After having a terrible experience at…
After having a terrible experience at the Wakefield branch, we decided to visit the Leeds dealership.
We purchased our Jaecoo 7 today from Gareth who was absolutely fantastic. Very informative, Patient and genuinely wanted to help us (unlike Wakefield!)
The whole process was quick and easy. I was torn between the Jaecoo 5 & 7. Gareth was very good at comparing figures and car specs etc so we could
Make a decision.
Very good customer care and service - thanks again Gareth. We can’t wait to collect our new car in a couple of weeks! 😁 👏 🤞
Customer support non-existent
Bought a new Omoda Noble in November 2024. Was expecting a first service reminder as is the custom with all other main dealers we have purchased from in the past (BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover etc). In March 2026 I realised we hadn't had a first service reminder and contacted them. I was told it was down to me to remember and that as a result of it being 4 months overdue the 7 yrs warranty was null and void. I asked to speak to the service manager who promised to look into it. Haven't heard a thing. The service reception team claimed that they do try to remind customers but are not obliged to do so. This dealership (Greenhous in Shrewsbury) need lessons in developing customer relations and how to manage customer expectations. The vehicle itself hasn't presented any issues (thus far) but based on my overall experience with the dealership I wouldn't consider buying another.
Shambles of a service
Shambles of a service. I went in for a test drive and at that time there was a promotion of a year's worth of free car washes promotion if you had a test drive. Went for this and said everything is okay and you will receive an email within a few days. I never received an email with my car washes, and when I call up, they say there is nothing we can do. Shambles of a service and not great customer service. Avoid this company at all costs!
Cheap car - stay away, don’t waste your money or time
Funny how their google prompted reviews are great, in comparison to reviews here. The car is junk. Cheaply made and zero customer service after you take the car. I had 7 issues with the car, post a few weeks of having it! And yet they haven’t fixed a single one of them! Stay away from this brand, it’s not worth the hassle.
A brand that takes your money and forgets you exist
We bought a Jaecoo with high hopes. It looked great, felt premium, and the sales experience was smooth. But the moment we needed support, the brand we trusted simply vanished.
Our car has been sitting in a garage since October 2025 waiting for a single replacement part. Five months on, we are no closer to getting it back. No one at Jaecoo has been able to tell us when this will be resolved.
What makes this worse is the complete lack of care. Emails go unanswered. Promises are made and broken. We have been left without a car, without a courtesy vehicle, and without any acknowledgement of the disruption this has caused to our daily lives.
We then discovered that despite Jaecoo's website claiming Motor Ombudsman accreditation, the Ombudsman themselves have no record of them. We are now pursuing this as a formal matter.
Buying a car is a significant investment. You deserve to know that if anything goes wrong, the manufacturer will stand behind their product. Jaecoo will not.
Think very carefully before you buy.
6 months without my car — zero accountability from Jaecoo UK
I have been without my car since October 2025 due to an unavailable replacement part. What should have been a straightforward repair has turned into a six-month ordeal with no end in sight.
I raised a formal complaint with Jaecoo UK in January 2026. A customer relations supervisor acknowledged it on 26 February, asked me to provide part details, which I did immediately — and then went completely silent. Multiple follow-up emails have been ignored.
I escalated to another contact within Jaecoo who had previously been helpful. He too asked for details, received them, and then also stopped responding.
During this entire period I have received no courtesy car, no compensation, and no meaningful update on when the parts will arrive.
Perhaps most concerningly, Jaecoo's website states they are accredited to The Motor Ombudsman's Service and Repair Code of Practice. When I contacted the Ombudsman to raise a formal complaint, I was told Jaecoo are not listed with them. I have since written to the Ombudsman highlighting this contradiction and am awaiting their response.
I bought a Jaecoo because I believed in the brand. That trust has been completely destroyed by the way this has been handled. If you are considering buying a Jaecoo, please think carefully about what aftersales support you will receive if something goes wrong.
This matter remains unresolved.

Massive thank you to Sam for his patience and support. Buying a new car can often be difficult with pushy sales people and not knowing what you’ve got for the price! Sam was incredible. Very knowledgable, supportive and a pleasure to deal with! Nothing was too much trouble for him! Very pleased! Thanks Luscombe!

Just picked up our 26 plate Jaecoo 7 and we love it. Massive thanks to Simon and Gareth, they made everything straightforward and seamless. Simon was very thorough and helpful explaining everything to do with the car, how it all works etc. I would recommend anyone considering Jaecoo or Omoda to come visit Luscombe's Leeds!

First class experience!!!
Having been told that Luscombe's had opened a brand new Omoda/Jaecoo dealership in Leeds, it was music to my ears due to it being very convenient and thus saving a lot of time and effort having not to drive much further afield.
Having been prompted that my Jaecoo 7 was ready for its first service, I called their service department and spoke to Andy who was extremely courteous, obliging and most helpful and made booking the appointment a pleasure.
I dropped the vehicle off this morning and was greeted by Andy, who genuinely couldn't do enough for me. It was like going back in time, due to his helpful manner and being treated like a valued customer, the way it used to be!
Later in the day I was amazed to receive a video of my vehicles service from Sam, followed up by a phone call from Andy telling me that the vehicle was ready.
On arrival, once again I was greeted by Andy, who proceeded to explain the various details of the service. Once again I was so impressed with the time and effort he spent. I needed to ask him a few technical details relating to the vehicle which he was prepared to spend even more time explaining. He then introduced me to Simon and said that he is even more knowledgeable.
Simon too, was very courteous, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. So much so, he took me for a tutorial in my vehicle which turned out to be very educational.
The whole experience was outstanding.
Thank you very much guys, it was greatly appreciated.
Best wishes,
Stephen J
Extremely poor and unprofessional…
Extremely poor and unprofessional experience.
We initially wanted to arrange a test drive with Omoda Bromley (Atlas Revive), but even this proved unnecessarily difficult. Calls went unanswered, online chat received no response, and after multiple attempts over the course of two weeks, including contact forms and follow-ups…we finally managed to get something arranged as one of us went into the dealership, even then no note of our name or number was taken!
The whole process felt disorganised and inconsistent from the outset.
When I arrived for the test drive, despite being early and clearly acknowledged by several staff, and salesperson being told I’d arrived, after 20 mins I had to go over and prompt the salesperson myself. The process was very informal—no real paperwork, just a photocopy of a driving licence, which felt unusual compared to other dealerships.
After the test drive, we were presented with an offer as part of a promotion and price was fair so due to time constraints, we agreed and paid a deposit.
However, the real issue came afterwards.
Upon reviewing the paperwork, I noticed there were no terms and conditions provided, despite signing a document that explicitly stated we were agreeing to them. When I queried this, I was told by the salesperson that it was “above his pay grade” and that he couldn’t explain what the terms actually were. This is completely unacceptable when committing to purchase a £36k vehicle.
Attempts to resolve this were equally frustrating. Emails went unanswered, and requests for a manager to call back were unresponded. We ultimately had to attend the dealership in person to cancel the order and recover our deposit.
While the GM was polite and transparent, even he acknowledged that there were no agreed terms and conditions in place, and that the business was still trying to source or create them. Customers were effectively being asked to sign agreements to terms that do not exist.
This raises serious concerns about professionalism, compliance, and basic business practices. The lack of structure, communication, and legal clarity made it impossible for us to proceed.
We have since cancelled and would not recommend this dealership based on our experience.

Went for the vip event with the promise of a yearcar wash
Three weeks and several phone calls later stunned to find no voucher income they don't want to know
Very blatantly breaching their part of the deal
No problems at all so far.
Had my car 3 months now. I purchased the PHEV. 1700kms and no problems. Use on EV mode pretty much all of the time and used less than a litre of petrol so far.

I’ve had my Jaecoo J7 since August 2025 and love it. It’s comfortable to drive, spacious, good size family car. I have the PHEV and have a home charger so great economically (charged every night). Once you get used to finding things on the screen it’s so easy to use!
RAC Cover

Not impressed - 74 Petrol Noble.
Had a few issues where the car just wouldn’t start and only makes a grinding crunching sound when I turn the key.
My complimentary RAC breakdown cover expired after a year, back in November ‘24 and I still cannot get it reinstated almost 4 months later, after numerous calls to both the dealership and Omoda Customer services.
I followed all of the correct criteria and service schedules, ensuring that it was undertaken at an Omoda dealership and within the given time frame and mileage.
I’d live to give this car back to my leasing company but they just won’t let me.
Omoda are the pits. Don’t buy or lease!
I’m unable to give a petrol Jaecoo J7 Luxury zero stars unfortunately
I’m unable to give the car zero stars. The car started exhibiting serious faults after 5.5 months of ownership. It jumps out of drive & won’t go back in for 10-15 minutes. This has also happened on a motorway slip road. Lots of faults come up quickly on the dash. As the faults weren’t in the car’s fault log, the dealer, Perrys Aylesbury wouldn’t believe me. I had to film them to be believed.
Perrys had the car for a running total of 55 days but the fault came back after two days. Even though I’ve filmed faults again, they don’t want to know.
Read the forums, many petrol & hybrid owners have the same fault as me with it also not storing in the fault history of the car. It’s a very expensive pile of scrap.
Unfortunately my experience with…
Unfortunately my experience with Marshall OMODA & JAECOO Gatwick was extremely disappointing.
My Motability vehicle was ordered almost four months ago, yet during that time I received virtually no proactive communication from the dealership. Every update had to be chased, and when we did manage to speak to someone we were given different delivery dates and promises of call backs that rarely happened.
As a customer on the Motability Scheme, having a reliable vehicle is incredibly important for independence and attending medical appointments. Unfortunately the way this situation was handled left me without a car and relying heavily on others.
After months of waiting and uncertainty, I eventually cancelled the order and went to another dealership who managed to provide a vehicle quickly and with clear communication.
I hope this review encourages improvements in communication and customer care, because my experience fell far below what I expected.
I would strongly warn anyone considering ordering through this dealership to think twice.
We purchased a brand new Jaecoo J5…
We purchased a brand new Jaecoo J5 pure. What we weren't told on collection is that the Jaecoo insurance broker will not provide insurance cover for the vehicle. We were sent a link for complimentary, drive away insurance cover, only to find that it was useless, as they won't provide any cover for this car. This caused us a huge problem on the day when we went to collect the car, as we had to arrange drive-away insurance, which was very stressful, when you are collecting a new car, and should be focusing on the car itself. The next shock was when we contacted Jaecoo insurance to purchase insurance cover, only to be told that they won't insure this model. Just how they can call themselves a provider of Jaecoo insurance, when they won't insure a Jaecoo J5 pure is quite an eye opener. We complained but they say there is nothing they can do about it. You would think that the dealer would have known about this issue being a specialist, but nobody told us, or forewarned us.
Omoda E5
Omoda E5, where do we start, radio doesn't receive signal, front hub came loose had to have new discs and pads, reported to the dvsa now a recall because it has happened to loads of owners. Rear sensors still detecting when nothing there, now a warning on the dashboard.
When you buy the car you are told you get up to 7 years RAC cover providing it is serviced by main dealer. Rang Omoda UK, we need the invoice from the dealer, took me a week to get the invoice, sent it to Omoda still no RAC cover, be very wary purchasing one of these temu cars, quality is questionable and the loose hub, well
Car wash voucher with VIP event from Omoda Jaecoo…
There was a VIP event from Omoda Jaecoo that promised Free car wash for 1 year with test drive. Upon waiting more than 1 hour got to test drive Omoda 9.
But no car wash voucher received even after sending emails to the dealer several times.
Big scam, think if they can't give a £100 voucher then what car service they would offer.
OMODA E5 - Massively Misleading Range – Deeply Disappointed
This was my first leased car, and I am genuinely counting down the days until the two years are over. If I had bought this outright, I would be furious.
The OMODA E5 was sold on a 270-mile range. In the real world, that figure is nowhere near reality. Within a month, the displayed range dropped to around 160 miles on a full charge — and it doesn’t even achieve that in practice. I have effectively lost close to 50% of the advertised driving mileage. That is not a small discrepancy. That is a massive gap between marketing and reality.
My efficiency dropped from roughly 3.5 miles per kWh to about 2.6 miles per kWh in just one month on a brand-new vehicle. You spend more time watching the battery percentage than enjoying the drive.
After speaking to other EV drivers, I’ve heard similar complaints. It’s clearly not just this model. Other EVs may lose slightly less range, but the issue of inflated, unrealistic advertised mileage seems widespread. Cold weather, heating, motorway speeds — the range collapses. The brochure numbers simply do not reflect daily UK use.
Yes, the car looks modern and drives smoothly enough in a straight line. But that’s about it.
The grip is poor. I previously had a much cheaper car and it had noticeably better road holding and confidence. For a new SUV, that’s embarrassing. The tyre grip in particular feels weak — I can only assume the tyre quality is part of the problem. It does not inspire confidence.
The driver assistance systems are relentless. Before you even set off, you have to deactivate half the sensors through the system, otherwise it’s constant beeping and warnings. It’s intrusive and distracting. Instead of improving safety, it feels like a continuous annoyance and, at times, a distraction while driving.
The interior is another issue. The car is constantly damp inside and the windows fog up from the inside. I’ve never had this problem with any other vehicle I’ve owned. There’s no clear reason for it, but it’s frustrating and not what you expect from a new car.
The wing mirrors are also poorly executed. They auto-fold when parked, but after a few cycles they end up out of alignment and require constant readjustment. It’s basic functionality that shouldn’t be this inconsistent.
Overall, this has been a disappointing experience. The advertised range does not reflect reality, the grip is underwhelming, the interior has moisture issues, the mirrors constantly shift, and the electronic warnings are more irritating than helpful.
If I had the choice again, I would take a petrol SUV without hesitation. At least with petrol, the range is predictable and honest. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering this car — or moving to electric without fully understanding real-world limitations — to think very carefully before committing.
Bad car quality and customer service
Had my Jaecoo E5 for not even two weeks. In the first hour, the central touchscreen froze for a couple of hours. Now the car has completely broken down with multiple sensor failure warnings. It’s been taken to the garage and I’ve been told it could take nearly a month just to diagnose the issue.
Customer support is almost non-existent — sadly matching the car’s quality. Extremely disappointing experience. Stay away.
Recall Roulette: Will Your Car Still Be On The Drive In The Morning?
Buy the car if you wish but be aware that Jaecoo head office has demonstrated a willingness to initiate serious actions involving your vehicle and personal data without informing you or the dealership that sold the car, and without providing any explanation to the customer.
This review is not directed at the local dealership, who sold the Jaecoo 5, vehicle and who acted professionally throughout, in confirming there was no recall on the vehicle and are as confused as we are surrounding the following as outlined below. Responsibility lies entirely with Jaecoo head office and operations.
To fully explain:
From purchasing the vehicle on 7 January,2026, it has worked without fail. On Wednesday 4 February, 2026, I received unsolicited calls from two unknown individuals on unidentified mobile numbers, stating that my car was subject to a recall and was to be collected and that they were on they way to my home to collect the vehicle. They had all of my personal details.
The callers were unprofessional, refused to identify the transport company they claimed to work for, yet insisted they had been instructed by Jaecoo to collect the vehicle.
NO WRITTEN NOTICE WAS PROVIDED and Jaecoo did not contact me directly at any point.
On Saturday 7 February, the situation escalated when Enterprise Rent A Car contacted me via phone and followed up by two emails confirming a car rental booking was made in my full name.
This means my personal data including name, address and vehicle registration, telephone and email details had already been passed to another third party, without my consent or knowledge. This was in addition to the two earlier individuals of Wednesday 4 who had also been given my details.
Enterprise stated the booking was initiated by Omoda Jaecoo and that they had been told our vehicle had broken down, which was completely untrue. We had driven the vehicle the evening prior and nothing was wrong with it. Now a shift from "a recall" to "broken down."
When questioned further as to, through what channels Enterprise got my personal details, and their instructions, the manager became hostile and ended the call.
Throughout this entire period the supplying dealership who sold the car, stated there was no recall. I also did government recall checks with DVSA which showed no recall and the vehicle certainly had not broken down.
Additionally, an online Jaecoo chat agent, Nathan confirmed that he was unaware of any recall, and Jaecoo telephone support later, on Saturday also claimed they were unaware of any recall.
Once again during Saturday, on contacting the dealership they stated that it could be that a software update was required but were unable to get a response from Jaecoo as they probably were closed on Saturdays.
This entire situation has caused me immense stress as in today’s climate of high level scams, this behaviour of unsolicited contact and unverified claims, has caused genuine fear that the vehicle could be taken from our driveway at any moment by unknown would be perpetrators.
Also, it is highly concerning that no consideration was given to whether we were at home or away, how we would cope without a vehicle, (if it was indeed taken on the Wednesday) or the impact on vulnerable customers this discourteous process has caused.
As of writing this review, Jaecoo have still not approached us with any explanation or apology.
If this was not a scam, then Jaecoo’s failure to inform their own dealership, communicate with the customer, and protect personal data is completely unacceptable and extremely concerning. If it was a scam, then their systems allowed it to happen.
Either way, this represents a serious failure of communication, duty of care and basic respect for buyers.
