The products are nothing like advertised. They are poorly made in flimsy material and much too big for any space. The dimensions are different from advertised and pictured. They arrived in 2 tiny packages from China. The Melbourne part of their name is a lie. The company has not responded to a request to return them and products for a full refund.

This would have to be the worst product I have ever purchased online. The sizing is absolutely ridiculous. When they say large, they apparently mean large enough to fit a person and a half inside!

The sides are so flimsy they can’t even hold themselves upright or maintain their shape. I genuinely have no idea how this product is supposed to be functional.

The quality is appalling, and what arrived looks absolutely nothing like the pictures advertised.

Extremely disappointed. A complete waste of money, and I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Initially I saw the 70% sale ending tonight & fell for it.A month later the ending tonight is still on
Alarm bells started to ring when I saw that I was charged at international transaction fee & it went to a Spanish bank.
I had to email to “ encourage” them to ship my order after the 10-12 days arrival window. At that stage the tracker was still saying the order hadn’t even been packed.
My order finally arrived. I had ordered more than one basket but only opened one & wow was I disappointed. It was vacuum packed so it had been folded & squashed. The top circular bit was angular - not the beautiful round circle we see in the photos.
Worst of all though, the basket has no rigidity & cannot support itself & is so floppy & it collapses. Certainly nothing like the firm upright baskets pictured on the website.
I’ve emailed that I want to return them but they claimed “ change of mind” & I would need to pay the return fee. To send back to the address in China , the cost starts at over $60 .
I am claiming that it does not match the description & photos on the website, where their return policy says “at no cost to you” for goods not matching the description .
I am getting lots of AI beautifully written replies but so far I am not getting any real & genuine customer service.

There is no shop for Olivia Bennett Melbourne. The images are fake and in fact the entire operation is fake. This is a SCAM website that is advertising through Facebook and possible other social media channels. I assume if the order ever arrives it will be a very poor quality product.

This product and site doesn't deserve any stars, but I had to put in a star to be able to access the comment section. For starters, you get charged an international transfer fee which the site neglects to mention. This is a separate charge to the original order which shows up in your bank statement after the purchase has been made. As for the product itself, well it is definitely not quilted in the true sense of quilting; the design just has a quilted effect and the material is something like neoprene. The site is most likely a scam site which is lying when it comes to the product description. Whoever has set up this site and products clearly has no conscience when it comes to misleading its customers.

If I could give zero stars I would. The product did actually arrive after nearly 3 weeks but is not self-supporting as claimed, so fairly useless as a laundry basket. It is quilted but the design is just printed. The tracking is fairly suspect too.

Photos of the product that does not reflect what you are trying to sell on your website - definitely no stitching on quilted picture ! It’s printed !!
This is false advertising n sale of your product so therefore you need to stop before this escalates further - I’ve not opened the others purchased as I will use that as evidence later

I was scammed by this merchant. Placed an order on 11 September and never received it.
Despite multiple emails to their customer service, and requesting a refund they are telling me they won’t refund my money.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAMMER!

These laundry baskets are not what appears on their website! They do not stand up and the embroidery and quality is nothing like the photos. Buyer beware!!! Drop shipping scam.

I have contacted customer service which were responsive but I will update you to let you know if they honour their refund policy and refund me.

Nothing like the photo, printed not quilted, the basket doesn't stand up, it just flops. Very disappointing.

At length, a full refund was in the bank account on the morning of 10 October 2026.

This update is to acknowledge that.

If, on the balance of probability, we thought that this was a legitimate merchant we might have removed the review. However, we just think we have had a lucky escape. The matter had been reported to Shopify's fraud/scam team as well as to the bank and Scamwatch Australia.

Telltale signs we should have noticed before purchase:
- Shop Pay / Shopify reviews
- FB profile page listing Pounds not AUD, and a 1 April birthday
- Clones of the advertising on social media reusing the images with a variation on the selling proposition
- A detailed FB post by Scam Savvy Aussie sounding the alarm

A 10 second Google search would have uncovered information about this merchant very quickly.

Post purchase alarms:
- the use of a t.shopify.com email domain for both the order confirmation and the refund notification (instead of Shopify.com)
- the undeliverable email address in the purchase receipt
- while the info@ email on the website reaches ‘someone’ or ‘something’ - there was Spanish language in two emails we have from the this email address, and
- the data generated about this merchant and its website by Google’s Gemini.

Even though the money is back independent of the transaction dispute with the bank, we still think this is a questionable merchant and we count ourselves lucky to get the money back.

We could have avoided having to cancel the card and pursue a refund if we had checked the Shop Pay / Shopify reviews. You cannot leave reviews when you’ve cancelled the order, so we cannot leave one there. However there are a number of reviews about this merchant and we would have been smart if we had checked those.

After we received a message that we would get a refund, we noticed tracking numbers appear in Shop for shipping. One in a Chinese language script and one in an English language script. We do not know why that would happen after notification of a refund, but it did make us doubt that any refund was really on the way.

It took a few days after the message confirming a refund for the order to appear cancelled in Shop Pay.

We used Google’s Gemini AI to seek information about this merchant’s website oliviabennett-melbourne.com and got detailed results backing up our misgivings. We asked Gemini questions about the location of the website and the merchant, the language, and scam alerts. We cannot upload images of these results here but thoroughly recommend spending a couple of minutes investigating online-only merchants using an advanced search tool *before pressing the purchase button*.

ORIGINAL REVIEW CONTENT
This business is likely a drop shipping scam advertised on social media. If you click, your social media feed will start to be flooded by all the other copies. If you’re looking for a hint that the material is false, the profile lists its birthday as 1 April.

Seems to copy merch images from Shein or Temu. Operates under many different names. All different prices.

Has a real website but that doesn’t make the business legit.

The bank said it is behaving like a drop-shipper and is currently tracing to a women's ready to wear company in Spain. Pretends (in Australia) to be any number of closing down businesses run by friendly looking (probably AI) women.

Transacts through Shopify / Shop and a number of other payment methods. Reported in this instance to Shopify via its Fraud reporting form.

The email address for it (the help @ email on the order receipt) comes back as undeliverable. The info @ email appears to work, or at least has not come back as undeliverable as yet.

Don't make the mistake we did. You will be replacing your card and disputing the transaction.

Update: I see now other reviews confirming it is a scam as I warned on 4 Oct. See their well written AI reply sent to me below. They also emailed me, pleading to remove my review, saying they are legit. I lodged a "Dispute Transaction" with my bank, sending all the emails showing evidence of them not offering a return address or refund, photos of recvd item versus website photos and now the bank have thankfully refunded me. Worth a try if you have been scammed.
BUYER BEWARE - Please read reviews for "Rosie and Pearl" on Trustpilot. I was scammed by them in July 2026. Olivia Bennett is selling the exact same products, same website layout, same sob story of a mother & daughter closing down their store but they were in "Noosa" then not Melbourne. They do not have a shop. They did not send the complete order. The item was not handmade but cheap China mass produced of extremely poor quality fabric and sewing. They would not allow item to be returned for a full refund as advertised. Emails from them are all very sweet with love hearts and flowers, well written (thanks to AI I presume) but they do not deliver what they promise. I have advised Scamwatch and Meta.
