Absolutely shocking companny to work for. It's very very very much a female only working space. I am a male registered nurse and trying to find a shift is near impossible. All the pre-booked shifts demand a "female only" worker which is disheartening because I am a nurse but because of my gender, I am not good enough despite have well over a decade of experience.

The uniform remains an issue. I've been on the SNG for over 2 years and yet to receive my uniform. The companny demands you to comply to their uniform policy yet see no issue in not providing you with a SNG embroidered tunic. I've had to buy a cheap uniform off of amazon to even work shifts.

The only shifts I have been able to work are the ones that are requested last minute and give very little time to prepare for.

If you a man... Stay away from the guild.

Have been employed by Scottish Nursing Guild for many years .Happy with the quantity of shifts as I work part-time .The mileage is reimbursed which is beneficial as shifts are sometimes further afield.Staff are very helpful and respond promptly to any contact.Training opportunities on line and in person are good and Quick Nurse is an easily navigated web site to monitor compliance and availability of shifts Highly recommended .

Great company to work for. There is always someone there 24/7. Great training. Pay rates are good. Have worked for them for 11 years.

Excellent company to work with. Wide variety of shifts available. Very pleasant staff and easy booking system. The rates are very good and mileage allowance is paid. Overall, I feel valued and would not hesitate to recommend the Guild.

The pay rates are great so that means you don’t have to take too many shift .
Which gives you time for yourself and family.
Mileage is covered so you can drive anywhere comfortably.
They offer trainings which is great.
I would gladly refer SNG to my friends.

I registered with SNG last 2022 but did not start working my shift until May 2025.

I've done a few shifts and I really enjoyed ,now i love to do more.Highly recommendable to friends.

Have been working with the Guild for a year now. I have been recommending them to any of my nursing colleagues who have been considering agency work. They have great rates of pay, offer more for specialties (unlike other agencies), have good flexibility and great range of shifts available. State to be a “last minute agency” but there is often shifts available with sometimes up to a month’s notice! The application was quick, the interview was completely virtual and in your own time. Best decision I made was to join.

So i joined on line after being referred by colleague. Initial call from agency after i told them my experiences i was informed that they cannot offer agency job for me.There was no question into my ward experiences or if i currently do overtime at ward level.Just shut down!!!

Completed post grad Urology course in RCSI
Completed post grad Colorectal Course RSCI
Completed level 8 colorectal course in Birmingham University UK and the customer service just shut me to say no job for me 😝
