Received letter inviting me to participate. Concerned to read VERY small, VERY faint paragraph at bottom of letter that this is a private company, linked with another private company that sells your data & DNA.!
Company report shows unidentifiable image ' pictures' of Chief Officer in very smudged black & white ink that looks like it came from a very old and cheap/faulty printer!- NOT IMPRESSED.

I have to admit that I signed up to this originally as it sounded like the right thing to do if it helps people in the future.

Just got the email asking to for my consent to allow access to my DNA via blood samples, my NHS number and after reading through their literature about what would be done with all this, it was so opaque about who gets access to our information and that ‘researchers’ could have access that were not necessarily even in the UK, I thought I’d dig a little deeper into who these people are and I’m glad I did. I deleted my account with them, god knows who they’re sending your DNA and NHS data to or what they’ll do with it. Once your information is out of the country, it only leaves your imagination to what they will use it for in the future. If they move to insurance based Health Service in the future, they already have an head start in what they know about you.

I wonder why they are interested knowing your DNA? I doubt for diseases reason as the NHS doesn’t give a toss about our health anyway, look at hospitals appointment waiting lists and degrading health services how shocking they are
I assume this to know about peoplesDNA and store them for some other reason that suit them somehow
I would never give that to anyone as no matter how long we live we are to die but we rather die with dignity not with our identity stolen from us

2 previous on the day cancellations and a no show at the actual appointment. The aim is to collect enough data to improve the health of the coming generations, but sadly the people organising this have proven themselves to be totally inept. My advice is not to respond to their plea for blood tests and don't give them any funding.

BIG SCAM. It should be ZERO stars but that is not an option. I thought that this was a genuine NHS partnership but not so. On trying to withdraw from the program the selection gives a telephone number to ring. On phoning the number the agent asked for the last four digits of my credit card. At no time had the survey mentioned any payment and why would I pay when I have been invited by a "NHS partner" to answer questions to aid research. AVOID

I got a letter from them asking me to sign up. I tried telephoning 3 times, but there was never any human being to answer the phone. I then sent an email asking about accessibility for wheelchair users. It took them 3 attempts over several days to answer me. Any company/charity that finds it so hard to answer an email asking about accessibility for wheelchair users is not worth dealing with.

Still not received any voucher, despite repeated correspondence - I'm not bothered but it cost me more than the voucher was worth to get to the blood appointment.

Dont bother unless your appointment is local. If youe a few minutes late the staff member will lock the door, go on their break, arrive 10 minutes later and tell you your too late to see you. Wasted time and petrol driving out of area. Its almost like they dont want people to participate. I am withdrawing my consent for them to use my data. I suggest you do the same if you have already completed the questionnaire.

I have today just had my second appointment cancelled by this organisation in a little under 7 weeks with less than 45 minutes notice which is irritating !. it is clearly a data mining exercise from the type and length of their " Health" questionnaire , everybody in my book deserves a second chance which is why I booked twice, whilst I have no doubt that the clinicians administring the test are highly professional,clearly the administration have a penchant for gaudy makeup and oversize shoes,dont bother and visit your local health centre

Seeing the NHS logo was misleading and irritating. My details will remain private and secure, but for how long? How long before these details are sold to an American company and our NHS is undermined.
If this had been an NHS letter I'm sure my attitude would have been different.

I have just filled in the questionnaire and am surprised and a little disappointed that there were no questions about diet as I think this is crucial to good health and avoidance of diseases such as diabetes. I am sure that my own continuing good health at the age of 86 is mostly due to diet and as much exercise as time and the weather will allow. Good family genes help of course!

This is a comment on their scientific methodology. Living in Devon I was offered a clinic in three places in South Wales, great if you can swim, one in Bristol about 80 miles away and then Southhampton 142 miles away. For your time and travel expenses the incentive is a £10 voucher. That should cover about 22 of those miles at civil service rates. If you live in some parts of Cornwall it will be 190 miles. A bit shorter if you take your helicopter to South Wales.
Who in these areas is going to bother? The people in big towns in South Wales and presumably some big towns in England but not Plymouth, Exeter and Bournemouth. Maybe the SW is an exception but I doubt it.
So they will learn about the health of people living in large towns who give up their time for the survey and a blood sample. Not exactly how science should be done. Yet they are led by a clinical epidemiologist who should know all about bias in research.

This will be for selling data on. It is DNA mining. Survelliance of population. The fact they still cant get people to sign up is interesting. Around 2 million people signed up some time ago.

Don't continue to be a guinea pig.

Pay attention to what big pharma are doing.

ourfuturehealth.org is genuinely aligned with the NHS apparently but I'm very uncomfortable with how and why they contacted me. The letter they randomly sent just looks and reads like the kind of thing scammers would send. I'm staying on the safe side and binning it.

Im quite happy to help out and give information that may be of use. Unfortunately I didn't get to answer any questions as the login was way too complicated with account passwords, links and 'we've sent a verification code'. I drive a lorry, i don't want to be a computer wizard. Good luck with your surveys, but its too complicated for its own good

I too received this letter addressed not to me but my address and lured by the 'In partnership with the NHS' didn't scan the QR code but went to the website. Or rather didn't, as it doesn't exist. Hooray.

Received this letter to my house.
The NHS Scotland logo looked genuine, but the signatories' names did raise an eyebrow.
The £10 offer for doing a sample did not tempt me, but as advertised that 2m had signed up, seems a huge amount of cash involved, all from different "health" sources.
I know NHS Scotland has not that amount to waste.
Did not proceed beyond my name.

This appears to an organisation buying detailed personal information, to be sold for financial gain, under the guise of being sanctioned by the NHS. A big scam in my opinion.

I'm so glad i checked on here, i received a letter this morning and i nearly started to fill this in and give all my details!
I thought it was genuine and part of an NHS survey !! Surely these letters could be stopped by Royal mail? doesn't anyone check for this type of scam? There will be people that don't know to check on trust pilot??
