what appeared to be their flagship product: the OR interstellar jacket. After only a year the pockets ripped. Not water proof at all, even after retreating the fabric with a waterproofing solution they recommended.
I just use it as a wind stopper now, but this definitely is no rain jacket. And the fabric does not seem durable at all. I have a feeling they invested in marketing instead of quality. Because at the time I bought it every blog seemed to praise this jacket. I feel kind of ripped of and will probably never purchase from this company again.

Poor customer service and inconvenient return policy
I've had to pay for return shipping from other companies when the articles did not fit properly, but have always been provided a return label for convenience; however OR actually makes you go out of your way to ship it back yourself with no help. When I reached out to support to find out how I should ship it back, I received the following terse response"
"As stated in our return policy on our website, return shipping IS on the customer."
I finally found the section in their return policy that states that you are on your own, but it is under a section titled "THIRD PARTY STORE RETURNS" and can easily be missed. Customer support was not helpful. It can be difficult to order clothing online without being able to try it on first. If you think there is any chance you may have to return the type of clothing you are looking to purchase, I recommend trying a different brand with better customer support.
