Ada was knowledgable and very helpful. She was personable and made the enrolment process enjoyable.

Everything is difficult at the beginning. Thanks to the Enrollment Consultant Sean who guided me step by step through the enrollment process and answered to my questions. It is definitely a good start to my learning journey in Open Colleges.

Was first enrolled in the wrong course on fixing this i was told don't worry the new course would be the same cost. New course was charged at a different price. So called said just cancel the course was told would have to pay full price off course even though the contract said only 40 percent would be charged. When I raised this issue I was told to raise a complaint an it would take 20 days. After 30 days I called them an was told it took 20 days to acknowledge the complaint an they still had now 20 working 20 days to solve the matter. After numerous emails an phone calls an text mostly ignored im still waiting on an outcome

I was able to navigate through open space quite easily and I was able to see clearly what stage of my course I was up to. My assessor was easy to contact and if I was stuck, he was able to talk me through it.

Very helpful and accommodating to my time schedule for calls and responses to email. Very informative and able to help me work out what I needed.

Waste of time and scam!

I have the worst experience with open college and skilltrak who they work with for work placement. I have had the same experience like all the other reviews except i just realized it now. With the aggressive sales tactics, lack of communication, and worst part is withdrawal fees. I sent them a enquiry about cert 2 animal care course and the first phone call was supposed to be a quick 5 mins call “apparently” but turned out to be a 30 mins phone call with $300 got taken out of my account to ensure my spot. Got enrolled quick but no details got sent to me or logins details nothing. I kept study until i got up to the first 60hrs work placement and thats when it crashes. I was ready for work placement since April and they only just find me one at a vet clinic in july. I had an interview and the vet supervisor told me to start the next day. They kept calling me during work hours and when i finally call back they screamed at me from the top of their lungs that i wasn’t supposed to do so and have to wait for all the paperwork is dont. I wasn’t informed about that not did the vet clinic. The paper work was done in august so then i kept going until had a sit down talk with my supervisor that they should let me go because of the cert im doing is not suitable for that place and they’re not legally allowed me to do anything. The entire time i was there all i did was doing their laundry sweep and mop the floor. Even before they found me this place i have talked to them about withdrawing and they said because im only just waiting for - work placement and if i leave now i will get nothing put of it and during that time the withdrawal fees was around $1700 and I would’ve got a few hundred back so i thought might aswell stay and go to tafe next year. So i stayed up until now i still dont have work placement so i decided to just withdraw and apparently i owe them 99 bucks because of the withdrawal fee is $2700 something and i only paid $2600 something. If i left since i will get some of it back at least something. Now i just wasted my time and money and energy for NOTHING.

My contact at Open Colleges was Ada. I had sent a message through via the website and she called immediately. She was professional with a really warm approach, easy to talk to and very patient. Ada answered all my questions (clearly knows her job and Course knowledge), and she communicated everything about the course extremely well. All emails from the OC were efficient but Ada is awesome at her job!:)

My study with Open Colleges, as I did my diploma of community services, was fantastic, though some challenges would come up at some point.
I wish to express my gratitude for the assistance and guidance, by both the Open Colleges staff and in particular my assessor Oni Kaleti. He would provide prompt assement feedback. He was patient and helpful in guiding me towards the correct path.
In short I wish to applaud Open Colleges for displaying this level of professionalism.
